I think it depends what partnership you have, I one I had the sales pitch was great but the communication throughout once I signed up with them was terrible, at one point t after I chased and chased for feedback after 1 week after a viewing they told me I had an offer, yes it was very low, but I was never told.

Avoid at all costs<br>If you're looking for a condescending, Rolex wearing, arrogant and snide Estate Agent, pick Avocado.<br><br>If you want your home improvements choices to be ridiculed and belittled, pick Avocado.<br><br>If you want an Estate Agent to turn up at your property with zero collateral, having done no research to patronise you and undervalue your property, pick Avocado.<br><br>If you want a serious valuation, pick anyone else but Avocado.<br><br>Matt should not be in the job, he knows nothing about properties and is quite obviously only in it for the money.<br><br>Shameful service and company

We recently purchased a property from Avocado properties Ruislip, the process from their side was a pleasure to deal with.<br>They’re not a company I’d ever heard of before, and from his personal approach with the original house owner we assumed they were family friends (we later realised this wasn’t the case).<br><br>From the very beginning, James was incredibly helpful, professional, and kept us fully informed every step of the way. One thing we particularly appreciated was the WhatsApp group he set up, which made communication so easy. It was a refreshing change from being left on hold or having to navigate endless automated phone systems just to get an update.<br><br>All in all, Avocado properties Ruislip was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Perry sold my Parent’s house for me last year - he’s super knowledgeable, professional, efficient and very patient…<br><br>Also a generally a very nice, polite person to deal with, who I felt confident in his capabilities to sell the property.<br><br>He organised photography, floor plans straight away. He was always available when I called and very helpful.<br><br>Initially the house went on the market when mum moved into a care home, then sadly mum passed away.<br>The house had to come off the market whilst I organised probate. Once that came through months later the house went back on the market. Lots of viewings and sold fairly quickly.<br><br>Perry was sensitive and professionally throughout, no pressure on timings etc.<br><br>Very happy with the service he gave and would highly recommend.<br><br>Thanks Perry!

We tried selling our property with a well known local estate agent with absolutely no luck. Jan Lepp called and informed me she felt our property had been overpriced to win our business. Jan asked for the opportunity to try and sell our property and once out of contract we gave her the chance. Her approach, the prep before potential buyers arrived and her positive no nonsense attitude whilst showing our home was refreshing. Before Jan I didn’t think estate agents did much to sell the house, if someone likes the property they are going to offer. Jan worked the enquiries, highlighted our homes best features and followed up every enquiry without fail. She has a refreshing honesty and a real passion whilst trying to achieve the best price for your home. It took us 2 weeks to get going with the market details, but - yeah - our property was sold within 6 weeks (the area was not very favourable). The agent is very articulate and upbeat and most of all, I appreciate their auction Open day - like/ same time viewing strategy, alongside a "Beat the portals" initial moment, when buyers can access a property before if goes out onto the market. Very approachable and humane, compared to others. Confident, but not arrogant. I really appreciate that.

Her professionalism and knowledge of conveyancing are exemplary, and she was able to cut through barriers with her adept communication skills. I’m extremely disappointed with the dishonest and unprofessional conduct of this estate agent (Stuart Bock from Maidenhead). I was seriously interested in purchasing a property and was told by the agent that the seller had decided not to sell. However, I later found out that the property was in fact sold to someone else. This misleading information wasted my time and eroded my trust completely.<br><br>Transparency and honesty are the bare minimum in this industry, and unfortunately, this agent failed on both counts. I would not recommend their services to anyone looking for a reliable or trustworthy experience.

When looking for an agent to sell my wife's Mum's property following her passing, it was something we had not had to do for years, so we really didn't know where to look. At the first stage after getting valuations from some well known local names, we saw an Avacado board locally from Will and Mike.<br><br>We gave them a call, and after meeting Will there was only one agent in the running really. He showed a real empathy towards the situation as it was still very painful for my wife, and that was very important. Also after the valuation he left us alone to decide with no pressure, this was also really important.<br><br>When we agreed to use them, the marketing video they put together was great, the comms with Will were excellent and we got an offer for the asking price within a couple of weeks. Overall we are really pleased we found them and will certainly use again if we were selling.

We sold our cottage in Hungerford with Ben from Avocado and the service we received from start to finish was faultless. We had regular viewings and updates on market conditions and the communication we had throughout was always timely and clear. However it was when we accepted an offer that he really came into his own. We had a lengthy and complicated chain but Ben consistently kept us updated and provided excellent advice. The time surrounding exchange of contracts was extremely stressful but Ben went above and beyond to ensure that things went as smoothly as possible. Other estate agencies do the bare minimum but this was certainly not the case, even our buyer mentioned to us a couple of times how effective the service from Ben was. He took the time to gather information and present it to us so we could make the best decisions possible. Always professional and engaged, I was very glad to have Ben working on our behalf and would not hesitate to recommend Avocado to anyone.

We bought our house through Avocado, with Mike as the selling agent, and we are so happy with our experience with him. Since the start, Mike has been always approachable and able to answer any question we had; if he didn't have the answer, he'd make sure to find out from our seller ASAP.<br><br>Toward the end of the process, things got quite stressful throughout the chain with our buyer and their solicitor, but I found it to be myself and Mike who tried to keep steering it forward. I honestly couldn't have done it without him and the advice he was providing me on what to update solicitors with, etc...<br><br>On completion day itself (again, another stressful day), Mike was on hand every hour to check in and update us where possible. Unfortunately, there were problems with our solicitors following the completion of our sale, and we were actually homeless for a while, but Mike stood with us all afternoon and did everything he could to ensure we were comfortable and kept up-to-date.<br><br>The whole house-moving process can be very stressful, but knowing our purchase was through Mike made it feel just that bit less with him being so transparent.<br><br>I would 100% recommend him, and if we move again, I would like to work with him on our sale.<br><br>Thank you,

I've been dealing with Avocado Property, specifically with a lady named Lauren for properties in and around Reading, and it's been an incredibly frustrating experience. Lauren has been extremely slow to respond to inquiries, often not answering calls or emails. When she does eventually reply, she tends to blame her lack of responsiveness on the promotional activities she’s handling for the business.<br><br>While I understand that promotional activities are necessary, it's unacceptable to neglect customer service to this extent. As a paying customer, I expect timely and professional communication, which has been severely lacking.<br><br>Unfortunately, due to this poor level of service, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. This entire process has been disappointing and frustrating, to say the least. If customer service is important to you, I would strongly suggest considering other options.

Georgina hands down is the best Estate Agent I have had the pleasure of working with. I recently completed a house purchase via Avocado Property and got lucky with Georgina. She is a professional, extremely knowledgable about the market and goes above and beyond. Throughout the process I had multiple questions and she was always responsive, sometimes outside of working hours and found a resolution promptly. I had multiple viewings at the property and Georgina facilitated every single one without any hesitation. It was evident to see that she was trusted the same way by the seller and that's a great sign for any buyer. We used Dan and Neil from Avacado - we dealt with Neil. He actually came to value our house about 12-18 months before we decided to sell the house. We'd seen a lot of their content on Social Media before and we'd also seen lots of our neighbours selling via them. They were not the cheapest, however we made the decision that we wanted the best service etc. Neil was great in terms of communication, and importantly he was able to deliver on what he said would happen. Our sale was not easy - with the chain breaking down at the last minute - but at no point did Neil suggest reducing the price and was able to get people in to view again - he managed our expectations well and was also able to offer some advice when we were negotiating on the house we wanted to buy.<br>Have recommended them to other neighbors and really pleased with the overall package / service end to end.<br><br>Thanks A+A

I met Ricky in Feb 2023, when I was still considering my options. Ricky is a lovely guy, he listened and helped me understand the process. He visited me in the evening, meaning I did not need to take time off work and communication via WhatsApp suited my needs (I have hearing impairment)....until he started using voice notes!<br><br>The property listing was different to others in that he did a video walk through and drone view. But it still missed one of the bedrooms and initially didn't include the solar panels....surely a major selling point as that's what is different from all the other similar properties!<br><br>Viewings worked well, Ricky managed these and there was plenty of time for me to plan to be out of the way. Ricky did seem to be always overly optimistic, perhaps not quite in the same reality, although housing market is an ever changing picture.<br><br>I got a buyer in May, they then pulled out a couple of weeks later, with reasoning that never felt right (not sure if that was them or Ricky relating it). Having already put an offer on my buying property (which Ricky helped brilliantly with the negotiations/ offers) I was restricted to selling price when my home went back on the market. I felt that Ricky did not listen to me, or acknowledge the circumstances I was in. Again he was overly optimistic. Wanting to lower the price when I would have been in negative numbers due to the offer on my buying property. I looked around for a new estate agent (in June), but despite being in contract since Feb I was not free to exit. I had served notice but before this time was up Ricky did find me a buyer.<br><br>When the seller of my property pulled out, Ricky was very helpful in making contact with estate agents, providing additional detail to the property listings and eventually securing a better price for me on my chosen property, which is much appreciated.<br><br>Everything worked out in the end, but my overwhelming memories are not all good, I still think Ricky is a nice guy but his optimism a bit off the scale.

I sold my house in central Reading with Matt Barrell earlier in the year. The process actually all started November 2022 when Matt came to evaluate the property and create a video of which I was so impressed with the final product! Many of my friends and family commented on how brilliant it was and Matt really made it so my property stood out when on the market. After an initial rapid sale we were held up with the property I was buying and what should have been a small chain and relatively quick process turned out to take over 6 months. Matt was amazing throughout the whole process and continuously made the situation less stressful. He was dedicated to the process from start to finish, liaising on both sides of the chain, keeping me informed and explaining everything in simple terms. He really took the stress out of it all with his knowledge, expertise and friendly and professional manner. Avocado Property agents are not like your usual high street property agents. They are always reachable and available to help you. The speed at which there were able to put our house on the market and then generate viewings and offers was absolutely incredible. Within three days they were able to photograph our house, including stunning drone shots, create the listing, arrange viewings and get respectable offers and we had an acceptable offer on the fourth day. Steve and Chris have been absolutely superstars. They were always there for us to answer our every questions, and believe me we had a lot especially as we were first time sellers and they were always patient and friendly. We had some unique complications with our purchase and even our sale, when our buyer decided to pull out at advanced stages but Steve was able to work his magic to repair the chain and get us another buyer with a acceptable offer in a couple of hours and all while remaining calm and assuring. They made sure the entire process from listing to completion was smooth and helped us all along the way. We would highly recommend Avocado Property Agents and will not hesitate to use their excellent service again if we ever decide to move again, which we hope not to, for a very long long time if ever!!

We recently sold a property from probate with the very knowledgeable team at Avocado Property. The property was put on the market on the Wednesday, viewings were held on Saturday and the sale was agreed by the following Wednesday. The sale price achieved was significantly above the asking price. The team worked well, both with our solicitor and the purchaser. Just completed on the sale of our property with Will at Avocado. With the turbulence in the market it was quite an extended journey due to the chain below us but Will not only handled our sale with calm professionalism but he actively investigated the status of the rest of the chain (basically doing the other agents' jobs) so we had the best possible picture of what was going on. He was always available and always passing on information (good and not so good) which is not what you often hear about this industry. Before we even got to that stage the quality of the property marketing with Avocado really stood out, particularly the videos they create which felt near broadcast TV quality. If you want a true partner that puts in the hard yards to get your sale over the line then I recommend these guys without reservation.

I would absolutely recommend Ellen and Sanjay from Avocado. Professional, intelligent, knowledgable, lovely, lovely people. My house had been with another agent and I was so stressed about it. Avocado sold it in days with a quick, well managed and intuitive sales plan. No drawn out viewings spread over weeks/months. One morning and one evening of viewings and job done.
I love their unique advertising as well.
Now they are communicative and seem to never sleep! Always on hand for any questions. AMAZING! Should have gone with them in the first place. Lesson learned. ????

I cannot recommend Avocado enough - the communication is incredible, they really care about your property sale, they got me sold at a better price than other agents were suggesting, in a really short timescale. They continued to be amazing throughout the sales process - firefighting issues and chasing everyone in the chain to remove as many hurdles as they could, they are brilliant.

Dan from Avocado Property did a superb job. I am very wary of Estate Agents, but his no-nonsense approach and his honesty made me immediately trust him. The fact that he dealt with the complete process from first taking picture, marketing, viewings to after sale made the process so much easier and pleasant. Communication was perfect and he would give me good advice. My property was 3 week max on the market and sold to asking price. Would not choose any other agent ever again.
