Not impressed at all. They don’t respond to emails, they promise a call and never call. Office open till 6pm but no one to talk to at 5.30pm
I believe first impression is all it takes to either win or loose a potential customer. EDIT - why has this review been reported as not genuine? Check your records, I have been your customer, ignored time and time again.

We have been with Connells for six months and unfortunately the service has been extremely disappointing. We received only a small number of viewings, with several buyers failing to show up, and Connells made no effort to follow up or keep us informed. There was no sense of urgency or proactive marketing. Not the level of service we expected.

Seems like they show no interest to new customers, have been told by madeha I will be hearing back with responses to my offer. Have sent off multiple emails which have not been responded to waste of time this place is and by speaking to locals now I know why they seem to be some "favouritism" in this work place back

Travelled from Bourneville to Wombourne to view a property of interest, initial enthusiasm was tempered upon arrival, though this was unrelated to the property's characteristics
I approaching the entrance, the door was opened by an individual identified as Mark. He immediately inquired about my surname without offering a greeting. Having responded, he consulted his list and instructed me to proceed, mentioning that another couple was also viewing the property. I expressed my gratitude and walked into the kitchen. I asked about the occupancy status of the property, the individual responded with uncertainty, stating he is unaware. I followed it up with asking wether the house was previously rented out? Again Mark said no idea i don't get into all that. Further inquiry revealed that the property was bank-owned, not privately held. Subsequently, Mark confirmed the property's status as repossessed due to the owners' failure to meet mortgage payments, while expressing a general disinterest in the specifics of the situation. Throughout his remarks, he appeared to be gazing away, displaying a distinct lack of interest and a sarcastic tone, as if he were reluctantly responding to my inquiries. After looking around the remainder of the property, I happened to overhear him engaging in a civil conversation with the other couple who were also viewing the house. I initially thought perhaps he had a brief lapse in behavior before interacting with my wife and me, which might account for his earlier conduct. Regrettably, my assumption proved incorrect. I noticed a newly installed electrical consumer unit which wasn't completely sealed so I inquired about the functionality of the electrical system, recognizing that the power supply had been disconnected because the property was undergoing repossession. He mentioned that he did not know, and that he had already informed me that he was not involved in those matters. Consequently, I inquired whether he was here to sell the house or to put potential buyers off? He then avoided the question by responding rather abruptly, stating that he had already answered my question and that he doesn't know what I wanted him to say. This response felt excessive at that point, so I mentioned he seems to have a rather poor attitude and should be prepared to address any questions potential buyers might have. He then clarified that he was not an estate agent but a viewing representative, and therefore, again doesn't know what he wants me to say. Clearly i wasnt getting anywhere with him so I informed him that I would be pursuing this matter further and then left the property.
I contacted the Wolverhampton Connells branch and spoke with the branch manager, Helen, who was exceedingly courteous. She kindly requested that I forward the details of the incident via email and offered apologies on Mark's behalf. I have since submitted a formal complaint.
As a seasoned investor with a property portfolio, I have engaged with a diverse range of estate agents and consistently encountered positive interactions, including my previous experiences with Connells, notwithstanding the recent negative media coverage stemming from the BBC Panorama documentary.
The last thing Connells needs at this stage is more bad publicity and it doesn't help when you have someone who's actions are discriminatory towards certain groups of people even in a professional capacity. Or maybe I didn't make the cut as a "Hot buyer" who knows? Lost complete trust in them and strongly advise to sell and buy your house elsewhere.

Really disappointed after booking time off work so won’t be using them

Avoid at all costs, they ignore basic tenant repair laws of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018.
They let me suffer with a broken shower floor for almost 6 months and kept the property in a complete destitute situation for me which they acquired at the start of my tenancy.
They don’t even check the first floor kitchen state of property for completely unusable and poor state of fridge and completely broken freezer and say they have cleaning staff but keep the property disgustingly filthy.
And to top it off they will claim this completely destitute state of living and poor facilities will be the tenants fault, and try and blame you for moving in when it was like this all along.

“I had a very disappointing experience with this estate agent. I booked and confirmed an appointment on my phone, and I even called the office when I arrived at the property after traveling from London. The office assured me that someone would be there shortly, but after waiting for 20 minutes, I called again only to be told that the colleague had already left the property. This was very frustrating, especially since I was clearly waiting outside the property and no one informed me about them being inside or leaving. I had explained beforehand that I didn’t have extra time, as I needed to get back to London to pick up my daughter from school. The lack of communication and poor customer service was really disappointing

I couldn’t be more happy with the lettings team, from start to finish the process as a landlord couldn’t be easier and more streamlined.
I was contacted by Beth to let my property after advertising with another agency to no avail. She was professional and knowledgeable when coming to see my property and swiftly marketed the property for me.
Within a couple of days I was contacted by Meghan to inform me of a large block viewing, she explained to Me the qualified applicants coming to view my property and was able to find me some A-Class tenants on the first round of viewings.
Lewis the manager was able to confirm all of my questions and helped provide a reliable and professional service.

Useless company adivce people avoid them total messers rude and arogant called up made enquiries about 2 properties i seen they told me on phone we will get back to you in 24 to 48 hours its been 4 weeks since then not a single call back did even email them they ignore emails aswel dont bother replying back. They favour their investors more who give them a little tip or back handers on properties.

Not very impressed with the lack of communication, we had to keep calling and emailing as we wasn’t given many updates with our house purchase, the sellers were taking forever and dragging it out. Took six months until completion, agreed to collect our keys from sellers at 1PM but they were still moving out after 1PM (didn’t know this was a big no no - finally had property at 4-5PM, we couldn’t move our stuff in until this point) No follow up with connells other then emails to give them a review of the service.
The surveys we paid for was didn’t pick up anything other than asbestos - never said where, all side entry badly leaking but nothing noted, few other issues but again was never mentioned on surveys).
Also disappointed we never recieved a welcome pack or gift as we’ve saw other people with connells and other estate agents get.
No copy of any paperwork given to us either, surveys / completion certificate. Was expecting a hard copy of all paperwork from them as part of the fees we paid out.
Another thing was they wasn’t up front about additional costs, told them we wasn’t interested in a WILL but was charged for one anyway (which still hasn’t been set up from Jan 2023).
And they never sent myself any emails or contacted me, it was always only my partner.

SCAMMERS IN SUITS BEHIND A DESK.I had to cancel my contract with Connells and move to another estate agent. I found out Connells were telling buyers the property was sold, when it was still on the market. Black and Ethnic people do not sell your property with Connells, and Dixons . They are racist, true I counted all the staff in wolverhampton branch they employ minimum of 15 staff and all are white not one ethnic minority . I have reported them to Wolverhampton City Council Employment Law. would not sell my property with C.onnells and Dixons they are scammers in suits. I would avoid Connells like the plague. Live to undervalue your property, ensure underhanded tactics to lower your price.
Connells where given all information to do with the selling of my property and substantiated by my solicitor. Behind my back James Wenlock advertised my property, made sure the lease details of 154 years was not available and Connells told buyers verbally the property had 64 years left on the lease. This immediately eliminated mortgage buyers and put my property into the bargain basement. 2 months 4/5 viewings, I knew something was fishy. By accident it was revealed by Connells rep on viewing he as on his pad 64 years. Be careful of these unscrupulous under handed back stabbing snakes.
This was done deliberate, more than likely had his mate lined up. If I don't get offers or sale, price is too high. Fortunately for me I found out by accident. Can you imagine how much other people they have done this to, and they don't know. Also Dixon is owned by Connells James Wentlock and his side kick Thomas from Dixons are snakes. Be careful, this is part of their tactics. To sell your property to their property investor mates. Family or friends at a discount. Thomas and James are scammers in suits. Low life. Connells and Dixons are the same company different names.

Overall I was happy with the service Connells provided for the sale of my house.
However it took 14 months, from April 2022 to June 2023 to sell. Luckily I wasn't under pressure to sell quickly.
The long time to sell the house was down to a mixture of things including the following:
1 The difficult market conditions, where the mortgage rates were rising quickly towards the end of the year 2022.
2. My own pricing demands. In hindsight there were a couple of bids in April-June 2022 that were £10-15k below the original asking price that I should have considered more seriously, and perhaps accepted.
3. At least 2 buyers dropping out after I had accepted their bids. Perhaps the vetting process that Connells used on the buyers could be more stringent? It was frustrating for me to accept a bid only to find out a few weeks later that it had fallen through after the buyers had gone through further financial checks.
I felt that Connells were always professional and got me plenty of viewings while the house was for sale. They were generally pretty responsive.
Once I finally got legitimate buyers in early 2023, the sale went through smoothly. I got regular updates from them on the sale progression.
I want to thank all the team at Connells for their help in selling my house. We got there in the end.

I cannot fault Connells customer service. Our house went on the market on a Friday, 2 hours later, Courtney had 4 viewings over the weekend and it was under offer by the end of Monday.
Emma and Jackie then helped me speak to my bush solistor to get our hosue exchanged and completed.
All three members of staff replied to my emails and calls with a few hours and were very polite, friendly and efficient which is what I needed due to selling and then buying a new house.

Connells only help faster if you use there mortgage broker, otherwise they will waste your time , even you have better interest deals from your own bank , they won’t forward your offer to seller, they convince you to use there broker and fees charge you £500 plus £100 extra house fees something then your offer will accept , they wasted my 2-3 months and told my application is declined, then I went back to my bank for mortgage, finally I got my house keys after 4-5 months , by the time interest rate gone up, because of Connels

We had very good service and help from Charlotte Blount. She organised tenants promptly and dealt with all the administration. I would recommend the company for anyone that wants to let their property.

We are pleased with the valuation by connells and the fact they achieved for us the asking price However beware they are sole agents and if you appoint another estate agent there percentage increases from 1% to 3% if sold by different eastate agent. This was not made clear by there agent at the time of signing up. Otherwise a good result.

At the time of writing this review we are still to complete. The whole process with Connells has been disappointing for me.
Getting a buyer took longer than average for our area (other houses were selling within 4 days and ours took 9 weeks). We complained to Connells and they stated that there were issues with photos being not to the "showroom standard" and this was as a result of not being guided the best way to present the property.
At the initial valuation we were told that Connells pre-check their clients prior to agreeing an offer - this was not the case with our buyer.
We are having to push every week to get progress and having had our experience I would not be using Connells again in the future.

Terrible communication late for appointments didn’t listen arranged viewings that were not buyers eventually sold our house but charged the buyers for terrible mortgage advice which delays the sale and nearly cost us our new house would never use them again for anything
