I was impressed from the get go, the presentation Ginene gave us right at the start was personalised to our home, which was missing from other estate agents I have worked with in the past or ones we had approached when deciding on which estate agent to use. Country Holmes were the estate agent for the vendor of the house we recently completed on. At the start, Tom was great showing us round the house a couple of times and eventually we put an offer in and had it accepted.
Everyone we spoke to throughout the process was friendly and extremely helpful. Special mention needs to go to Amber and Ginene who were always so helpful when we called up for updates. Amber in particular always seemed to be able to get updates from further up the chain (we were in quite a large one!) that no one else seemed to be able to!
We were really impressed by them and couldn’t recommend them enough- I’m sure the service they provided our vendor was just good as the one they gave us.

Their 3D tour of our property, definitely went a long way to securing a sale for us, and very quickly too, 10 weeks to be exact. We highly recommend Country Holmes if you are thinking of moving house. Although we never actually moved due to issues with our chain, the team at Country Holmes were very helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. The initial valuation of our home with Country Holmes was an easy process. Mike was good enough to support us through additional steps we needed to take to get our house on the market, due to an agreement on it that meant valuation needed council approval. Mike also spent a great deal of time on our house photos and walk around tour, even returning on a different day for outside shots when the sun was out.
When we found a house we wanted to buy Katelyn at Country Holmes was fantastic at communicating with the vendors on our behalf and helped us to agree a price and secure a sale on the property.
Mike and team were always available whenever we needed and we will absolutely return to them when we are ready to start the process of marketing our house again.

Country Holmes were fantastic from start to finish. They took all the normal stressors away that come with moving house and made it an enjoyable experience.
They helped us find our dream home and also sold our home in the space of a week.
They took great photos of our house and used a tool called the matterport which meant our listing could be walked around online in 3D which added to the premium service we experienced.
Katelyn was wonderful and nothing was ever too much trouble to ask. She kept us updated throughout the journey and always went that extra mile (including going in to the office on her day off to let us know our offer had been accepted!).

It was only on the market for a week before we accepted an offer. We have completed today. Seamless. Would absolutely recommend. Our buyers moved from the other end of the country, but had viewed the house via their interactive tour. The viewing was just to confirm they were happy as they had already decided from the internet tour that it was the one for them! A job well done.

Like most people we were in the race to make the most of the Stamp Duty relief at the end of June. To add to it we were moving and getting married within a month of each other. The chain was complicated. Evie was fantastic, always kept in touch and made sure we were in the loop, worked with us and the chain to smooth out complications and find new and innovative ways to resolve problems. When Evie was on holiday we dealt with other members of the team and they were just as helpful friendly and supportive - we cant thank them enough!!!

I’m not sure where to start as I honestly cannot say enough good things about country Holmes. We made a decision to sell our starter family home and ended up moving to our forever home, so having the right estate agent to help facilitate the process was crucial. We decided to get quotes from several agents. The online agent came out significantly cheaper but we were conscious of the fact that in life you generally get what you pay for. The fact that Country Holmes are one of the top sellers in the Glossop area also spoke volumes. We therefore made the decision to proceed with them and I can honestly say it was the best decision we made. In Mike (company director), you’d genuinely struggle to find a more professional (yet personable), efficient and responsive person to help sell your house. He even managed to find us our dream home! Nothing was ever too much effort for Mike- knowing how desperate we were to get our house on the market, he was up at the crack of dawn and rang me before I’d even rolled out of bed to go through the final details before we went live. Mike is also a pioneer in using state of the art technology which is unrivalled by any other local agent- the 3D walkthrough and doll house view are brilliant and reallly gave prospective buyers a true sense of perspective and the floor space on offer within our house. The girls in the office (initially Rochelle, then Evie) were equally brilliant and whenever anything needed chasing up they would do so immediately (despite the high demand caused by the SD holiday) and we were always kept promptly up to date with any developments. We are not planning to move again but if the situation arose we wouldn’t consider anyone other than Country Holmes. You should do the same- you won’t regret it.

We worked with Evie at Country Holmes to purchase a property recently and frankly the whole experience from the estate agents side couldn't have been better. From the first viewings the professionalism and property knowledge was fantastic. Communication was brilliant with same day/same hour responses right throughout the process. Would recommend Country Holmes but specifically Evie was fantastic to have on board.

The service provided by Mike, Evie, Rochelle and Jan (both Jans!) at Country Holmes was exceptional. I cannot praise them enough. From the first phone call through to completion day they held my hand every step of the way. There is no aspect of my sale I could have asked them to improve upon, the property was thoroughly marketed, the number of viewings amazing, the price achieved excellent. Their advice and guidance was invaluable. I would recommend them without hesitation and would return to buy or sell with Country Holmes again. Rochelle helped us buy our cottage and she has been absolutely amazing. I have rang so many times because we really needed to move into the house as soon as possible because I am heavily pregnant. Rochelle went above and beyond for us - always rang the sellers straight away and did everything she could to hurry the sale. I honestly believe from the offset, without Rochelle we would not be in the house already. Thank you so much for all your time we will be forever grateful!

For me the Country Holmes state agent in Glossop is the best, they have two special ladies working for them Rochelle and Cherrel????????????????. They were very helpful, kind and informative. Kepted me up to date with new homes coming on the market, where others were up to and very friendly people, l'm setting up my own business as a landlord was very refreshing to know still special people like them out there :)

Can't praise the staff enough, especially Cheryl who was an absolute trooper through the recent sale of our house.
Everybody I have dealt with was friendly, & Mike was blunt & to the point about things, which for me was great as I knew where I stood.
I would definitely use Country Homes again should I wish to market a property again.
