Anna and the team at Winkworth's are truly amazing! I needed to let my flat out in a hurry 4 years ago. From the moment I made contact with Anna, she reassured me that everything would be ok and that they would take care of everything so I could focus the move.
As a first time landlady, there were a few things I needed guidance on(!) Anna always gave professional advice, balancing my needs and the tenants.
Maintenance works were timely, and carried out by reliable contractors, without inflated invoices.
I needed to return to my flat this summer. Anna handled this delicately with the tenants, finding them an alternative property to move in to, so their stress was minimised. Then when I phoned her in a panic, having got stuck on the move day(!), she went out of her way to drop a spare set of keys to the movers, who had been waiting outside.
I can't thank Winkworths enough for their time, care and the excellent service they have provided. Highly recommend!

I didn’t think to leave a review for Winkworth whilst I was working with them as everything went smooth and they did a good job looking after my rental property. I’m now selling the property and I have to say once the tenant moved out and Winkworth has stopped looking after the flat, Anna has gone above and beyond to help me with things that I have needed, which for an estate agent who is no longer being paid to take care of your property goes to show work ethic, care and true integrity. Its not often you get this kind of service! Thank you Anna! It hasn’t gone unnoticed!

The team at Winkworth are fabulous and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking to sell (or buy or rent) a home.
Winkworth was our agent for the sale of our property which completed in late June 2023 but this is just the end of the story.
We'd tried to sell, unsuccessfully, in 2022 using a different estate agency who turned out to be a complete waste of space (a different and much longer story but mainly involved continual price drop recommendations and being bombarded with tons of automated communications.
In January 2023 we decided to have another go at selling so we contacted Winkworth and met with Michael (who I had foolishly overlooked first time around). He reassured us that our property was readily saleable and at the price we were originally looking for so we, after having our confidence ripped to shreds the previous year, this was music to our ears and we happily signed up with Winkworth.
We had very positive viewings, run by Anna and Alyx, all people with a genuine interest and in a strong position to offer. Anna kept us fully abreast of the progress and was clearly working closely with one couple who had a very strong interest. Three weeks later we had (and accepted) an offer very close to our asking price.
The overall process was a little drawn out, mainly because of some complications with the purchase of our new build property, some issues with the survey of a property lower down in the chain and also with a very late withdrawl at the start of the chain.
Throughout all of this, Anna was our rock. She was the one who always had the freshest news from all parts of the chain and, whether good or bad, was quick to update us and explain, clearly, what the effect of any developments could/would be.
Our transaction was a bit of a rollercoaster ride at times but Anna was the calming voice of reason throughout. Without her, I think we would have just given up.
In any case, we are two months in our new home and very happy with it. We hear from our old neighbours that the new owners of our old home are very happy too. Both families have the Winkworth team to thank for this.
Sell (or buy) with Winkworth, you won't regret it.

Just had a market appraisal that quite honestly I was extremely disappointed with. The gentleman was abrupt, judgemental and rude. The price he gave was insulting, his manner was standoffish and he wasn't personable at all.
If this is how the staff treat you when you haven't begun using their service then I hate to think how badly they would treat you as a customer.
My advice to them is to not send this gentleman to people's homes if they want business. He was not pleasant at all. He didn't leave me with any information regarding their costs, what they offer or how they would market my property should I chose to use them.
Overall this was terrible service.
Would not recommend!

I recently sold my property through Winkworth who provided us with an outstanding service. Not only did they keep us up to date with our sale they also helped with our purchase more than they needed to! Anna constantly kept us updated through out the process and so did the rest of the team. The process of moving was a lot easier for us as Winkworth provided us with the reassurance. It was not a smooth transaction due to paperwork issues and loosing buyers. However Anna and the team always had a solution for everything. Highly recommend using their service.

Our seller used these guys and they may as well have been working for both of us.
We had a protracted and painful selling experience ourselves (nothing to do with Winkworth, just the property we were selling being tied up in lots or arcane conveyancing snares) and Anna especially went above and beyond in liaising with, chasing and co-ordinating all the disparate parties needed to make a sale happen.
Couldn't recommend using these guys enough, if you're thinking of selling your property.

Despite the market seeming to favour the cheap no frills internet based estate agencies there really is no substitute for the local high street variety, particularly as in my case I had a lot of properties to sell. Yes, of course I could have done it cheaper, but would that include the negotiation to increase an offer from £85K to £105K? Would that also include poking the odd solicitor to get a move on and also the important liaison service to ensure all parties are in step? That's worth paying for.

I sold my house through Winkworth - at the time it was a choice between them and one other agent, and I wish I'd chosen differently. If you want an agent who is going to proactively progress your house sale - this in not the company for you.
The transaction dragged on for months without an explanation - my buyer held up the entire chain, and I would question what due diligence Winkworth undertook when putting his offer to me. I wasn't aware, for example, that he was borrowing from an unregulated lender, who refused to send funds on completion day, breaching the contract and risking me thousands of pounds in costs to the person I was buying from.
Several months in, when nothing was happening, I called Michael to ask him why there were so many delays. He had no real information, and asked me what I wanted him to do. When I suggested several simple things he could do (call the buyer's solicitor, call the lender's solicitor etc), he said "Thank you for telling me how to do my job". I found this entirely unprofessional, and not what I would expect from someone who told me he had been doing the job for decades.
A week later, after my buyer failed to complete, Michael hung up on the agent for my seller. Given that I was in breach of contract to the seller at the time, I again found this completely unprofessional and unhelpful. I was working hard to maintain a good relationship with the seller to limit the damages that they might seek from me.
This was a simple residential transaction, but I was given the run around for months. It was very possibly the most stressful experience of my life, and Winkworth did nothing to mitigate it. I would honestly have been better off selling through an online only agent - Winkworth added no value to the process, and arguably put the whole thing in jeopardy by failing to do due diligence.
