She was always very informative with new properties that she thought might be right for us and every viewing we attended to Katie was always there waiting to greet us and ready to showcase the property to it’s full potential.
Once we found are property Katie was amazing in helping us with every step of the way.
She made the whole process very easy with constant support and communication between us chancellors head office and our new landlord.
We truly appreciate everything Katie done for us and can only describe her as totally amazing and wonderful in her role as a chancellors letting agent .

EDIT! Realised I had already reviewed this after the classic "please leave me a review". Anyway - Chancellors are not the best ???? Sam is great - he probably should be working somewhere better. The staff are clearly under-resourced. I think I ended up doing pretty much all the viewings for prospective new tennants when the estate agents didn't show up. They contract out their property management to Oxon Property Management - the set up of going through a centralised email system makes you want to tear your hair out and they were terrible to deal with. We got charged for very nonsensical things on departure that we successfully challenged - but Oxon/Chancellors really should have picked this up on our behalf.

We have had a very positive experience with Chancellors estate agents. We needed to relocate short notice following completion of our house sale and relocating to a new area for work. From initial enquiries with Sam Hinton, he was fantastic at recommending a property that met our requirements perfectly whilst also enabling our quick turnaround. Sam was exceptionally efficient and went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service which was personal and professional, and also dedicated which enabled our move to happen quickly. I had a very disappointing experience with Chancellors Henley-on-Thames, specifically with Katie Edmonds. My viewing appointment was rescheduled twice without proper notice, and my follow-up email was completely ignored. This lack of communication and disregard for clients’ time felt unprofessional and disrespectful. Based on this experience, I would not recommend their services.

I contacted Chancellors to let my property. I had an immediate response from Sam Hinton who came to view my place . I live overseas so for me time was the essence.
I was extremely impressed by Sams enthusiastic and warm personality and professionalism and extensive knowledge of the market. I had another agency for the last 9 years but I had no hesitation in switching to Chancellors due to the confidence I felt that they will be able to find me a suitable tenant.
Sam kept me informed if all viewings and offers and we got a tenant on the exact date I wanted . Excellent communication really was the key .
Thanks to Sam I have now got wonderful tenants , for the rent that was suggested would be achievable and the whole process has been incredibly efficient and smooth.

Now the property will be managed by them which gives me peace of mind living overseas. Highly recommend them.

I called to enquire about a property to let, apparently NOBODY from lettings was in the office ALL day, I called back the following day and was advised I would get a call back from the lettings team. I even sent an email and I have heard nothing.
Very very frustrating and seriously unprofessional.
Definitely won't be contacting chancellors again.

We rent our property from Chancellors. I would never recommend them to anyone. We have been waiting for them to fix our toilets for months now. They won’t contact me for progress unless I contact them. Renting from Chancellors has become an absolute nightmare. We have needed a few things fixed in our property but it takes weeks/months for someone to even come and have a look. Then another weeks/months for someone to come and fix it. I’d go elsewhere if you’re looking to rent. Very bad customer service.

Very unprofessional agency, they don't care about customer at all , as soon as they have what they want they are just roughly impossible to contact.
They just cancelled my contract two weeks before starting my new tenancy for lack of communication with the current tenant, causing to me a massive stress.

We trusted them and it was a mistake, they are nothing but a fraud.

A company with no integrity and no care for the health or life of the people they rent to. The only care is money. We moved into an unhabitable property due to chancellors who claim because they don't manage the property, have no fault In the world. The same property is up for rent again £200 more, with pictures from at least 15 years ago, no electricity on the entire upper floor. They should not be renting this place out in the condition it is in!! Be aware of them and DO NOT RENT from them! It may cost you your life as I was electrocuted enough times to now need to be on heart medication for the rest of my life. These are the conditions we lived in, was evicted from because of asking for the mold to be fixed, and then placed back on the market in these same conditions.

I put my house on the market with Chancellors after a flat in Henley ( being sold through Chancellors ) . Offers were accepted in Oct 21. To speed up process i used one of their recommended solicitors) . The flat was empty , I had cash and my buyer was in rented accommodation ( had mortgage offer)
I had no idea that once sales are agreed , you are passed on to the "sales progression team" , who were incompetent at best .
It took 6 months to complete. An awful experience from start to finish .,.......

After almost giving up on finding a good rental in Henley On Thames, my son and I finally found a lovely apartment in central Henley after almost giving up on finding a decent flat. Sam Hinton the estate agent found the flat and helped us throughout the whole process, which can be quite stressful and time consuming. He went over and above his call of duty! He was always available by telephone and email and answered questions which at times were quite challenging. All the staff at the Henley branch were friendly and professional. Whilst the sales side of this branch of Chancellors appears to have surprisingly positive reviews, I would warn anyone against letting a property through this agent.
I rented a flat in Henley for 5 years and it was a great place with a very amiable landlord, but Chancellors were completely incompetent in almost everything they did throughout my tenancy.
From repeatedly sending private correspondence (including sensitive information such as bank account details) to incorrect email addresses, to inexplicable £100+ annual administration fees, to providing incorrect contact/booking details to the end of tenancy cleaning company, to charging us double for the checkout fee and taking a month to realise, to myself, my flatmate and landlord having to have an exchange of nearly 40 emails to establish the allocation and release of the original deposit, they were hopeless.
Whilst this was all incredibly frustrating, there was also no admission of any errors from Chancellors' side and barely an apology forthcoming - they simply put everything down to 'system errors' or misunderstandings, completely absolving themselves of any responsibility. When any suggestion of a refund for their poor customer service was raised on our part, they dismissed it entirely.
Genuinely useless.

Chancellors Henley-on-Thames were excellent throughout the process of selling our property. They advertised widely with very good photos - also shown prominently in their window in Henley's main street. Our sale was managed by Robert Penford who advised us well throughout. It was his personal service that made the difference - being with prospective buyers on their visits and helping us with advice throughout. A particular strength of Robert's was the way he kept open a channel of communication: it was always easy to speak with him and he kept us continuously up to date with developments (even after hours!) - he worked really hard to make our sale happen - something we couldn't have done ourselves.

I've had some really bad experiences with estate agents, namely Charlotte Mellor who, after telling i wanted good, solid hassle free tenants, lied and inflated a potential tenants salary, oh and forgot to mention the CCJ. She inflated the tenants salary by 106k. From now on i only use Chancellors for my rental properties, Sam Hinton in the Henley office is honest, helpful and conscientious and a pleasure to deal with restoring my faith in Estate Agents.

Firstly, i wanted to mention that we met with six real estate agents/companies before making a decision on who we were going to use to sell the family home. The decision was infact fairly simple as Robert from Chancellors was, by far, the most professional and knowledgeable.
The actual transaction turned out not to be as straight forward as we had planned. Infact, it was a 'roller-coaster' of a ride. However, Robert did an incredible job of keeping us calm and providing timely updates every step of the way right through to the end..
Hats off also to Sam, John and Rebecca who were instrumental in following this transaction all the way through. Go Chancellors!!!.

I sold my Henley flat with Chancellors just before Christmas but because Sam Hinton there was so brilliant I wanted to make sure I wrote a review at some point while he still works there. All the team were great however he was particularly efficient, enormously pleasant, helpful and flexible. His professionalism was top notch, he always knew what was going on and kept me fully in the loop so I never had to chase him for information. Whilst selling the flat was at times stressful Sam was always calm, reassuring and refreshingly funny as well. I highly recommend them.
