STAY AWAY: 74 days of neglect, ongoing MOLD, and zero accountability.<br>Avoid Barnard Marcus Feltham. I was moved into a house with 10+ major faults, including rotting trash under the cabinets and a broken shower, while I had been assured that there were no ongoing issues. The manager actually told me that since they "missed" the rotting trash during the move-in clean, I have to clean it up myself!<br><br>The broken extractor fan was left for months, causing mold that is still ongoing and spreading today. Even now, they are trying to delay me by telling me to "use the portal" for a health hazard they've known about since December.<br><br>It took 74 days just to get a working shower. On top of that, they admitted in writing that they forgot to give me a parking permit for my own bay, but they are refusing to pay the resulting fine. They take your rent and leave your children living in a moldy, broken home. Completely unprofessional and heartless branch.

I can only give you one star; your team is playing the game with the viewer. They only sell the house, who looks after them? These words are widely used in the community. Like the old English phrase, if you screech on my back i will yours. This is what I heard from lots of people. This is what happened to me: I viewed about 10 properties. The reason people are saying you are not playing the right game is what is widely played.

I don't feel any trust on Barnard Marcus Estate Agents according to my experience to invite them for our property's valuation. SWANS Estate Agents advertised our property with asking price of £225,000. Then Alpha Residential Estate Agents advertised our property with offers over £195,000. They even found me a buyer with the offer of £185,000. But I refused the offer because our purchase price was £190,000 on 31-Mar-2021. ------------- But Barnard Marcus advised for asking price of £180,000. {I think that It's because another company called AMG Ltd (our mortgage lender's assets management company) was in contact with Barnard Marcus about our property. Barnard Marcus' agent knew about AMG Ltd that they worked for those who couldn't pay mortgage repayments.}
??? Other story can be that they are thinking we can't pay mortgage repayments and we have no choice to sell the property for what Barnard Marcus has given the valuation.

I cannot praise Evan Dyer, and his team, highly enough. As executor of my cousin's estate I contracted Barnard Marcus to handle the sale of his house. The property was on the market within days, there was a large number of viewings and several realistic offers were made very quickly.
Matters proved complicated, and prolonged, mainly because of difficulties in establishing the boundary between the land belonging to the house and a large unregistered area abutting the property.
Evan was always positive and quick to respond, he provided sound advice and facilitated the communication between all the parties involved. At one point he was in negotiation with three different solicitors as well as the prospective buyers and myself. Evan's input was highly effective and definitely went above and beyond what I could reasonably have expected. It was a pleasure to work with him.
Each time I contacted the office I found the staff to be friendly and courteous. I was made to feel they understood all the issues and were keen to offer their support.

Please save yourself the trouble and avoid using Barnard Marcus. This has been the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with an estate agent.
Back in 2022, I informed several agents—primarily James—that I would be going with another estate agent. The desperation during the valuation was a major red flag. I later told them I had sold the property at the beginning of 2024.
It is now June 2025, and I am still receiving calls from them. I’ve made it abundantly clear that I am not interested and have asked them to stop contacting me. At this point, it feels like harassment.
Absolutely awful service. Unprofessional, relentless, and totally disrespectful of boundaries.

We couldn’t be more happy to FINALLY deal with someone who is competent at their job and understood our needs and wants. Right from the very first initial phone call, through to viewing a property that was listed for sale, Alex and I were thoroughly impressed by the exemplary levels of customer service provided by your senior sales negotiator James Freeman. Throughout the whole process, James never once made us feel rushed. Buying a home can be a very stressful process, but James really took the time to really listen to what we were looking for in terms of a suitable property and the circumstances that have led us to even consider buying a property in the first place. James never once made us feel that we were just another number or statistic to add to his client books, as he had provided a very personalized level of service throughout. James was also easily contactable whenever I had a query regarding a property, as responses were always received on the same day. When it came to viewing the property, James was punctual (it was just so nice to have an agent ready and waiting for us to arrive at a property, rather than the other way around). My husband and I started the process of buying our first home together. We found a property that would have been perfect for our family, arranged a viewing and shortly after made an offer. At this point, we were told no other offers had been made. After chasing for several days, we were eventually told the first offer we made wasn’t accepted so we increased it by a considerable amount. Following that offer, we were told they’d update one of us within 48 hours. It’s been a month and we are yet to receive an update from any one …
Updated: a few weeks ago we decided to contact the estate agents for an update on the offer we made. We were advised by 3 members of staff on 3 different occasions that selling the property has been put on hold, as requested by the owners. We were promised that when it is up and running again we would receive a call. I have just driven past the property and there is a SOLD sign outside. Online it says the same. Our offer was clearly not passed on to the owners and we weren’t given a fair shot to increase our offer if needed.
I would never recommend this estate agents for buying or selling a property, all of them are extremely unprofessional and dishonest.

I appointed Barnard Marcus (Feltham Branch)to support the sale of my house, I expected the basic level of customer service this firm is famous for, however I was left extremely disappointed. I remain available for the regional/area manager to make contact with me to disclose some of the issues I encountered. I would not recommend this company if planning to use them to sell a house.
To date no one from Barnard Marcus has made contact with me….. dreadfully for their brand…..do not use!
Still no contact after 9 months from a regional manager to discuss the issues encountered….they’re clearly not keen on listening to customers’ feedback on their local branches’ (Feltham) performance.

She was late for my viewing with no apology and didn’t let me know , told me she could not show me any other properties as she needs to take her lunch break and was extremely negative throughout the whole viewing. WORST SERVICE EVER!! We viewed a flat in October 2021 and we expressed to Aaron (salesman) that we want to move into the property ASAP. Aaron confirmed the lease had just been extended so the vendor cannot move on the price. We trusted him so made the offer at a higher value. We spoke to Ragbir (mortgage advisor) who confirmed everything with the property was OK and he will get us the mortgage, which he did and pressurised us to pay him his fee.
We constantly chased them for an update on the lease and they kept confirming they're waiting for the paperwork. They did not once reach out to us to provide an update.
A week before OUR WEDDING, (bearing in mind they first told us we'll get the keys in January) Ragbir calls us to tell us the lease has not been extended, the bank won't offer us the same £££ or rate and we have to start the whole process again!
We went in and the team lied to our faces and said they advised us the lease was in question.....I mean why would we make an offer on a property with a short lease, knowing a bank won't give us a mortgage!!! Clearly Ragbir lied to Natwest to get the mortgage agreed so he can get his commission (which is non refundable).
We lost over £2,000 (paid for legal fees for the flat etc), no home, AND the most frustrating part no one from BM has even contacted to us to see if we are OK or found another property!!!
THEY ARE LIARS AND DON'T GIVE A S*** ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ONCE THERE IS A PROBLEM!

Nothing is too much work from him and his team, every query we had big or small was always responded to quickly and with as much detail as appropriate. Marina went above and beyond to help us.
We were first time buyers and we were not a straight forward case. However Marina managed to find us a mortgage for the best rates. She liased on our behalf and helped us with forms. Marina explained terminology and gave advice throughout the whole process. It was easy to keep in contact with Marina using emails.
We will definitely be using Marina's services in future when we come to remortgage.

Sam / Letting manager was very friendly, honest with his advise and came across as a very straight forward genuine person who was serious and eager to help me market the property to let. He gave genuine and honest advise . Within no time Bernard Marcus found me a decent professional tenant and is moving in tomorrow .

We had a very smooth process from offering our price to the move in date. It felt as though the guys had our best interest which is different to how you usually feel with estate agents! We were kept in the loop regularly and they were happy to answer me chasing them, thank you very much for your great service. The only slight hiccup was that when we were told our offer was accepted, it wasn't made too obvious that the conditions of our offer in this circumstance weren't accepted, only the price. We did have to work this out for ourselves. This was a minor hiccup however and other than that we couldn't have faulted BM!!

A quick review to express our appreciation of the support that Barnard Marcus provided to us recently.
We had a problem with a broken shower and Louise proved invaluable in helping to resolve the issue.
She liaised initially with ourselves and the tenants. However, the problem proved to be more challenging than was first anticipated.
Louise thoughtfully, and beyond the call of duty, contacted the manufacturers and made all the arrangements for a replacement shower unit to go in. She also managed to sort out some technical issues with the manufacturers, of which we had no idea how to resolve,

We originally chose to go with the company, due to our initial impressions, following our first meeting with Sam all those years ago. He was very professional and helpful, and gave us confidence and trust in Barnard Marcus.

As a seller i was very disappointed. I expected much better communication, often i had to chase up with 2 or 3 email before getting a response, It appears that they rely more on electronic communication and web hits then actually trying to find you buyers, it appears that they are waiting for buyers to come to them. Properties will not sell that way. Initially was told that an open house would be done, one was not done. Overall i was left disappointed with their representation and had to market my property with other agents.

Incompetent doesn't even begin to describe the agents at this office. Three times agents I was dealing with left the company or relocated without telling me, leaving me out of pocket and fighting to get money I am owed.
The staff turnover seems to be ridiculously high. Even now, four years after I dealt with them, I still get phone calls from different staff members looking for business despite having told them I have sold my property.
