I've dealt with estate agents before, but this company was an absolute joke.<br><br>They were completely unwilling to do their jobs and made little to no effort to follow up with or chase the landlord for answers to basic questions. They seemed to have very limited information about the property and constantly told us to call the office, only for the office to have no additional information either.<br><br>The overall service was extremely unprofessional. One of the final frustrations was their refusal to release the keys without a face-to-face ID check, despite already having taken and verified our ID at the start of the process.<br><br>Whenever shortcomings in their service were raised, they hid behind the "new renters' rights" legislation, even when it was completely unrelated to the issue being discussed. It felt more like an excuse than a genuine explanation.<br><br>In summary, I found them lazy, unprofessional, and uncooperative. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

I lived in a rented a flat for 5 years with my family and since the beginning the agency collaboration was amazing! The whole letting experience with Chelton Brown was really smooth and clear since the beginning. We have been updated so thoroughly at each step, to make sure we have the house secured and we are now in a beautiful and cosy house we wanted. I’ve been working with Chelton Brown for a while now, mainly with Tori and her team, and they have been absolutely fantastic throughout. They’re professional, organised, friendly, and always a pleasure to deal with. The communication is excellent, and they consistently provide work opportunities and support. It’s refreshing to work with a company that values good relationships and professionalism so highly. I’d highly recommend Chelton Brown to anyone looking for a reliable and well-run block management company.

every time i’ve had dealings with chelton brown, the people have been absolutely lovely but the timing that this company (or perhaps just this office) works on is ridiculous. myself and my partner have attempted to get in contact to try and rent a property with them twice now, and have reached out to them within hours of the property being listed. both times i have had no response from them for days and after reaching out to them to follow up i’ve been told it’s either already let or they are not accepting anymore bookings to view the property. of course, i could understand this if i initially contacted them after a property had been on the market a while but for me to reach out within HOURS of the listing, receive nothing back from them and then be told “we’re sorry we’re not accepting anybody else at the moment” i find it quite frankly ridiculous. again the staff have all been perfectly pleasant when i have spoken to them but its incredibly disheartening to be on it as soon as a listing appears only to not have the opportunity to decide if we even want it or not, simply due to the office neglecting to respond. i understand they’re busy but it’s so frustrating to be rejected unreasonably.
