I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Pinewoods Estate Agency as a first-time buyer.<br><br>We proceeded with a property after being told it had been fully rewired. This was a significant factor in increasing our offer, yet later our solicitors informed us that the rewire had not, in fact, been carried out. This was both frustrating and misleading.<br><br>Arranging a second viewing was unnecessarily difficult. The reasons for delaying it kept changing—first we were told the Memorandum of Sale had to be issued, then we were told we couldn't view the property again until surveys had been instructed. I am not the only reviewer to have experienced this. Despite my mortgage adviser specifically recommending that I wait before paying for searches, I felt pressured by Pinewoods to instruct them immediately, and my concerns were repeatedly dismissed.<br><br>When we finally viewed the property again, several serious issues came to light that had not been disclosed. These included potential boundary problems, and we also discovered from neighbours that the property had been used as an Airbnb. None of this information was shared with us by the estate agents.<br><br>When I explained how stressful this experience had been, my concerns were ignored. By that stage, it had been estimated that the property required more than £30,000 worth of work, yet I was simply told that no consideration of reducing the price would be considered.<br><br>Based on my experience, I would not recommend buying through Pinewoods Estate Agency. While I understand that estate agents act on behalf of the seller, buyers also deserve honesty, transparency, and fair treatment.
