Far more than just a local estate agent in the Cotswolds area, Murrays punch way above their weight and run a first-class operation that matches buyers and sellers with remarkable precision. A buyer for our cottage was found pretty quickly from their list of quality clients, but the subsequent sale process was far from straightforward - listed buildings (as most are in Painswick) throw up all sorts of complications, such as missing consents & permissions that cut-price conveyancers pounce on with glee. James Murray and his colleagues displayed infinite patience, charm and diplomacy to keep the sale on track. Thanks to them the unncecessary legal obstacles were overcome and our sale went through for a good price in a weakening market.

Murrays are an excellent estate agent deeply rooted in the Painswick area and with real depth of knowledge and market awareness. They really put their clients first and look after them. We were very impressed with Lois Brown who handled our sale and was highly pro-active and responsive in managing the later stages of the sale when it became bogged down and protracted between solicitors.

Murray’s are hands down the only estate agent to use for Painswick and Stroud surrounding areas. Lois Brown was fantastic and James Murray has a longstanding, excellent expertise which yields results. Very grateful for their patience and perseverance. We’ve bought and sold through Murray’s who have been wonderful both sides. When we buy again I’m going straight to these experts.

It's taken me a good month to write this review - but we have been so busy enjoying our beautiful new home which we purchased through Murrays. They couldn't have been better estate agents for the purchase process. Clear, friendly and proactive communication at all times, and assisted with herding various solicitors (which unfortunately was incredibly painful). James, Chloe and team - thank you for making our dream home reality and being of great support throughout the process.

James Murray from the Painswick office spent much of the day with us viewing some excellent properties that they were marketing. James made us extremely relaxed and using his extensive property knowledge pointed out many details that we would have missed. I will definately be recommending Murrays to friends wishing to purchase in the Stroud valleys.

My sister and I instructed Murrays estate agents in Stroud to deal with the sale of my late mother’s house and were very pleased with their highly efficient service. Callum Jones dealt with matters and was always available to discuss matters. He and Richard Murray gave us good, clear considered advice at every point of the transaction and liaised with the buyers at key points to ensure matters went smoothly. They also have excellent local knowledge and produced a very impressive sale package. The whole team is highly professional, pleasant to deal with and my sister and I felt able to trust them to produce the right result. We would highly recommend them.

Bought with Murray’s a few months ago & couldn’t be happier with the experience. Raph took care of me through the whole process and was very supportive through some conveyancing complications.
Having dealt with a lot of local agents while viewing properties, Murray’s from first contact felt the most professional & attentive. I instantly felt in safe hands and was very happy they had the property I ended up going for ! Which is no surprise as they always represent the most gorgeous properties in the area.
Thanks Murray’s , would 100% recommend and will return when it comes to moving on without a doubt.
