I honestly couldn’t recommend Donna at Countrywide enough. As a first-time buyer on my own, the whole mortgage process felt scary and overwhelming, but Donna made everything feel so much easier from the very beginning.
She took the time to break everything down in a way I could actually understand and made sure I felt confident at every stage from start to finish. She was always so quick to respond to any questions (no matter how small), incredibly professional, and genuinely friendly. It really felt like she was celebrating the journey with me like a friend, not just handling it as a job.
Nothing was ever too much to ask and everything was dealt with so efficiently. I’m so grateful for all her support — thank you, Donna!

Our experience with Countrywide Paisley has been really disappointing. Communication was poor from the moment we signed the agreement and we constantly had to chase them up for updates.
The original listing they put online was wrong and we had to phone them to get it changed. The photographer who turned up was quite cheeky with us and even got annoyed that we had the home report scheduled for the same day, even though the appointments didn’t actually overlap.
Once the listing was up, it became almost impossible to get Countrywide to help with viewings. We ended up doing most of them ourselves. The single viewing they did do, the agent arrived late and left the couple standing outside in the rain. They also had us do an “open house event” that they only scheduled two viewings for, this one was the viewing the agent was late for. Left the house for hours for them to do this.
Even after giving them our availability, we kept getting bookings outside those times and had to phone again to get everything changed.
When we spoke to the branch manager about some of these issues, she was rude and condescending, even though she ended up being wrong about one of the major problems we had. They told us we needed to pay for a home report refresh and even added money on top just for arranging the call. When I phoned the company myself, they confirmed we didn’t need it at all and they had to phone the branch to sort it out. This took up even more time and delayed the sale.
The only reason this isn’t a one-star review is because the mortgage advisor we worked with, Andrew from the Hamilton branch, was great. He was helpful, always in contact and genuinely made things easier. The advisor who took over after he left was also very good.
Overall, I’d recommend avoiding Countrywide. We had a much better experience with New Door. I met Lorraine several times when she was doing viewings and when picking up keys and she was absolutely lovely to deal with.

Our experience with Countrywide Paisley has been completely smooth sailing. We started with a valuation from Stephen well in the region of what we expected and from there the whole process to accepting an offer took just over 3 weeks.
Once we agreed to go ahead with Countrywide Paisley everything kicked into gear and moved quickly, with the photography and home report visit booked in and all handled with the wonderful team here. Christopher made this process easy, and once we were live and on the market, Gheila stepped in as our negotiator and it all took off. We had 14 viewings booked in and a closing date agreed all within 10 days of being on the market. We then accepted an incredible offer on the closing date all thanks to the incredible team. Viewings were carried out ourselves and with the support of the Gheila herself when we were not available. The support and guidance offered through this process as first time sellers has made all the difference.

Countrywide in Paisley were fabulous when selling my property recently. A very well-oiled machine taking all the stress, hassle and confusion away. From the initial meeting with Christopher to the viewing bookings, call-backs and negotiations handled by Megan and the team in the office, Rocha & Melissa, nothing phased them.
The marketing of the property was beyond my expectations, 20 viewings generated over 4 days, 12 in the first 24 hours, and all viewings handled by Countrywide's own experienced viewings team - really couldn't ask for more!
From my experience I really can't recommend Countrywide highly enough, very efficient, professional, reassuring and focused on maximising the sale opportunity. Definitely a safe pair of hands!

I was coming to Glasgow from England last week and on Wednesday and requested home reports for 2 x properties I wanted to view.
On Thursday morning last week I called them but it rang out without an answer and than asked me to leave my details and they'd get back to me. During the day I called them five more times only to get the leave your details message.
I then called again on Friday morning to again get the leave your details message. I decided to send an email and five minutes later a female called and I immediately called back at about 11.30am. I stated I was back in Glasgow for the weekend and wished to view both properties. She then asked when I could be available and I said, today (Friday) Saturday or Monday morning. She then stated she would contact the sellers and find out availability as they were doing the viewings and get back to me asap but also no indication of pre booked viewings on any of my available days
At 14:30 (Friday) I had no contact so I decided to go into rightmove and look at one of the properties which had gone from the page but was now in the Sold stc section.
The rest of Friday and Saturday I waited for a call from the agent but nothing.

I cannot recommend country wide in Paisley enough. It started off with Christopher visiting my home to value and give advice. He was really helpful, honest and I felt he really understood our home and the work we had put into it making the valuation accurate. The photographer and surveyor Jonathan were extremely professional and friendly. Once our house was on the market I had regular communication with Alison and Catriona in the office, both ladies were so lovely each time they called and were very on top of making viewings and reporting back with feedback after each viewing. In the end I got a really great offer for my home very soon after it went on the market and it was so lovely that you could feel the whole team in the office were delighted too.

Tried to arrange a viewing for a property and found the initial call slightly off putting. Agent was slightly rude but thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. We realised that we were going to be 15-20 minutes late on the day and called to advise. I could almost feel the sigh. I was told that the person would attempt to hold on along with some excuse. We were made to feel like an inconvenience and everything was such a hassle for them. This has put us off viewing the property that day and any property being marketed by this agent in the future.

Arranged a viewing for a property in Neilston. Got there early, and two other viewers arrived. We waited for 45 minutes beyond the appointment time and nobody showed up to show us the property. Received a call the next day just before they shut for the day, saying that there was a mix up but offering no further elaboration. We had even confirmed the viewing on the day itself so I don't place any weight in their excuse. We also requested for the home report and have not received it after 4 days. I would not recommend this company as a seller or a buyer for these reasons.
