It took a total of 11 months to sell and complete — four months just to secure a buyer, and then another seven months to reach completion.<br>We gave Starkey & Brown full access to the property, including keys, so they could carry out viewings whenever suited them. We also told them clearly when we would be away, yet they still contacted us during those times about things we couldn’t action, which felt unnecessary and poorly coordinated.<br>The first six weeks after finding a buyer saw no progress at all from the buyers’ solicitor, and Starkey & Brown did not appear to be following up or pushing anything forward. Despite receiving weekly updates, we were repeatedly told there was “no new information”. In reality, we were getting more accurate and up?to?date information from others in the chain than from Anita.<br>The chain would likely have been delayed by another seven weeks if I hadn’t made it clear that the situation was unacceptable.<br>Based on this experience, I wouldn’t use Starkey & Brown again.
