AJ Homes have been an amazing estate agents to work with throughout our journey as first time home buyers. From the house viewing with James who was professional and honest, to Liz who has been professional, kind and kept us up to date with any movement throughout the process. Both my partner and I have been so impressed. No question has been too stupid (there is so much unknown as first time buyers), they’ve treated us like humans, spoken to us in a way we will understand and have offered amazing advice that hasn’t been biased or pushy. We was ignored, when we finally got an answer after calling once again, 3 days after the viewing, we was informed the property had sold.

AJ Homes have been fine. We mostly spoke to James, Andrew and Vicky from when the house was put on the market in early 2024 to Autumn 2024 (the whole process took ~11 months).
We liaised with AJ homes did the brochure and the Right move blurb which they copied straight from the previous listing (We provided the photos; floor plans and we had an EPC available already.). We had to correct it with changes we had made to the house and the grammar/spelling/formatting despite having briefed them on these. We had a number of viewings which they arranged and undertook. One viewer turned up even when we were informed, they had cancelled and they failed to tell us about two or three that had cancelled in advance (we had got the house cleaned in readiness for these and got the toddlers out of the house in readiness). They informed us when the chain had completed and did some weekly chasing however, we felt that they weren’t proactive enough and weren’t fully briefing us with all the details so we contacted everyone in the chain ourselves and chased ourselves. They were able to talk to some of the solicitors we weren’t which was helpful but most of the time it felt like we were updating them on the status. N.b. they have a policy of not saying when your main point of contact is going on leave for weeks at a time. The chain was connected in June and we didn’t move in until end of November.

Awful service, put in an application for a 3 bedroom rental property, ramg to tell us landlord wants to video chat first to which we agreed, then never heard back from them! I mean it wouldn't have cost thwm anything to just inform us that oir application wasn't successful, instead kept us on the hook for over 5 weeks and the property was still available, till we coincidentally found out that theet has been agreed on the property

They are unsurpassed for their knowledge of estate agency and know the Bristol area so very well, with an established network of connections with professionals, sellers and buyers. An absolute joy to work with, they always operate with complete integrity and discretion, respecting the privacy of both buyer and seller. Furthermore, you never hear them disparaging their competition which others did and for me demonstrated that when you have to do that, you must know you’ve already lost the game. I highly recommend AJ Homes, having met with half a dozen estate agents locally, finding only one or two who even came close to offering the same exceptional future positive service.

Underwhelming. I sincerely lack any confidence with the truth and credibility in anything that this outfit tell me. I have dealt with many Estate Agents and found them to be reasonable and reassuring but unfortunately Horse Dealers, Used Car Salesmen and End of the Pier Medicine Men beat these guys by a Country Mile. What doesn't help is the 5* Reviews from their own staff, It's not a good look is it?

I am disappointed to say they did not change an important detail across my documents more than a year after I requested it, causing me serious issues and avoidable stress.
Once this was established, I was told there was nothing they could do - only to find out from an authoritative agency this was well within their remit and could have been changed at any time!
Upon calling them and enquiring about this, they spoke over me and cut the phone. Management has also neglected to answer my email enquiry into the issue. I am shocked at the way my personal data was handled and would encourage others to stay far away!

Staff are rude and unhelpful. Should you have any learning difficulties or an enquiry to make, they will not have the patience to help you.
Staff will speak over you on calls and wherever possible, point you in another direction to avoid supporting you directly. Staff will answer the phone with irritation and will cut the phone if you take too long with your query. Management will do nothing about this. Avoid at all costs.

I recently bought a property marketed by AJ Homes. At a time when I had to move out of my previous property which had already been sold and the purchase process seemed to have ground to a halt it was James of AJ Homes who acted as a contact between all the parties to speed up and finalise the sale. I would most definitely recommend them and would use them if I were to sell in the future.

Absolutely disgrace of a an Estate Agent and their reputation is well know for this.
I spoke to other Estate agents whilst looking for a property after instructing AJ homes to sell my family home. AJ homes are a great estate agent if you want to do all the chasing and work yourself but pay for the privilege of having them put a sign outside your house! The whole process which was (no chain, pre-approved buyers and all things in place allegedly upon offer) took almost 7months! I was told at one point the house was exchanging and completing give me 5days to rehome myself and my children this then never happened thankfully but I was strung along for a further 2months after that date. The discount that was verbally offered to come off the invoice to say sorry never happened they still took full fees! I STRONGLY ADVISE NOONE USES THIS COMPANY!

Andrew was always willing to do the extra mile to help any issues that arose with the property whether it was maintenance or late payments from tenant. I also sold the same property through AJ Homes and it was once again excellent service right from valuation to exchange of contracts and completion. I would definatly recommend aj homes. After recently losing my mum i needed to sell her home. From the initial meeting through to handing over the keys on completion they were excellent. Horrific, I'd NEVER recommend or use this agency only to avoid. Unprofessional, rude staff, lazy and broken promises. This is the kind of service you'll get from AJ homes. As much as you possibly can do no use! Hands down the worst estate agency I've ever worked with.
