Emailed to ask for a viewing of a house, was called by (apparently) the head office and told it would be booked in. We arranged our day around the viewing and got excited to view what looked like a really lovely house. I got a bad feeling the day we were meant to view it as I hadn't had any confirmation email and was told that I hadn't been booked in at all. I then asked to book it in for another evening and my details were taken this time. Again, arranged our day around the viewing, didn't receive a confirmation email. Rang again and was told that it hadn't been booked in, they didn't have my details on the database and the vendor had said they only wanted people that were ready to buy to view the house and because mine is going through the process of being put on the market, that I couldn't view it. Absolute joke. Wasted so much of our time. AND they had the balls to ask if we needed an estate agent to put our house on the market - as if I would go anywhere near them now. Will be avoiding any houses that are being sold by them now and in the future.

My partner and I, as first time buyers, buying a property which was vacant with no chain thought it would be relatively plain sailing, unfortunately we seemed to hit every hurdle possible but Lee was there every step of the way working tiresomely to get everything sorted. Nothing was too much for him, he answered every email, query, sorted every enquiry and he went above and beyond for us right to the end. I cant thank him enough and highly recommend him. Due to various factors the transaction didn't run smoothly but the team in the office gave us so much support. Can't recommend Allen & Harris Devizes strongly enough.
We agreed our sale/purchase in October 2020 and moved in February 2021. Like lots of people we were racing to get moved ahead of the end of the stamp duty holiday, with additional other pressures the get it done ASAP!
Lee and team were professional from start to finish. It wasn't an easy journey, but when problems did occur Lee was quick to use his experience and contacts to resolve them quickly.
James at the branch arranged our mortgage, taking away a lot of the stress and making sure there were no delays.
There were many days when it felt like we wouldn't move on time/at all, but Lee said "we'll do everything we can to get you moved on time" and was true to his word.

In stark contrast to our selling agent (outside the immediate area) Lee has been truly exceptional trying to help us with our search for a property. I used Allen & Harris to both sell my family home and to downsize to a newer property. This was my first experience of the whole process, so I needed someone to hold my hand all of the way and found Lee and Matthew, in particular, to be both professional, but also warm and friendly. They took time to listen to my concerns and act on those concerns, often doing the work of the solicitors. My only criticism is their advice to use DC Law for conveyancing, who caused me much stress because of delays that could have been avoided and poor communication. My thanks to the whole Allen & Harris Team.

If I could give more stars I would! We found our dream home through Allen & Harris in Devizes. The team are professional and friendly and make you feel more than just a client. Matthew could not do enough for us when we had lengthy issues with our solicitor. He spent days helping us to ensure we would exchange and complete right after lockdown was eased. Relocating from London to Wiltshire was daunting but the well placed team have offered help to find the local shops and recruitment! Matt & Lee have definitely been more than "just" estate agents to us! You're stars!

This is my first ever google review. Its something i never can be bothered to take the time to do but in this case i think its needed to stop anyone else making the mistake of using this company.
If they had 0 stars i would definatly be using that.
To summarise i listed my 1 bedroom apartment in Devizes in November 2019, i was told quote 'we will easily sell this before xmas' the last 2 units we sold in 4 weeks.
That was the beginning of the end, over the xmas period the manager Tom either left or got fired from his job, no one bothered to tell me so i lost communication until 2020.
In the 4 + months my property was listed i had the promise many times of offers coming but there was always an excuse or something would happen to stop an offer coming in. The only time i had contact with the agent was when i called or emailed them, they never approach me, so it was basically a 4 month chasing game.
They listed the property without me checking it first, they appointed a new manager who again promises this, that and the other and again just ended with me chasing them the whole time.
In a nut shell there is a reason this company is ranked so poor online, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. Note to self, always check google reviews before making a decision this big.

So I feel that this is a fair review, my ex partner had the house valued by Allen & Harris on 24th January 2017 at a much higher value than we had expected. Photographs were taken, come spring no offers so I telephoned Allen & Harris to ask if new photographs could be taken as the garden photo was taken in January had a frosty look and with the season changing I thought that if they were wanting to sell our house then that wasn't too much to ask for. I was very rudely told that if we wanted new updated photographs then we would have to pay for a professional photographer! As if we hadn't already been charged enough for their services.
So finally in May we received an offer of £30,000 less than we had expected. Then the nightmare began, we continually had to chase and despite Kate promising to phone my self and my ex partner she seemed to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Calls were NEVER returned! To our amazement Kate turned out at the house we were selling on the day of completion to make sure all was okay. If you are wanting to sell your house and looking for a pro-active team then please do not use the Devizes office.
