    We recently sold our house through Beasleys and couldn't be happier with the whole process from start to finish. We decided to approach Beasleys after deciding to part ways with a previous estate agent we used as it just dragged on. Jake came to our house to value and market our property, from the moment we met him we knew straight away this is the company we want to sell our house, honest, genuine, polite, spoke like a true professional, we knew he was someone we could trust, which is reassuring, he explained everything to us and gave us plenty of advice along the way. A special mention to Charlie aswell, who sold our house and got herself familiar with our property to answer any questions from prospective buyers, again, very impressed with her approach.     I am extremely disappointed with my experience.<br>I viewed a flat in Papworth through Connells on Friday 19th June and absolutely loved the property. Before the viewing, I had noticed that an identical listing through another agency, Leaders, had already been marked as “Let Agreed.” As the two listings appeared to be exactly the same flat, I raised this concern with the Connells agent during the viewing. He reassured me that the property was still available and suggested that the Leaders listing must have been for a different flat in the building.<br>Based on this information, we submitted an offer that same evening. The following day, Connells sent us paperwork to complete and sign, clearly identifying the property we had viewed. We were even told that we could potentially move in from 29th June. On Monday, when we called for an update, we were told that they were waiting to speak to the landlord and that we would soon be able to pay the deposit.<br>However, today (23rd June), after chasing for another update, we were finally informed that there had been a miscommunication between the agencies and that the flat had actually already been let through Leaders before we even attended the viewing.<br>This was incredibly frustrating. Not only was our time wasted, but our hopes were raised unnecessarily over several days. At multiple points, we were led to believe that the property was available and that our application was progressing, when in reality it had already been taken.<br>To make matters worse, the agency is still actively advertising the property, which only adds to the confusion and suggests that the listing has not been properly updated or managed.<br>Arranging viewings outside of standard working hours has also been extremely difficult. It’s ironic that those of us working full-time to meet the income requirements needed to rent these properties seem to have the hardest time accessing viewings in the first place.<br>Mistakes can happen, but better communication between agencies and more accurate information being given to prospective tenants would have prevented a very disappointing experience....     EDIT: Thank you for your response. However, attempting to attribute the issue to “timescales” or solicitors avoids the central concern raised in my review. For the full context: from the first viewing I made it clear to the agent, vendors and solicitors that my intention was to complete before the end of the year, and this was the only reason I accepted the asking price without negotiation despite the lease nearing 80 years. The property was marketed as “no chain”, and this timeframe was known and discussed for months in advance, on multiple occasions including second viewing in the end of November. No circumstances justify intimidating communication by your manager or suggesting that a client’s actions may negatively affect how they are viewed in “future transactions” — wording for which your agency already issued a formal apology. As I believe this conduct fell below expected professional standards, the matter has now been formally escalated to The Property Ombudsman (TPO). I hope this leads to improved communication standards and training. Unfortunately, my experience with this agency during a property purchase was highly disappointing. It started off well at the viewing - Aarden was highly professional, with good knowledge about the property. Unfortunately later on during the process the communication from the sales manager Josh — particularly during negotiations — crossed the line from professional guidance into unnecessary pressure and intimidation. At one stage, I was told that my actions could affect how the agency and vendors viewed me in “future transactions,” which I found completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Following a formal complaint, the agency acknowledged that the wording used could reasonably be interpreted as intimidating and issued an apology. I appreciate that the director responded professionally once the complaint was raised, but buyers should not have to escalate matters formally in order to be treated fairly and respectfully. I would strongly encourage future buyers to keep all communication in writing and approach negotiations cautiously.... Read more
