Initially, Belvoir were fine to deal with, and for a long time our tenancy was managed adequately. Unfortunately, everything went downhill once Sheila became involved, and the experience deteriorated rapidly from that point onward.
Despite us living in the property for over three years, they forgot that we were moving out, blaming internal handover issues that were entirely Belvoir’s responsibility, not ours. This caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult move. When we tried to resolve this, Sheila was rude, hostile, and unprofessional on the phone.
Following our exit, it became clear that Belvoir were missing large amounts of essential tenancy data, including records of maintenance, inspections, and issues we had raised throughout our tenancy. Because these records no longer existed, legitimate issues were then questioned during the deposit process, purely due to their own poor record keeping.
This raised serious concerns that our personal data had also been mishandled or lost, likely due to inadequate handovers between the multiple agents we were passed between over the years. As a result, I submitted a Subject Access Request (SAR) to confirm what personal data Belvoir held about us.
Alarmingly, they did not understand what a Subject Access Request was or why it was required, which highlights a concerning lack of knowledge around basic data protection obligations. When the SAR was eventually provided, it was incomplete and confirmed that Belvoir have lost significant personal data, including copies of our passport, despite confirming that such documents should be retained for 7 years.
We were also informed that all inboxes of previous agents had been deleted, which explains the absence of tenancy records. Since then, my emails have been ignored, and I am still trying to obtain confirmation of when this data was deleted and under what lawful basis, as this does not appear to be GDPR compliant.
I strongly recommend that anyone who has rented with Belvoir for a significant period submits a Subject Access Request to ensure they have accurate tenancy records and that their personal data has not been lost or improperly deleted.
Belvoir’s service quality has clearly declined, and the handling of our tenancy and personal data has been unacceptable.

Absolutly rubbish. Booked a viewing twice and both times failed to send any info over. They called me on the day of the viewing 1 hour before the viewing was supposed to happen saying that they have to cancel it. When mentioned that I won’t be using them again and that the customer support was ridiculous they were rude and didn’t care one bit. Unbelievable. Would not recommended!

Promises made by Belvoir regarding the rental my property have consistently been broken. Truly terrible. Renting with Belvoir Aldershot was the worst rental period of my life. The house was totally unfit and in a dire state. Mold, damp, lack of legal insulation (reported to me by their own contractors).
They are rude and lie. It's very easy to rant online so I will keep it short and sweet, just avoid them. I had to report problems every single month of my 7 month stay, not a single problem was fixed in that time. They will blame anyone but themselves. They will throw their contractors under the bus or blame the landlord, anyone but then is at fault.
Once I terminated my contract they of course started claiming deductions to my deposit, hounding me and continually blaming me for previously existing problems. They only decided to back off and stop trying to deduct monies from our deposit when I mentioned going to the Ombudsman, the press and asked for the details of Belvior head office so I could report them. They paid up and left me alone pretty quickly after that.
If this branch genuinely isn't full of con-men then they are completely inept and totally in over their heads and needing new jobs.
Reading the other reviews posted about the staff are hilariously false and clearly written by the staff themselves or friends to bump up the branch rating.
If you have made the mistake of renting with them and are now only just reading the reviews realising what a mistake you have made, don't worry I did the same. If you are struggling to hear back from them however here's a pro tip, leave them a 1 star review on here and you will get a call very promptly afterwards asking you to take it down.

I left the property, but i forgot to cancel my direct debit which it charged every month £700 rent so they( Belvoir Aldershot) were able take the money. The most annoying thing is the overpaid rent was never refunded to me even though i emailed them and call them about it. They kept lying to me they will refund the over paid rent but never got refunded but they email me saying the landlord is not giving the money back saying he has to repair the flat after 5/6 month. The rent £700 was overpaid on december 2021, i left the flat on November 2021. Key was submitted on 13th december2021. Very very unhappy with the service. Still fighting for my own money now its september 2022.

Awful company, I let a property with the Basingstoke branch. They received fraudulent emails attempting to update my bank account details. They acted on these without contacting me to verify and sent the rent to the fraudulent account. When asked about this the director stated it was normal to update bank details without checking and 'what do you want us to do call everyone after an update? They then suggested that I had created the fraudulent account. Needless to say I'm cancelling my contract with them.

STUDENTS BEWARE!! moved in to a room that wasn't cleaned or painted like the rest of the rooms. Then when I moved out they took money from my deposit for cleaning the room! One shower was out of use intermittently for long periods of time so we had one shower room between 5 of us. No reply to emails. Couldn't wait to get free of these rip off artists! Avoid.

Honestly this was a horrible experience for me. The whole time I just felt ripped off.
After PAYING my first month's rent I got an email a week later saying that I haven’t paid and that they’ll be charging my guarantor if the bill doesn’t get paid.
First of all I was paying a large amount where Wi-Fi was supposed to be included and in 9 months time they never secured it. All they kept saying is that the landlord has already taken care of everything and that the Wi-Fi guy just keeps canceling. Really he keeps canceling for 9 months??
Second thing is the horrible communication. They rarely respond to my emails. Sometimes I have to email them 10+ times on three different emails just so I could get an answer after a week or sometimes they just never get back to you. They will email you when it is convenient for them. When it’s you who has a question or a complaint then I guess they just can’t be bothered. Because I had an issue that I was emailing them about, I had sent more than 7 emails and I had to written them for at least 6 days in a row and they just kept ignoring that but at the same time they had the nerve to email me and ask something from me while they decided to just ignore my questions.
Third thing is my security deposit. These people have no idea in what kind of state they rent their property because right now they want to charge me for things I haven’t even touched, for things that were there before. Because the room honestly was not in a good shape and now they’re blaming me for it. I don’t know if it’s because I’m an international student and they feel like they can just cash in on me or what but yeah the whole experience has been disappointing and horrible. And I would never ever recommend to this agency to anyone.

Belvoir have managed our rental property for many years and we had a very positive experience during this time. When we decided to sell, Belvoir seemed the obvious choice. The ladies at Belvoir were absolutely brilliant from start to finish, especially Elaine. What stood out for me was Elaine's open, honest, transparent style of communication. Of course, there were obstacles in our path to make the sale more challenging but Elaine was always available to talk it through and managed to resolve the issues quickly. Elaine is very approachable and professional and I will miss our weekly Friday update call! Thank you to everyone at Belvoir for making the sale of our flat as stress free as possible. First time buyer, estate agency experience was absolutely brilliant. Totally lucked-out when I found a property marketed by Belvoir! Before, During and After sales experience was wonderful. Extremely warm, friendly and incredibly helpful ladies of Belvoir. Provided invaluable experience in the purchase steps, liaising with solicitors on both sides and pushing when needed. They do so much leg work in the back ground where really they don't have to at all. Their attention to detail and hard work showed through, throughout the purchase process, they are always at the end of an email/ phone, always contactable. Moving day was hectic of course however they were happy to stay wayyyy beyond their hours to ensure I received the keys. Huge effort made to help ensure the property was extremely well cleaned and prepped throughout and again attention to detail when over seeing cleaning of property. Did I mention the moving hamper!!! containing very useful, well thought out essentials WONDERFUL PEOPLE!!! A++++++.

Elaine found us very promptly, just the property were looking for, with all her local and extensive knowledge she made the whole process easy with any problems sorted in an instant. As a landlady I have found Belvoir very professional, providing a service of a high standard, always helpful with an amazing attitude putting the client first. Raewyn in particular was great and they always went the extra mile. Calls were answered prompt and regular updates and feedback provided.
