20th Jan 2026 (8 weeks ago)I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through Fulfords to not bother. I moved into a property in February 2025 that was not fit to be handed over to a new tenant. Numerous maintenance issues were outstanding, cleaning had not been done properly, and problems raised by the previous tenant had simply been ignored. From day one, I was forced to chase repairs that should have been completed before I moved in. Communication was consistently poor. Emails went unanswered for weeks, contractors either did not turn up or were never instructed properly, and at one point the agent was contacting the wrong tenant entirely about works. I spent an unreasonable amount of my own time following up, coordinating access, and repeatedly explaining the same issues to different people. Matters became so badly handled that I was forced to escalate a formal complaint to The Property Ombudsman. The complaint was upheld, and compensation was awarded for service failures and poor handling of the tenancy. Even after this, unresolved issues remained. When I eventually moved out, Fulfords attempted to deduct money from my deposit for minor cosmetic issues, despite the fact the property was handed to me in a far worse condition and despite their own service failures being formally recognised. Only after pushing back firmly did they agree to return my deposit in full. I literally moved out of the property with the same issues not fixed. I would imagine that the new tenant will have the same issues to deal with. Renting is stressful enough without having to fight your letting agent at every stage. This was by far the worst renting experience I have ever had, not because of the property itself, but because of the way it was managed. I would not rent through Fulfords again and I suggest you don't either. If I could rate them lower than 1 star I would. Avoid at all costs.
26th Feb 2026 (20 days ago)We recently used Davies & Davies to sell our house. It was a difficult sale over 18 months. However, Davies & Davies were excellent from start to finish , especially Isaac, who you always felt had your best interest in mind. Excellent experience and I will be using them again if I need to buy or sell again. It’s rare to find an estate agent with a personal touch, if that is what you need with your sale or purchase, look no further.

From advertising the property, to arranging the viewings or managing referencing and contracting processes - everything ran very smoothly. Special thanks to our property manager Max; who facilitated the process from the start. He’s professional, insightful and responsive - giving us peace of mind while abroad. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend CJ Hole.

They went out of their way to help and advise us and to get lots of people in to view our property - giving us guidance along the way on what would be helpful in the current market with the sale. Everyone in the office was kind, thoughtful and polite. You really feel like they have your back and want the best for you. They are also very knowledgeable and I trusted they knew what they were doing. We unfortunately lost our first buyer, because of their own circumstances and CJ Hole made sure we had advice about price etc and got viewings through the door again. A lovely team who I would highly recommend.

Took all the stress out of my sale and can’t recommend them highly enough to anyone looking for a Local Business to help with their home sale.

Adelaide was the dream agent, responsive, friendly, professional, informed, supportive and with a sense of humour. My experience with Allan and Harris was excellent, attentive and personal. Konnor was sharp and quick on correspondence and getting information to us. He was kind and supportive of us and our relative and led us thoughtfully through the financial and identity checks. He was great to meet at the property too - well informed and found out other information that we had requested. It was an all round positive experience.

29th Nov 2025 (16 weeks ago)Really glad I sold my house through GR, from the start Nick was really approachable, friendly and so positive about the house it really made you think his team would ‘sell’ it for you, which they did! Great value for money as the percentage fee was more than competitive. The ladies in the office were always friendly and nothing was ever too much for them. The sales progression was a smooth process and I was kept up to date every step of the way. A great experience all round, thank you.

They were amazing from the get go, we viewed a house, fell in love, it was no issue to view a second time and we went back again to do some other checks after having our offered accepted. Honestly nothing was too much, Ellie, who we essentially have been in contact with over the purchase was so lovely. She kept in contact throughout the whole process and made sure we had everything we needed when asked. Justin and the rest of the team do a cracking job all round, we've used Wilkie may in the past to sell a property in Minehead, and Richard and the team there are equally as fantastic.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
