I had 100% positive experience with Sukie at the Bearstoweves at the Acocks green branch. What can I say he was very knowledgeable he explained everything to me from start to finish. Sukie sorted my company mortgage out just like saying not to worry all will be done which he did not disappoint very impressed. If anyone is looking for new/ remortgage I will suggest go to Sukie he will sort it out.

Can't fault them. Main dealings were with Jess & Sukie the mortgage broker, Although I was the purchaser not the vendor Jess couldn't do enough for me. Always on hand whether I called in the office or contacted by phone or email. Communication was brilliant. Sorted many issues out for me throughout the whole house purchase. both of them were helpful and friendly.

Hi, I usually don't write reviews but in this instance I would like to share my experience we had with Sukie as our conveyancer, from countrywide mortgage. Our initial conversation with Sukie regarding the mortgage process was very pleasant and he takled every aspect of the process and nity grity. We left his office with confidence, knowing we were in safe hands. Throughout the whole process Sukie kept us updated with mortgage rates, to make sure we get the best possible rates. When we needed to contact Sukie he was always available, on odd occasions we may not get through to him but he would always contact us back with an update or info we needed. We went for life time registration, which proves to be the right decision as we are very satisfied with the service we are getting. We would recommend Sukie as conveyancer to our friends and family any time of the year.

I received a call back from an estate agent after enquiring about a property. I thanked her and explained my situation, including my budget and that I’m a cash buyer looking to purchase outright.
Unfortunately, the call wasn’t helpful—I wasn’t given any property suggestions, next steps, or meaningful engagement. When I asked if I could be added to a mailing list for properties that fit my criteria (something I know estate agents regularly do), she said they don’t do that due to GDPR. Her tone came across as dismissive, and the conversation left a poor impression, especially considering I’m a serious buyer.
I’ve had positive experiences with this agency in the past, which is why I have rated 3 stars.

They must have had a buyer already in mind. Promises made and never kept. Said we can cancel at any time. When canceled I received a shocking phone call from the Branch Manager shouting at me.

From the word GO!! Bairstow Eves have been exemplary in every way! Kelly was our first point of call, put us totally at ease and gained our trust in selling without any doubts!
Morgan then handled viewings and negotiations and was absolutely outstanding and never minded how many times we rang with 'silly' or important questions and was able to complete our sale seamlessly along with Amelia and the other wonderful ladies in the team!

Sukie at Countrywide mortgage is exemplar of what a mortgage advisor should do. I really appreciate his support, advice and guidance through what seemed like an efficiently processed application. He listened to my requirements and found me the best mortgage product. I have dealt with many different brokers in the past and sometimes they prioritise what % commission they’ll be earning over your needs. However I am confident that this is not the case with Sukie - many thanks and hope to work together again soon! Also - Morgan has been a great agent and has been super efficient with the process so far. Highly recommend them!

Once the manager knew i was going to give asking price as I told her before viewing she increased the asking price by £10,000 as soon as she got off the phone, this is not ethical business practice, they think the buyers are stupid in pursuit of squeezing out money for the sellers. In this instance they did this to someone who wouldn't now even consider the property because of the management of the estate agents which is unethical. If it went through bidding against another interested buyer and price went up that is the nature of the sale, however for them to be so bold and take me for a fool is laughable and disappointing from a brand we see everywhere.
They think every buyer is fool and now you have lost a customer. So who is the fool now. When you make money for your firm ethically its a win win for everyone involved but doing it in a dodgy way just ruins the reputation of the brand i nor none of my friends will use this firm in future.

Arranged a viewing with someone from this branch but it was really difficult to book something in - weren't flexible like other estate agents have been or willing to provide any type of solution. Furthermore, when i needed to re-arrange, the lady on the phone sighed and had an attitude! Poor service, won't be searching for a home with them.

Their are countless of mortgage consultants out there who help people obtain mortgages to buy properties/homes, but not many who have true knowledge and skills on how to meet each individuals needs. I rang about a property these people had listed on Saturday at 10.30am Nobody answered voicemail message saying leave a message we will call you back . Despite publishing being open 9-4 . I did not receive a call back . I rang again on Monday at 9.45 am as I still hadn't had a call back . The lady who answered the phone told me they had been in a meeting and would take the messages in alphabetical order . Wow that must have been a long meeting if it went on from sat am till Monday am. I received a call back an hr later.
Firstly can I just say I have never ever been called "darling " or "love" by an estate agent in my life . The lady on the phone was very very loud and very very condescending. I was told there are viewings today . Would I like to go ? Maybe if I'd been told this on Saturday I could have arranged something but I was abroad for a few more days . "Oh OK enjoy your holidays " I was told .
For your information lady some people go abroad on business not Benidorm where we might expect to find someone of your ilk.
I really hope the vendor of the house sees this . He missed out on a very serious no chain buyer through his unlucky choice of this crowd as his estate agents .

It all started as an idea, and then it became a thought, that has pushed me to go and see a few houses. When I first seen the house, it felt like home the moment i stepped trough the front door. The owner was absolutely lovely and she understood where I came from and what battles will lie ahead of me. 3 hours later, the one who has become a side kick in my journey of purchasing my first home, Sophie, rang me and told me that they have accepted my offer and that they were willing to wait for everything to be perfect. Since my journey started in July, until March, every day, every hour and every minute, Sophie has been there with advice and support for any questions that I had. It has been a scary journey doing this alone, but I felt safer because I knew that Sophie would be at the other end of the line or replying my emails with my silly questions.

If the option to leave more than 5 stars was possible I most certainly would have left more. From the first meeting with Jess the Branch Manager, we knew she was the person we wanted to act for us in the sale of our property. We had already had two other Estate Agents out before Jess, but there was no doubt in our mind who we were going to go with. Through out our whole experience, everything has been dealt with very professionally & efficiently. Whenever I have phoned with questions/queries, Jess and her team, (big shout out to Sophie who I have dealt with as much as Jess) have always been extremely pleasant, nothing has been to much trouble, and if I have phoned and had to leave a message, I have always had a call back the same day from either Jess or Sophie, in response to my message. Trust me, NEVER use their mortgage services. I have never endured such a painstaking process as having to sit in front of someone called 'major', one of their so called mortgage advisors. Basically it's a three hour pitch selling you insurance after insurance.
The mortgage deal I had found myself and went in with was far superior to what they had offered, three meetings later. They try to wear you down. The rate they offered couldve been disclosed within 5 minutes at the first meeting, not 3 meetings later. I am disgusted.

A number of people I know have had nothing but trouble from these estate agents. They came to a valuation on a friend's house, the next day my friends were told to drop there asking price by £5,000. Someone we knew went in to ask about the property, it had apparently sold within 24 hours of the valuation and wasn't even listed anywhere. They also rung up 6:45am telling my friends they had a viewing arranged for 4pm the same day, again the property hadn't even been listed yet. The same has happened again to someone else I know, they have sold a property before photos have been taken and listed. This is against the law and their code of practice! This has been reported. The staff are rude and inconsiderate, they don't care they are knowingly ripping sellers off when they sell the properties well under there value because they are being sold to landlords that rent through them. Be careful when they tell you they have an offer so soon. Especially if they haven't taken photos or/and put up a sign.
Edit: I am raising concerns of pervious clients of yours. I have attempted to make formal complaints in the past with a current client of yours. You have chosen to ignore to deal with the situation in an appropriate manner, instead you have chosen to bend the truth. I feel if you can chose to ignore formal complaints made to yourselves and to your main office then the next step is to raise my concerns here. Not everyone is comfortable making a complaint in their name.

I just don't get all these positive reviews? Or we were just unlucky? We decided to register with them as we were searching for property to buy. My husbang rang them numerous of time and they never had time to take his details and were saying they will get back to him. They never did. So last week we found property we wanted to see. This time I called them to arrange the viewing. Lady on the phone was "just alright" but that's not the main thing... we managed to get appointment in Birimngham last saturday at 12. They knew we are coming from London and our time is limited as we had different properties to see. So Saturday at 10.10 I received voicemail and txt saying that agent can't do it (not vendor or even a lie something came up) agent can't make it and withount speaking to us she rescheduled viewing from 12 to 11 without giving us even 1 hour time. So we couldn't make it as we had a busy day. And most funny thing at the end... yesterday I received another voicemail asking for feedback after the viewing????!!!!! How come they even don't know we didn't go to property? So dear Bairstow Eves Acocks Geeen we can't give a feedback due yours lack of professionalism, we couldn't see the property. We definitely won't be back to them ever again.

Don't even think about getting them to sell your house. We were given a list of "promises" such as block viewings, lots of notice for viewings, and always having an estate agent present. None of these were kept.
When you did manage to speak to someone, usually after the 5th or 6th attempt at calling, messages were not passed on. Communication was generally bad, and we weren't notified of viewings that weren't going ahead.
If these things weren't bad enough, one of the agents that showed people around the house was rude to potential buyers, calling their offers stupid and refusing to accept them (I found this out later), amongst other things. She also criticised the house as she went around. The final straw was when she lied to both of us and then tried to tell us that the other person was lying rather than her.
After we instructed them to take our property off the market they continued to advertise it, obviously trying to get commission and had to be asked to remove the listings. I had to ask for each website to be removed individually as they initially were only going to remove one and see if I noticed the others.
The stress that the whole thing has caused has been awful. Selling your house is stressful enough without this company adding to it.

Terrible service. Have been ringing for days now to arrange a viewing for a property. No one ever answers, always says pls leave your details l. I have done this on numerous occasions. Have also send emails and send messages online to arrange viewing. To date not a single person has bothered to call or email back. Just shows that they really aren’t interested in doing their job properly, i was interested in this property a lot, but because of Bairstow eves non communication I’ve now had to look elsewhere. Absolutley appalling customer service from a particular named Sophie. Called up regarding a house viewing and did say I am free but towards the end of next week. She called back saying she has tuesday available and was adamant that this was the only day availabe for the viewing, after saying no to this day a few times she then turned around and said 'okay we could do thursday?' So where has this day magically appreared from now? However she gave a time of 12:45pm. Now im sure many of us have certain times we cant make so all I said was 'I guess we'll have to leave it as I cant make that time' she then turned around and said 'You're wasting my time' in a very unsettling tone. She then started raising her voice towards me and I felt very intimidated. Is this how we should be treated as customers? Not happy with the service at all and I advise everyone to stay away from this branch.

My wife was deceived by this Bairstow Eves Acocks Green Branch for paying their fees etc. while selling the house 6 yrs ago. Nothing was done but non-stop troubles from viewings like no shows of customers or urging for access with customers carrying their children without prior appointment. Total nightmares, vy irresponsible services. They just care to scam money and ignore my wife's approval. My wife had to terminate their services and lost money of £240.
Months ago this year, about viewing the property marketed by this Estate Agent, same as what happened before, the sales agent lied about number of viewings etc, my wife finally withdrew from viewing the property. She said never contact this horrible agent, then can avoid to be scammed.
Do not trust any words from them. They r scanmers. Best protection is never use their service and no time wasted.
If I can rate no star, I definitely will.
My wife complained to their complaints department about the viewing arrangement. They just colluded together and accused my wife of not attending the appointment whilst as a matter of fact she was not given the appointment. Total waste of time. She intended to complain to the Ombudsman but dropped it because we would decide we would never do business with this company. No need to waste more time as they neve kept their words just carrying on scamming telling lies.
After this incident, we requested Baistow Eves not to send us flyers asking us to sell our property via them as we were very disturbed by all these scams etc etc. They still continued sending us flyers and also particularly came to our door to slip through the flyer even their complaint department staff confirmed in writing they would not send us flyers anymore as we complained.
My wife in the end informed their complaint dept in written of the further actions to report a case of harassment to police and also at the same time to get our lawyer to hold them responsible for the harassment and disturbance so caused, if they carried on sending us flyers requesting for us to sell the property through them whilst we had repetitively advised them we had and would not have businesses with them.
Horrible agent, my wife always said, never have any business connection no matter what.

Extremely professional, supportive estate agents
Our experience was very positive. On first meeting Sophie, she is friendly, puts you completely at ease and is very patient answering all of the questions we had. After meeting her we didn't even think about visiting another estate agent as knew she would support us. Jess came out to do the sale valuation and we were really impressed with the research that she brought along, her professional manner (and compliments on our house!) and, again, her patience in walking us through the whole process. Alyeena, who we spoke with on several occasions, was, again professional and supportive when we had questions regarding offers that were made.
We had an awful experience in trying to chase up certification on the house we were selling, only our estate agents helped us. Sophie was truly outstanding helping us obtain these. She left no stone unturned (I'm sure that she called everyone on the bairstow eves phone list!!!) Eventually, after a month (this is how tirelessly she worked) we finally got what we needed. There is no way this would have happened without her help. Thank you ladies, you helped us achieve our dream of living in the country.

I bought a buy to let property via Bairstow Eves, as an investor i have dealt with many agents in the area and found Bairstow Eves to be the most efficient and professional. Even though i understand they work for their seller, they didn't make me feel any less of a priority. They kept me up to date every step of the process to ensure the sale went through as quickly and as smoothly as possible. If i ever sell any of my properties they would be the agent of choice. Thank you to all of the ladies in the office for their hard work and dedication.

PLEASE AVOID: In summary; My offer has been accepted by their seller, we reached to exchange the contract then the seller refused to sign!! Wasted valuable time and money.
The worse thing that this estate agent keep putting back on sale, three times to my knowledge and now it’s currently advertised by this estate agent.
Their staff haven’t got any sense of any customer service and no understanding of any ethics nor morals.

Bairstow Eves sold my house. But they didn't JUST sell my house. When they valued it they had a really detailed understanding of the market in Hall Green and valued it at £20,000 higher than Purple Bricks. And when they did sell it. It sold for more than the asking price! The team are really fantastic. Quick to answer questions and queries and were invaluable in knitting all the loose ends together at the end. Highly recommended.

Would never use again.Paid a high fee for not a lot of service.Certainly not what i was promised on my valuation.Bad communicators,countless viewings that never showed up.No explanation.3 weeks of countless phonecalls to get my pics on Rightmove.3 weeks wasted.Granted,had help when i asked but soon as completion date came near, branch more or less fobbed me off to another office.And in that crucial stage you expect the people you have been dealing with to be there till the end.Not in my case,felt like they had their money and were not bothered.No email,no Welcome card when i moved.Had one and wine,from other estate agent.May seem petty to some but its the little touches that count.Would not use again or recommend.Thanks but no thanks.

As it was my first time renting out my property, the team at Bairstow Eves made the process as simple as possible, explaining every aspect and answering all of my questions. Initially, we were looking to sell in order to avoid ongoing hassle from tenants, but Bairstow Eves offered us a fully managed service where a designated property manager dealt with all of the issues and kept our tenants happy. 10 months on, we are pleased to have had lovely tenants who have been paying rent consistently and maintaining the property well, which we have witnessed through regular property inspections. I suspect, the success with our tenants has come from the initial referencing criteria that Bairstows use to ensure that they found us the right person from the very beginning. I am currently looking at two more Buy to Let properties and have no doubt that I will be using Bairstow Eves, as they know exactly what I am looking for and are helping me to develop a strong portfolio of rental properties. Cannot thank them enough!

We are midway through the sale process with Bairstow Eves and so far so good! Each member of the team has been approachable, welcoming and determined to help in every way possible. They arranged viewings before the sale details were even printed or the the house was listed on the internet and due to their hard and fast approach, the house sold very quickly for the amount we wanted to achieve. I would 100% recommend the agency on the basis of the service we have received to date.

The worst estate agent I have ever dealt with.
Never answer phone.
Never return calls.
These jokers gave me bad information (which I asked them 2 times to confirm was correct), which ended up costing me over £200 due to this error. No apology or acknowledgment of fault even.
The manageress is useless.
No customer service at all.
Sales driven rubbish with no attention to detail.
Avoid under all circumstances.
I am not someone who exaggerates, I believe in being fair when it comes to feedback

This review is about Bairstow Eves Estate Agents [house sales] in Acocks Green.
Based on our recent experiences, my wife and I would most strongly recommend this Estate Agent, and would use them again without hesitating.
Because we live abroad choosing an estate agent to manage the sale of our property in Acocks Green was more important than normal. We had to be sure of the agents professionalism and dedication to work for us at a distance.
I met with a number of agents and chose Bairstow Eves as the most professional of all those I met. They showed excellent local knowledge and impressed me, for example, by bringing to the meeting details of all recent and pending sales of similar properties so as to help me decide on a fair price.
Having no off road parking meant this was not an easy sale, but an 'open day' plus their extensive contacts list brought along several potential buyers.
Perhaps because we were abroad there was some delay between the two conveyancers plus a house clearance to organise, but the Executive Branch Manager was quick to react the problems were swiftly solved.

The worst experience i ever had, the people don’t have any skills how to deal with the customer and not interested at all in improving. They are just interested collecting money as consultation charge for doing nothing. I had to go through them to le a property and they acted smart until I sing the contract and paid the initial reservation fee, and then showed their true nature … utterly disappointed.

DO NOT let from this agent.
They are most unprofessional; they lie in order to take your money for services that they claim to provide, but DO NOT.
They will tell you anything in order to take your money.
The letting agents assured me of many things before letting my property; promising damaged flooring would be replaced, access to the property would be improved ("planning permission is in the final stages"), bath seals would be repaired. Among many others.
I had a major water pipe burst, saturating a major supporting wall; the letting agents (whom prior to letting the property to me assured me that the property was FULLY managed by themselves) heartlessly said that there was nothing they could do, they couldn't help me.
After my first year of letting from this agent I opted to leave; and find other accommodation. My landlady gave me a false, and negative reference (stating that I had deliberately damaged the property) stunting this move. Again, the letting agent said that they could not help; they did not care, thus forcing me to continue the let (with the landlady refusing to fix the damaged property, it was up to myself and my wife to find the money to patch up the damage).
Utterly appalled by the service provided by this agent.
I urge anyone NOT to let from this agent.
I hope these cheating manipulative animals sleep comfortably in their cold beds.
