We engaged Crane & Co after seeing a property they had for sale and made an offer within 15 minutes of viewing. The property had been on the market for some time despite high demand.
Negotiations with Michael Cane were slow, and we were told this was due to the vendor. After four days, we agreed on a price and provided all requested financial information and a mortgage decision in principle. At this point, we understood the sale was progressing.
Shortly after, a cash offer was submitted and quickly withdrawn, but we were informed that a second viewing would take place for other potential buyers. This was surprising, as we had already committed quickly and provided detailed personal and financial information. Despite following all requests and meeting the vendor’s price, we were not given priority in the process. Within hours of the second viewing, the house was marked as Sold Subject to Contract (SSTC).
Our experience was frustrating and left us feeling that communication and transparency could have been much better. Buyers should be aware that even after committing and providing all requested information, the process may remain competitive, and there is no guarantee that an early offer will secure the property.
Based on this experience, we cannot recommend Crane & Co. While the staff were polite, the process felt unnecessarily slow and unpredictable, and buyers should approach with caution and be prepared for a highly competitive process.... Read more
