Have bought and sold houses through Hunters for years. The business leaders Dave and Dave (easy to remember!) are both exceptional and know the local area so well! One particular incident stands to mind where they valued my home which was slightly under what I wanted for it and for a brief while I used another agent who had agreed to pitch the house at the higher value. 3 months later I couldn't even get a viewing so I went back to the guys who marketed the house at the recommended price. Subsequently 3 or 4 potential buyers ended up outbidding each other and I got a much higher price anyway! The back office staff are always very polite and friendly. Highly recommend and indeed have recommended to plenty of people myself. Great firm.

We moved to Hunters after the previous agency let us down providing only a handful of poor viewings and no offers in 5 months. As soon as we met David we were very impressed with his local knowledge and honesty. The communication from the outset was superb, we had viewings lined up within a week and a sale agreed. All the way through conveyancing we were kept updated and they kept the chain moving along swiftly, and the whole process could not have been smoother or easier. Also every member of staff I spoke to whenever I rang up were on the ball and all very helpful.
For years I always thought, everyone looks on Rightmove so the agent doesn't really matter, but actually I've realised when you deal with a big chain its just a branch manager working to targets, but when you deal with a small business / franchise you actually deal with the Director who genuinely cares about selling your house because its their business, and are in the branch everyday and that is what drives and sets the standards and service levels apart.

Dave was rude and blunt everytime we spoke to him. The email correspondent was blunt and rude. No one knew enough information on the property they are selling.i had to tell them the information.
When viewing the property the woman from hunters went to the house next door even with us standing in the front garden of the correct house.
Wouldn’t trust them spending my money. I wouldn't recommend to anyone buying a house or a home.

Recently bought and sold with Hunters and cannot recommend them enough!
The valuation appointment didn’t just involve valuing the house but Dave also gave us a lot of good, general advice about the moving process which was really useful. He also put zero pressure on us to choose them, unlike other local firms who had very aggressive sales tactics.
Communication throughout the process was great and all staff were very helpful and friendly.
Their advice throughout was spot on and by listening to it, we saved a lot of money on wasted surveys when the first house we offered on fell though.

I would highly recommend the team at Hunters Downend. From the initial valuation, they were professional, knowledgeable about the area and above all honest and transparent. This remained the case throughout the process despite us taking a long time to find a suitable onward purchase and then being setback by the coronavirus pandemic.
I was provided with regular feedback after each viewing and then throughout the sale process. David Vincent, David Bamforth and the team were always quick to respond to any queries I had. I would be more than happy to sell with Hunters again in the future.

I sold my house through Hunters Downend during the Covid-19 pandemic, which of course was a significant and unexpected hurdle in the selling process. I found Hunters very supportive and helpful from start to finish.
The initial valuation was carried out promptly, and the valuation process was honest and transparent. Throughout the viewings process etc I was provided with regular feedback, and then was regularly updated throughout the latter stages of the sale. Whenever I phoned up for sales progression updates, Sarah was helpful and efficient.
I'd absolutely sell through Hunters again, and it is clear they are leaders in the local area in terms of the rate at which they sell houses, as well as standards of customer service.

After months of disappointing activity from Purple Bricks, we decided to appoint Hunters and it was the best decision we could have made. David Bamforth and the team were proactive from the start, kept us fully updated on progress, secured loads of viewings and helped negotiate a great deal. I cannot recommend them highly enough and would never opt for a non-high street estate agent again. We have used Hunters a number of times over the years and I could not recommend them more highly. The team and in particular Dave Bamforth and Dave Vincent are professional, approachable, friendly, hard-working and really care about doing the best job they can for their clients. We recently sold our house, completing in September 2019 and Dave Bamforth worked tirelessly for us from the take-on, through the sale and importantly helping resolve issues, check progress and keep us updated on, what was, a long and tricky chain at times. They would always be my first choice estate agents.

I'm the kind of person who always reads reviews but almost never writes them - so the fact that I'm compelled to leave this feedback should speak volumes about the positive experience I had when buying my new home and selling my old one via Hunters Downend. A very friendly and professional outfit, most of my dealings were with Dave Bamforth who was excellent - as with these things, we encountered issues (not anyone's fault in particular), but the communication was always frequent and clear, with problems solved and plans put in place to ensure everyone was on the same page. Dave will probably say we made him work hard for his very reasonable fee; I'd say he looks better online than in real life ???? Will definitely be using Hunters again in the future.

After a horrific service from another Estate Agent I was recommended Besley Hill (Downend) now Hunters. I must say that David Vincent was especially excellent given my previous experience. David sensitively handled my new sale and purchase which (included a long chain). We are now settled in our new Welsh home and so grateful to the staff at the Downend Branch.
