We bought our house with Amelie's a few years ago and now we are letting it through them too. We've been impressed with their service! They are efficient, fair & personable.
With the house purchase they really helped to speed the buying process up by contacting various people such a solicitors.
Since letting they were brilliant at marketing the property and finding tenants that they genuinely thought would work. We were new to letting and Daniel took the time to explain the costs and process clearly. It feels like there's no hidden costs or agenda. They respond to emails promptly. I would really recommend them!

This time last year Amelie’s put my home up for sale on their website and right move. She instructed a professional photographer to take photos of my home and the results were outstanding. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. Jess and Corinne were a delight to deal with and dealt with all queries from me efficiently. She supported me through the whole process. My house sold in just over 8 weeks as it was the height of summer. I received under the asking price but I was very happy with the final sale price. I went with Truemans solicitor and because they were referred to me by Amelie’s. They are excellent and very competitively priced. On the day I said my final goodbye to my home, Jess turned up with a beautiful bag of goodies from bubbly to chocolate which was a lovely touch. I highly recommend Amelie’s for your next house sale.

Amelies were fantastic throughout the process of selling our house. At the initial visit, Jessica was very clear in explaining the process, giving realistic timelines, providing information on recent sales in the area, and recommending what price to market the house at. When we were ready to put the house on the market the process was swift and straightforward. Our house then sold very quickly (at asking price), and Jessica's expertise in showing potential buyers around the house and discussing it with them no doubt played a big part here. Throughout the rest of the process Jessica was always quick to respond to queries and very helpful in helping us navigate a few bumps on the road, including directly intervening when needed.
We used Amelies because we had bought our house through them and had a very positive experience then. So we've now had a great experience with them both buying and selling, and would very happily recommend them to others and use them again ourselves in the future.

My one bug bear about this agency is their inability to personalise their emails. They write “Hello” or “Good morning” etc but never ever address it to the person writing the email. I find it extremely impersonal which is surprising as they are a great agency with excellent reviews.

We have now worked with Amelies for two house sales and one purchase and they have been fantastic every time! We first met Jess when we were looking to buy and we viewed a couple of houses with her. We were really impressed as buyers with her professionalism, enthusiasm and knowledge of each of the houses, so we knew that when we were looking to sell our house that we wanted to list with Amelies! The whole team are friendly, professional, prompt and clear with their communications. The marketing of the houses we sold was done really well, the photos looked great and the listings are put together really quickly so that you are not waiting around. When selling we felt well supported and advised throughout, you can't expect that every viewer is going to fall in love with your home and Jess was honest about those that she felt were real potential buyers and those that were unlikely to follow up, so we always knew where we stood. The team did a great job of coordinating viewings so that there were always multiple viewings on a given day, which was helpful, and all viewers were followed up with in order to pursue any possible offers or to get feedback. We also happened to buy our next home through Amelies too, and the viewing/ offer/ purchase process was fair and straightforward. It was always a lovely experience viewing Amelies houses, whether with Jess or Dan, which was also reassuring for us as sellers as we knew our property was being presented with the same care and enthusiasm! I genuinely can't think of anything better that the Amelies team could have done, and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone renting, buying or selling a property in Oxfordshire.

In terms of the Tenants, they review and ensure that we have tenants who look after the properties, but also to make sure they are looked after, bringing to my attention any and all issues to be resolved - with solutions.

I rented my property in Oxford through two other estate agents before Amelies. Amelies are by far the best. They are simply outstanding. The fee structure is fair and transparent and the tenant referencing process is excellent; inspection reports are thoroughly carried out to time and all concerns from both myself and the tenants are dealt with promptly. The contractors are of high quality and reasonably priced. Every member of staff that I have dealt with has been honest, patient and responsible. I highly recommend Amelies to anyone with a property to rent in and around Oxford.

Jessica was simply brilliant - walking us through the transaction step by step. She priced the flat well (encouraging us to list it for more than we had initially thought to!) such that we got several sensible offers within days of listing the property, and then when both our and the buyer's solicitors were slow her advice and interventions helped to grease the wheels of the transaction to ensure timely exchange and completion. We had a terrible year renting a property of Amelies. We cleaned the house before moving out but still got picked up on it not being clean enough.
When we moved in, the kitchen was dirty. The back of the bedroom curtains we found to be covered in mould. The garden was promised to be cleared of rubble, but it never was. The repairs took ages to complete. Radiator values fell off a month after we moved in and had not been repaired when we left, 11 months later.
Approx 6 weeks before we left, the shower went faulty, an intermittent fault and at times would stop completely. Reported and reported, but never fixed.
Avoid. Do not rent from them. They protect the landlords and do not stand up for the tenants.
In response to Jessica.
The faulty shower was reported many times and you failed to get this fixed. It counts as 'disrepair' and as such it was a contractual requirement to fix.
You billed us for dirty curtains, but claim you did not know about the mouldy ones! Double standards.
We took the house on the basis the garden would be cleared. It was not. That is
misrepresentation.
You never fixed the faulty radiators for nearly a year.
As the agency you should have managed this far better and not just blame the landlord or that the previous tennants never said anything. We paid over 15k for the year.

We asked to see the property a number of times, and Jessica quickly and helpfully obliged us. She successfully found a buyer for our old house in just 3 weeks which has now enabled us to secure our dream home (a new build which was the last one available and would not have been possible if the sale of our old house had been slow). After a poor experience with another Oxford estate agent, we switched to Amelie's in December 2020 and couldn't be happier with the service. Daniel met us initially and has acted as a sole point of contact throughout; he is contactable and very quick to respond, keeps track of everything to do with the property personally and knows exactly what the situation is at all times. He has never taken more than a few hours at most to get back to us after an email, and always picks up the phone when we call!
Amelie's have helped us with improvement/remedial works to the property, finding a tenant, getting references and tenancy agreement sorted in record time, and Daniel personally been there every step of the way to iron out any issues. They employ an excellent handyman who gives extremely reasonable rates for small issues around the house, and have secured very fair quotes for the work that has needed external contractors.
Most importantly, they obviously have the same attitude as us - that happy, informed tenants are reliable tenants. They are definitely not here to try and wring as much money out of the process as possible - they want to give a fair deal and good service. We're delighted with our experience.

Jessica was inexperienced and cost us a lot of money and heartache. We had to pay 2 fees as she did not do her checks. She offered to pay half the fees to us on the phone and then lied to the Ombudsman saying she did not make us that offer. Cutting a very long story short, she had to pay us compensation for her inadequate knowledge and very very bad advise
If you want to entrust the biggest transaction with someone that advises you to " ignore the Ombudsman " , then, GOOD LUCK!!!

Where do I start! Jessica gave 110% from me first instructing her to sell my house.
Her professionalism, integrity and level of service far exceeded anything I have ever experienced when dealing with estate agents in the past. An example of this, was when there was a slight delay in completion and my house was empty, the alarm was going off at 9pm on a Saturday night and Jessica visited the property and dealt with it.

I could not fault my experience with Amelies. Jessica provided a great and personal service and was always available to come and view the house with me and spend as long as I needed there. She also helped out late one evening when something appeared to have gone wrong with my completion date. I would recommend Amelies to anyone selling or buying. I also loved the welcome pack, again a really nice personal touch :)

Jess at Amelies made one of the most stressful things in life, easy and stress free. A professional service that was impeccable and friendly. Jess is by the far the best Estate Agent that I have ever come across. Completely honest, friendly and trustworthy throughout every day that our house was on the market. I have already recommended her to friends and family. Her attitude is what the market needs and Amelies is such a fantastic service, it is great to have them on your side. Any problem or query was answered straight away and her guidance was there throughout. I smile every time I see an Amelies board knowing they are receiving the same service in which we experienced.

We were very happy with the service we received throughout the buying process, feeling that it was both professional and yet also personally engaged. Jessica was very good at chasing up all parties to the sale when relevant and getting things moving, even in the face of the last minute snafus and complications which crop up along the way.
We shall certainly look up Amelies if/when we come to sell our new property, and will be recommending them to friends and family looking to sell.

We were recommended Amelies Online through a colleague and now I am doing the same to friends I know who want to sell their house or who are having difficulties with other estate agents.
You certainly feel special when Jessica visits you to find out about the property and she takes such care in writing an accurate and eloquent description for the website, keeping in contact with you about viewings and finally making the sale and moving.
