We cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Smith & Friends Estate Agents (ingleby Barwick). From the very first interaction, they demonstrated professionalism at its absolute best. As first-time buyers who were completely new to the mortgage process, we honestly didn’t know where to begin but the team made everything so easy and stress-free for us.
Right from the property search, they took the time to truly understand what we were looking for and guided us every step of the way. They didn’t just show us homes; they went above and beyond by helping us connect with trusted solicitors and mortgage advisers, which made the entire journey feel seamless and well-supported.
What really stood out was their communication. We were kept in the loop throughout the entire process with regular updates, which gave us great peace of mind. It’s not easy buying a home in a new country, but Rachel and Andrea made us feel completely at ease. They were incredibly patient, answering all our questions (and we had many!), and never once made us feel like a burden.
We truly appreciated their support during the negotiation stage they helped us agree on a price that worked for us, and we couldn’t be happier with both the house and the lovely area we now call home.

I used this company 3 years ago and I wasn’t sure as that last valuer didn’t seem that interested and I was pleasantly surprised how much detail Mark went into. Thoroughly recommend, marketed it well and now sale agreed. I look forward to completing and moving into my new home with another one of your offices.

Blocked my driveway , politely asked to move but ignored me to go inside a clients house for hours , couldn't get my car on the drive and there is no where else to park.

10/10 from Abby at Smith & Friends in Darlington she was amazing throughout the sale of our house. She made the whole process so much more stress-free and smooth. Any problems we had were sorted within the hour, and she kept us updated regularly. You can really see how passionate she is about her job — she truly goes above and beyond.
