16th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)Worst company imaginable. Gave us misinformation for over six months regarding entry dates and also told us development was finished when it was not. Double check everything you are told by them. They misled us and we ended up over £18000 out of pocket. Avoid this company at all cost. They don’t admit liability for anything they do.
10th Oct 2019 (6 years ago)I've recently made my will and power of attorney, I've now lost count of how many times I've had to go in to the (Haddington) office as they keep on getting names and addresses wrong. Told them numerous times but clearly not paying attention to detail.

She proceeded to talk to me in a very condescending and rude manner. I felt belittled and actually a bit upset, even when I was trying to help and understand her. Not the type of interaction I expect from a professional solicitors.

4th Jun 2026 (12 weeks ago)We had cause to use a Notary of Public for a Power of Attorney, and telephoned Paris Steele at Dunbar. The lady on the telephone was lovely and set up an appointment promptly for the following afternoon. We met with Fraser Symon, who had already pre prepared the form I had sent him. He went through it with us and signed & stamped all the relevant parts. We were in & out in no time. Perfect! Highly recommend.- 2nd Sep 2025 (11 mo. ago)I previously had dealings with Fraser Brooks during our property purchase, as they were representing the sellers. Although they were not acting on my behalf, I found the experience with them to be disappointing. Communication was often curt and, at times, came across as rude, which made an already stressful process much more difficult. From my perspective, the level of professionalism fell short of what I would expect from a firm of solicitors. While they may have fulfilled their role for their own clients, the manner in which they engaged with others involved in the transaction was poor and unhelpful. A prime example of this lack of professionalism is when I went to collect my keys. I had purposely gone after the lunch hour to avoid waiting about (the office is in city centre so parking is a nightmare) as I had been told multiple times lunch was 12-1. I was waiting outside the office for 25 minutes. Tried to phone them multiple times. No response. After 25 minutes at 13:25 the gentleman came strolling back in. No apologies for being late or keeping me waiting. When I queried about why he had been so late to return back to work he proceeded to become stand offish and rude. Based on my experience, I would not feel confident recommending this firm

My husband and I moved into a flat managed by Home Lettings and we were very impressed with the level of response when things needed fixing. The staff are always so kind and personable as well. I would definitely recommend Home Lettings to potential landlords or lessees!
20th Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)Excellent service with really proactive support from the team at Stewart Watt & Co. I would have no reservations at all recommending them. Fees were competitive comparatively but in any case the service more than justified them.
26th May 2026 (13 weeks ago)I am disappointed with my experience working with Ryden. Communication regarding invoices and payments has been very difficult, with repeated delays and the need for constant follow-ups to receive payment. This creates unnecessary stress and makes it hard to manage supplies and ongoing work professionally. I hope the company improves its payment processes and communication with contractors in the future.
