We have recently moved into the area having searched for a long time for our perfect home. We met Nicola on a number of house viewings and she was always warm and friendly. I found Forresters service excellent from start to finish. They appear to have an intelligent and intuitive approach to matching buyers to properties and my home sold almost before they had marketed it. I was very fortunate to get asking price and encouraged neither to market too low or too high.
Nicola was very well informed about local trends and availability of similar properties. She was responsive - and all staff seemed to be aware of my property and its situation as it progressed.
Communication was very good - Nicola kept me updated on developments as she became aware of them. I was very comfortable and confident (having previously experienced purchasing my home through Forresters) to engage them in selling my home.

When faced with having to sell my mother’s bungalow as she was sadly moved into a care home, we didn’t know where to start. After finding a 5? Google review from someone in a similar situation, we decided to entrust Foresters to guide us through the process – and they did not disappoint.
From our very first meeting with Phil, his honesty and empathy towards our situation shone through. He has a wonderful ability to really listen to your needs while also helping you to understand the market and focus on what matters.

Due to unfortunate circumstances I had to sell my house and I'm so pleased I entrusted this to Foresters. Pre sale, they gave me lots of time and advice, and when the time came they dealt with everything quickly and efficiently. Viewings were well managed and they found me the ideal buyer at the right price, all I could have hoped for.
And then they really stepped up a gear and spent a great deal of time and effort dealing with all parties in the chain and really helping to piece the whole transaction together. The help they gave me with my onward purchase was invaluable and saved me a lot of time and trouble.
The whole team, but particularly Casey and Phil, have been great from start to finish and I really couldn't recommend them more highly. Thank you, Foresters, for all your help.

Very short staffed cannot take on any more business so we were informed by Toby, which is just as well because the last time we used Foresters they failed us. Thought we would give them a second chance but not meant to be. No staff to attend to business means you’re better off taking your business elsewhere.

Phil and his team at Foresters stood out from the start as the best estate agents in Heathfield. We've used several, and it was by far the smoothest and nicest experience we've had!
We had a simple chain that got tricky really fast but they managed to pick up the phone, chase bits regularly and email back promptly! (even during staff annual leave)
Communication and the friendly nature of everyone were the main reasons we got the chain over the line! Thank you from both of us!

I think that we have the record for Phil’s lengthiest case! That said, none of this was of Foresters making- rather buyers further down the chain. We had the most patient buyer for our lovely late mother’s bungalow and, after nearly 2 1/2 years , we have finally completed. Phil patiently and calmly guided us through the whole process. His efforts to ‘chase down the line’ were above and beyond. He communicated each step clearly, was a great sounding block, showed empathy and understanding of our situation and is to be applauded for his tenacity.
As a family we have used Foresters several times over the years and indeed Mike Fordham was instrumental in selling our family home when Mum decided to finally downsize. It is fitting that Foresters take credit for completing the last sale.
Phil was our main point of contact, but everyone in the office knew us, were appraised of our situation and always offered advice, passing on messages which were promptly actioned.
They say that undertaking a house sale is one of the most stressful things to face in life and I wouldn’t disagree. As an executor I wanted to represent my siblings to the best of my ability. Phil quietly lead us through the process and eventually we achieved our goal. Thank you Foresters, especially Phil, and we wish our buyer every happiness in their new home.

As an employee for the last three years I am writing this review from a different, but equally important, perspective as it demonstrates why Foresters as a family business, have been selling and letting houses successfully for over 40 years.
Foresters is a really nice place to work, with lovely people and is a great example of a good employer.
Working hard as a team Foesters care about the people they deal with on a daily basis, in all aspects of people selling, buying and letting houses, which can sometimes be a stressful and emotional time for the clients.
During this process Foresters are also mindful about the well being and welfare of their staff. It's fair to say there are a few hectic days!
To summarise... (Lucy will 'woof' her approval! ) Happy staff, happy selling and letting!

On day of completion had been contacted by solicitors and other estate agency to say everything’s done, waited ages for foresters and nothing had to chase up ourselves as we Litterally had no where to go with all our stuff, get to the property to find previous owner had left lots of old stuff in loft garden down side of bungalow, estate agents hadn’t made sure property was empty, someone popped by to have a look but that’s all nothing was done about it and also forgetting are welcome package which we never recieved, wouldn’t Reccomend
