Although my early encounters with City Move Estate and their staff were polite and pleasant, they ended up evicting me from my apartment without issuing the appropriate documents at the beginning of my tenancy. In addition, the hot showers in my apartment were unreliable for over a year despite multiple requests to get them fixed- when, after more than a year had passed, the shower was finally fixed up, the eviction notice came soon after. After the improper eviction they then charged me an extortionate cleaning fee. Would not recommend.

Great and very professional staff especially Mr Jay. Their communication is always excellent and always responding to needs as soon as they can. Finding a property to rent in London was extremely hard for me, but city moves helped so much and helped me to find a property to rent.
Highly recommend City Moves Bow Ltd, can’t go wrong with them. Always a 10/10 service.

I had an appointment with them through Spareroom.
Even though they set up the time and schedule, no one showed up at the property, no replies on the chat page and no answering a phone call.
On the next day, they just dropped a message : Hi,
I do apologies that your message wasn't replied too
We can book you in for a viewing today between 5pm - 6pm will this work for you?
They didn't explain details well and they just left me rude and disrespectful messages. At last they blocked ghe chat page and rejected further communication.

Very Poor Customer Service and Communication
The customer service and communication from this company are terrible. Whenever I needed something replaced, they never answered my calls. I was forced to send messages on WhatsApp, which they rarely, if ever, replied to.
Despite living in the same flat for over five years, they never visited to check or fix anything. If something broke, I had to purchase it myself. After all this, they had the audacity to charge me for cleaning and printing fees, deducting the amount from my deposit.
I strongly advise against using this company. Their lack of responsibility and poor communication make them completely unreliable. I would never recommend them to anyone.

I have a property next to a property managed by City Move and they are total lack of management is unbearable to me even as a neighbor.. A dead tree was the issue and they have ignored it even though i and the co-op repeated wrote to them about it. the tree then collapsed, damaging my out building. They no try to deny responsibiity and want me to address the owner even though this is their mismanagement. I would advise not to let them manage your property . They are generally negligent and passive aggressive.

TERRIBLE AGENT! I was with them for two years and they never made any repairs I requested. And they raised the rent on me by £150/m without telling the landlord and pocketed the difference! Lazy criminals, do not ever use them!

The most disgusting and unprofessional experience I’ve ever had! Terrible!! Rented a room out of a video as covid-19. The video and picture misrepresented the actual state/condition of the place! The flat full of mould and dump! Boiler not working! Room full of dust not even cleaned before renting it to a new tenant! How disgraceful. The agency worker don’t even know what they are talking about. I reported them to the private sector housing as the flat not conform to standards. I can even say more and more! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

Incompetent, overpriced and understaffed. Had a terrible experience with this agency. They use COVID as an excuse for not maintaining the property, but refuse to show the same amount of flexibility and understanding for tenants in need of reasonable communication because of COVID. If you want value for your money you should absolutely not rent accommodation through City Move. With this review I hope to warn anyone who thinks about entering into an agreement with City Move.
I am using an alias because I have seen that this agency discloses information about the financial situation of former tenants to discredit their bad reviews. According to the UK GDPR (rec. 75), such information classifies as sensitive data, and a violation to protect such data counts as a violation of the individual's rights. Furthermore, as you can see in the other screenshot, they had to give themselves a high rating because their rating was too low.
They'll probably come up with a predictable reply such as "We don't find your name in the records, you must have the wrong agency" or "Your review is false and dishonest".
Truth is that they would do the city a big favour by closing down their business.

Every time I had a problem I just popped in. Even a couple of years later when I have reached out for help Jay has been so helpful and responsive. Almost three years ago I found a lovely room in Bethnal Green thanks to them. They are helpful and always available for any request that I’ve had.

City Move Estate agents may be considered one of the worst agencies in London. The specific reasons for this honourable recognition are listed below:
1. It is an agency that only thinks about the way of getting more money from the tenant.
2. They do not consider the tenant as a client.
3. They are not gentle with the tenant, as for example not giving at least the 24 hours stipulated notice to enter the property.
4. They are negligent with their responsibility of assuring safety and higenic conditions for living in the property, as for example mice control and fire alarm.
5. They are in the position to break the contract whenever they want.
6. They do not always place the deposit on a secure government account.
7. They just get in touch with the tenants when more money is requested, but never to sort out issues raised by them.
8. They are highly unprofessional in the treat with the tenants.
Therefore I would never recommend this agency to anyone looking to move in London

Frankly disappointing. Awful at replying to complaints. Left with a broken toilet for over a week whereby nobody could use it.
Staff are passive aggressive and lack understanding of basic customer service.
They do not communicate with tenants, and astonishingly ALWAYS fail to provide 24 hours notice.
Extremely unhappy with their services, therefore I would not recommend this agency.

The best customer service I’ve come across in a long time. Aside from being friendly, professional and helpful throughout my tenancy, and being given a lovely, clean property for a fabulous price, the wonderful manager Jay kindly phoned me months after my tenancy ended about some money owed to me that I forgot to follow up on. When we got screwed over by our previous rental agency, Jay and the team at City Move Estate made moving into one of their properties as easy as possible.
There were a couple of problems with the property when we moved in (which is why this review is 4 starts instead of 5...) but they were remedied within 48hrs and we’re now happily settled into our new flat.
All in all our experience to date with the City Move Estate team has been great.

One agent named Jay absolutely rude and doesnt know a word of english, when we went to view a flat it was the dirtiest rooms ever and he tried acting like the room was clean. Absolute idiot and does not know how to treat his clients with respect. Would not recommend at all.

Arranged a viewing for today only to be told we could not access the property due to current tenant not being told about viewing ....complete shambles. Agent could have called me ahead of time but instead they waiting until I had travelled across London to be told. If this is how they run their business they should be embarrassed.
