Lovely experience with Shana. She was very informative and helpful, it made the search a pleasurable experience and she was able to answer lots of questions, no time restrictions and the process was easy and smooth. Better experience than many other agencies I’ve had viewings with recently. As well as making the viewing a good experienc, She actually also inspired me to also look into a career with estate agency as she was very people focused and positive.

We had a terrible experience renting through Oakwood Estates in Maidenhead. From start to finish, the service was poor and unhelpful (losing keys, bad handover, property given in a poor state). Ultimately -they do not do enough to ensure the landlord carries out necessary repairs, leaving us to deal with ongoing issues throughout our tenancy.
When we moved out after a year (after the landlord putting the rent up with no repairs once again) they attempted to claim all of our deposit back, with excessive and unjustified charges. It consistently felt like they were prioritising the landlord’s interests over ours as tenants.
We later learned the previous tenants had been evicted for non-payment, and it honestly felt like there was an attempt to recover costs through us instead. The property itself had broken flooring, which was ridiculous to the point it even hurt our children’s feet.
Thankfully, the independent adjudicator stepped in and ruled a fair outcome on the deposit, which says a lot.
We’ve been renting for 10 years, and this has been by far our worst experience. I would not recommend Oakwood Estates to anyone. Good luck to them after the Renters rights Act!
