stay far away!
This is the worst letting agency I’ve ever dealt with. Total scammers! When I left the property, they checked everything and confirmed there were no issues. I only stayed for 3 months, yet they stole my entire £1200 deposit for no reason! They took advantage because I moved out of Cornwall and couldn’t go back to confront them. Completely dishonest, unprofessional, and shameless people. Do NOT trust them with your money — they’ll rob you the first chance they get! Avoid at all costs!

We rented a house from Celtic for just under a year and overall found their service to be terrible, in particular their communication. The most significant issue was regarding a serious mould issue in the house, which got progressively worse over our tenancy and was raised multiple times by us. After we explained that we had already taken their advised remedial steps to no avail, they suggested we just move out. When we did not accept this absurd solution, they briefly humoured our request to install an extractor fan in the bathroom. What instead occurred was several different contractors being sent around for price estimates, and then a complete halt of all communication from them on this issue, never to be raised again despite their knowing that the problem was only getting worse. This trend was matched in all other basic tenancy matters, such as failure to inform us about a 3 week delay to our agreed move-in date until mere days before, and only in response to us reaching out having not heard anything. Furthermore, when we gave our 1-month notice upon moving out, we simply received no reply from them. All of this is to say that we would never use Celtic Estate Agents' services again if we can help it, and do not advise anyone from renters to landlords to work with them!
