Bought our house a few weeks ago through Matt Brown, who was excellent throughout the process, from putting a few houses together for us to view in one day at the start of our search, as we were new to the area, keeping us updated to properties just coming onto the market, dealing with the purchase (with difficult solicitors and other agents) to handing us the keys, he was very efficient throughout, dealing with other parties and keeping us updated and we wish everyone was as easy and pleasant to deal with as Matt.

Really disappointing. The first week of a house going on the market is when the estate agents are meant to get as many viewings booked in as possible, ringing around to gather interest, however we didn’t get a viewing for almost 3 weeks. After a month, we decided to pull our house sale from Briggs as we were receiving more communication from other estate agents than Briggs themselves. They gave up contacting us when we gave our notice and never bothered to update us on anything. Very disappointed.

Our circumstances were probably very different from the average home buyer, in that we were selling our house in Scotland and looking to buy in South Lincs/North Cambs. This brought a few problems into play, not least of which we had to travel 375 miles to view a collection of houses every time! Paula immediately grasped the complexity of this prospective move, and both Trev and I benefitted from her caring and supportive approach. We didn’t know we were stressed, but I think Paula did! Paula strikes exactly the right balance between professional and friendly. Her local knowledge is second to none, and we very quickly trusted her. On reflection, we saw many estate agents during our quest to find the property that was the right one for us, and Paula was undoubtedly the most genuine.
Although we ultimately bought a property from another estate agent, I know that Paula wouldn’t hesitate to give us any friendly advice should it be required, and we wouldn’t hesitate to ask her!

Sounds extreme but that is the best way to describe selling a property through Briggs. The first surprise is the level of personal involvement and attention you get from the affable owner Paul Briggs.
He knows the market, in fact he knows everyone relating to the local property market. Need a Conveyancer/Solicitor? he will give you multiple recommendations - unbiased. The same goes for other services such as removals.
The valuation was on point and the listing very professional. Expect to get instant updates all through the process of selling and if things are not going to plan, he will step and resolve.

I had a very bad experience with the agency as I have accepted to pay the requested price in a property, and I reviewed it twice, then they came back to me mentioning that the price didn't like the vendor as he wanted a higher. price. They tried to give me the impression that it was my mistake as I didn't confirm my offer which is obviously not true as the advertisement was so clear that it wasn't for offers but it was for a certain price. They tried to do many manipulation about the reason for what happened and the call ended up by their agent hanging up the phone while I was talking in a very unprofessional way. This whole story caused a lot of stress, frustration for the family and myself and disappointed the children so much after being happy to move to the new home.
I wouldn't really recommend dealing with them at all.

Please be aware the owners of Peakirk road currently on the market with Briggs (Sept 2019) let us down badly by pulling out only weeks before completion without any communication as to why. This happened to our family a year ago after a big relocation. We were told that this was not the first time the owners had pulled out after going quite far down the line.This was our experience and might not happen to you but it's worth knowing before you loose survey fees, mortgage fee etc Along with the heart ache it causes.
