I recently sold my house with colubrid and cannot fault them , my house was sold within 2 weeks. We had around 30 viewings in the first week with several offers.
I was kept up to date at every stage, we had a buyer pull out and the next day they had another buyer at the same offer ready to go.
Special mention to Joshua who did the valuation , he made me feel at ease straight away and I trusted he could sell the house quickly.
The whole team are really friendly and easy to get in touch with.

I came here as a first time buyer and wasn’t sure what I was doing, however I met Tony harper he was so helpful and explained everything to me in complete detail and if I had any questions he had all the answers, nothing was to much for him and he didn’t complain or make me feel like I was asking to much, he was so attentive and understood exactly what I was after, he guided me throughout the whole process.

Josh Morrel, the manager of the Chelmsford branch got a grip of things and helped smooth the whole process of finding a buyer through to completion.
I have since sold two more properties with Colubrid, insisting on Josh doing the valuations with me, which have proven to be pretty much spot on. Keeley does an amazing job with the descriptions and Tony Harper is great with the viewings and communications.
Oh and pretend Josh at Thurrock isn't too shabby to deal with either.
Overall I'm very happy with Colubrid and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I cannot fault this company. After trying a couple of the well known established estate agents in our area and getting a very poor service we noticed several of the Colubrid boards going up. We had far more assistance and viewings than the other estate agents put together. The whole team on Chelmer Village are fantastic, I have to say every time I have contacted Joshua he has responded immediately and has sorted my issues without delay. Excellent service!

Having dealt with quite a few estate agents over the past 6-7 weeks for both buying and selling our current property, I/We can faithfully say in both myself and my wife’s view, Colubrid have been the worst by a substantial margin. The reasons are; They do not take NO for an answer, even when a contract has been signed with another estate agent they push and push, calls everyday trying to get you to cancel your contract within the “14 day cooling off period” with the agent you signed with. Whilst this may be great as it also may show their “determination”, it can be way too much honestly especially in such a stressful time anyway they add to it. Then booking a viewing with them was near on impossible for a potential purchase, while the vendor had troubles with their tenant Colubrid made this harder as this was muddled with multiple calls to both myself and my wife on different days and different occasions with different agents within Colubrid. Then when we actually had a solid booked viewing that was cancelled multiple times for the same property with little to no notice. They were just poorly organized all round compared to the competition, as I’ve said we’ve dealt with lots of estate agents in the local Witham/Chelmsford/Maldon area recently and this one stood out for the wrong reasons. I’m only now writing this review as they’ve phoned me again with poor timing/planning as they clearly dont note down clients requests properly. Looking back both my wife and i are so glad we did not sell our house with this company.

I ended up with a knightmare of a buyer who kept turning up at the property with teams of trades people & the estate agent just enabled him & this happened at least seven times. He demanded we remove all carpets & gut the house for him & kept wanting money off. The estate agent phoned me up once shouting at me because my buyer complained because I had too much stuff for his liking. So I decided enough was enough & didn't allow him back on the property until completion, but still requests were made & this happened until the day I moved out. Even after this the buyer continued to harass me & kept demanding money off me. The estate agents didn't get many potential buyers like they promised & the price I got was not as much as they said they could sell it for. I felt they were working for my buyer & not for me. They were useless & I regret using them.

I would definitely recommend using Colubrid Estate Agents. They are extremely responsive and efficient and made my home buying process as a first time buyer a seamless experience. Joshua Morel was friendly and was available to answer any questions where needed within a timely manner. They were accommodating and made themselves available to view the property within a few hours. I also went with their solicitor recommendation, as they mentioned it would mean the solicitor process would be more efficient. I am glad I decided to proceed with their solicitor recommendation as they were cooperative and even managed to exchange in two months. From the very first meeting with Mark and numerous follow ups with branch manage, Joshua, we could tell they were quite different to your typical estate agents. Reassuring, professional, candid, very personable and we are pleased to say they helped as achieve a sale price we were happy with. I placed an offer and the offer was accepted. I provided my AIP the next day. It is the responsibility of the agent to cancel further viewings and to take the next step to remove the property from the market. Instead, they allowed further viewings stating that an offer was already placed.
Later someone placed a higher offer than me and I lost the property. When I asked the agent they said the time between the offer being accepted and the AIP received they accepted a few viewings and the seller insisted agent to continue with viewing even though the offer is accepted.
The agent tried their best to cancel the viewing but the seller doesn't agree which is not fair.
So if you are a buyer once the offer is accepted insist on them and cancel all viewings. Agent should do it without asking.
Looks like money is more important than professionalism.

Fantastic service throughout the whole process, we had a valuation on our property back in December with Joshua who we knew straight away we wanted to use, he was able to come back out to use within 48 hours to get the proper online. Once this happened we had constant communication from all the staff with updates every step of the way and only had to do one day of viewings to get sold. They arranged nearly 30 viewings for us over a weekend and then due to us getting Covid had to move them all to the following weekend, this was done smoothly and efficiently. I would definitely not recommend these estate agents..I did unfortunately pay them thousands of pounds ,and had to push them every day whereby I it wasn't for myself pushing I would have paid extra in stamp duty. The MD lacks any understanding ,or takes no responsibility for their unprofessional way they had dealt with the sale of my property..Mike the MD just states. Well will sold at market value..He is a rock manager that hides under a rock..They did nothing amazing but caused more issue and headache..Like I've stated. If I did not push daily then nothing would have happened therefore asking me whom had used and pay this company thousands would I Recommend them the answer is No
