A neighbour is using this agent to sell their home. I will be selling my home this year, so I took a look at my neighbour's listing, with a view to using this agent too. I was shocked and very angry to see that the estate agent has included an aerial picture which also includes my home and garden. This is an invasion of my privacy and must break CAA rules for drone use. Pictures should only show the home being sold. I intend to take this further and complain to the estate agents professional body.... Read more

First Christmas in our new home. Earlier in the year we decided to move and my partner and I asked Elizabeth Gaughan Homes for a valuation. Elizabeth was very friendly. The problem was her valuation. It was way below what we expected. Similar houses sell for much more. We decided to ask two other local agents for valuations. They were both the same and over £20,000 more than Elizabeth's. We went with one of them and sold in three weeks. The extra money reduced out mortgage at the new house. It was better to use an established agent rather than a new budget one. Elizabeth only uses Rightmove too. Our agent used all the selling sites including Zoopla, Rightmove etc. That's why we sold fast.... Read more

This isn't true, as until recently she ran a cattery. Black and White Boarding Cattery can still be found via Google, but is now out of business. In late December we started looking for a new home in the Nottingham area. We eventually decided upon the Wollaton, Bramcoat, Beeston or West Bridgford areas. This agent produced a video of one of the properties we were interested in. Pictorially is was very good, although it was difficult to follow her narration, due to her strong local accent. It may be a good idea for the commentary on future videos, to be presented by someone with a neutral, or middle-class accent. We called at the agents office for more information several times. This was around Christmas. The office was always closed. Presumably the agent was on holiday? This is the problem with a small estate agent. There is no cover for sickness or holidays. We noted that the agents advert states, "Meet the team". But there is only one person running the firm. That's not a team. In the end it all worked out well. We put in an offer through a different agent, for a house in West Bridgford. It was accepted and we moved in a couple of weeks ago. West Bridgford was definitely the right choice. Elizabeth is an amazing estate agent and I can’t recommend her enough. I hadn’t used an estate agent for years and previous experiences had not been great so I wanted to try a different approach and when I saw Elizabeths new business I thought I would get in touch and see what it was like. Right from the start it was clear that this was a different level of service. Elizabeth came out to my house and advised me how I could add value and what to focus on. I then spent some time making the changes and then put the house on the market through Elizabeth. The video for the house sale was amazing with drone footage and music which really showcased the property to its full potential. We had one day of viewings and everyone made offers with most over the asking price so it couldn’t have gone any better.
