I wanted to leave a review for Ed at FF Heathfield branch . Ed was very supportive and understanding of my needs while I was looking for a new property to rent . Ed was very aware of my mobility issue and always checked if a property that came up for rental was suitable and affordable for my needs . Ed would call me weekly to check up on me which I found really helpful and useful . No estate agent has ever gone above and beyond to look for suitable properties and check on someone’s wellbeing . Even though I didn’t find a property through FF . I would 100% consider using them again if needed and I will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking to sell or rent a property. Greg was very generous with his time for the initial discussion and was more than happy to take over when we initially went with a different agent. Lucy and Katie were always responsive and courteous plus did great jobs on the viewings and Rhys conducted a masterful negotiation meaning we achieved the bottom of our guide price range for the property, allowing us to move to our new home. I can’t speak to the sales team but the lettings team is The Worst. I paid about £200 a month in fees to Freeman Forman to manage a rental property several hours away. They found terrible tenants who trashed the house and who caused thousands of pounds of damage and had to be evicted, they didn’t alert me when the house and garden fell into disrepair, and they forgot to do an end of tenancy inventory so I couldn’t even keep the tenant deposit to offset the cost of repairs. Freeman Forman even admitted to me that they dropped the ball. Still, did they take any financial responsibility or try to make things right with me? Of course not! These people are incompetent at best and lazy and greedy at worst. They provide a totally useless yet expensive service and I would have been much better off managing the property myself. AVOID.
UPDATE: Freeman Forman replied to this one-star review and I took them up on the offer to discuss my issues with them further. Their response was to send me a blank complaint form to fill out and return to a generic email address. I wish I could update this review to zero stars simply for the sleazy veneer of pretending to care about their customers, as well as their complete lack of awareness around customer service. They are a perfect example of what happens when incompetence, indifference, anonymity, and greed are normalised in business. I stand by my original statement and double down: AVOID AVOID AVOID.

What ever you do - do not got to Rebecca the mortgage advisor!! We went to her last year to renew our mortgage. She kept pushing for us to pay £600 for this scheme where we don’t pay any fees for future mortgages. We paid. A week later she’s telling us she can’t get us a mortgage! She would ignore all our calls and emails. So we decided to go independently and got our mortgage straight away! We continued to contact her for our £600 back as we received NO SERVICE from her to which she kept ignoring us! My partner has been going backwards and forwards with someone her office for around a year now ,who also agreed this was wrong, has now told us they’re not giving us our money back! Might I add we are two grieving parents that had not long lost our child at that time and she knew and met them the last time we’d met her. Praying on the vulnerable and conning them out of their hard earned money! Absolutely disgusting you should be ashamed!

Absolutely terrible service, don’t know what they are doing, push you to the point where you get frustrated with them, then they use that as a reason to be rude on the phone.
Advert said communal parking…..now being told it’s allocated, which is fine but the lady was very rude about it.
Had to chase the inventory twice a week for a month…. Then it said a window was working that was not….
Before we rented the building we were promised someone would contact us to repair a hole in the wall….guess what NOTHING had happened.
I will not be using this company again it’s just the worst

Dreadful Estate Agent. Overpaid for the poor service received. When listed all we weren’t happy about, including witnessing one of their negotiators leaving people viewing our property in the bungalow UNATTENDED whilst they showed others the garage, and asked for a reduction in the fee we were point blank refused…they may have good reviews on here but check Feefo they have 50% ONE STAR reviews!!! Typical corporate couldn’t care less attitude!

Freeman Forman in Heathfield has been great. We had the pleasure of working with Katie, who's been amazing from start to finish. She was very prompt in responding to queries, always providing us updates (which can be rare, especially as buyers) overall, very professional and lovely.
I also really appreciated the buying process, and the company didn't want to create a bidding war that could become a bit ugly and take away the excitement. Would definitely recommend Freenan Forman

Freeman forman listed my late Mother's property upon their website and displayed it in their window as "Sold". In fact the sale had nothing to do with them, it was successfully negotiated by another local agent. All requests to remove this were ignored despite phone calls, an email and a visit to their office. This was clearly a misrepresentation by Freeman Forman.
Freeman Forman's response is a further illustration of their incompetence.
I have already emailed them together with phone calls and a visit to their Office.
FREEMAN FORMAN HAVE NOT SOLD THIS PROPERTY, why are they advertising on their Website and Window display that they have?, they have not even conducted any viewings and no longer hold the Keys.
The only way to remedy this is for Freeman Forman to apologise and to amend their records.

The team at Freeman Forman were fantastic from start to finish in helping with the sale of my flat. Greg is extremely knowledgeable and came fully prepared with lots of research, to do the valuation. The team arranged lots of viewings and obtained an offer very quickly which was great as we needed to act quickly on the house we wanted to buy. All of the staff in the office were really helpful, particularly Sophie who kept completely on top of things and continued chasing solicitors and other parties throughout the process to get the sale finalised.

I can't recommend Freeman and Foreman enough! Greg helped me 5 or so years ago when I was buying a property so when I came around to wanting to sell, it was a no brainer - Greg was the man for the job! Greg is extremely knowledgeable about the local market, he gives expert advice and is always on hand to help in whatever way he can - he really does go the extra mile. A week after listing my property on the market, Greg secured me 8 viewings resulting in 7 offers (all of which then increased)! Greg also helped me secure my dream property which I'm ever so thankful for. Sophie was also amazing! She was constantly on her game, providing me with updates and pushing everything through as quick as possible. I can't thank you guys enough - you truly are fantastic at what you do and I hope you are commended for your efforts. The worst estate agent ever, I had an appointment to view house and they didn’t turn up or contact me. It took me over an hour to get there and over an hour to get back and £15 in petrol and I phoned them and they fed me with lies and said that everyone was contacted by phone yesterday to cancel because it had gone. I had no missed calls, text messages or voicemails. Unprofessional and bad customer service.

We worked with Greg and his colleagues in the Freeman Forman Heathfield branch, and although we have decided not to proceed with the sale of our house (for which Greg secured a very good offer), we have no hesitation in recommending Greg, Kay and their colleagues to both prospectives sellers and buyers. They know the area, have a good network across the region and are responsive, professional and kind. If circumstances change, we will certainly return to Freeman Forman to sell our house.

From the initial meeting I was confident that Daryl and the team were running a pretty slick operation and had good answers to my questions.
Due to Covid restrictions, they recommended grouping all the viewings together on one day, which involved us 'moving out' for a day.
The plan paid off well, with 7 bookings, 6 viewings and 5 offers on the next working day !

The team at Freemen Forman in Heathfield, with particular mention going to Kay and Sophie, were really helpful in guiding our father in the sale of his house, after our mother's death. They kept us updated at all times, and made sure we had every assistance required to get that final sale through of a rather unique house, in a very uncertain property market. Every member of staff at the Heathfield branch of Freeman Forman that I spoke to during the sale of my late sister's house knew exactly where we were up to whenever I contacted them. They all dealt with my queries with exceptional professionalism. Messages were acted on promptly and Solicitors chased when necessary. The quality of service from each member of the team was excellent.
Forman Freeman apply research techniques before listing a house for sale so that realistic market values and expectations can be applied to selling the property, whilst observing the need to match those expectations with client circumstances. Their marketing techniques meant that there were plenty of viewers lined up and offers made within two weeks of listing the property. The house was under offer by the end of those two weeks and the sale progressed to completion within one month of probate being granted, Freeman Forman having everything in place to smooth the way. I would have no doubts about using them again in the future.

Very rude when decided not to go with them. After cancelling a couple of viewings after founding the house of our dreams, got bombarded by unwanted emails and pushy sales calls to go with their mortgage brooker. Although the Becky was pleasant and had offered a better deal, we went back to our original brooker who said he would be able to do better still. I thoughtfully called to cancel the appointment as we were happy with our current mortgage brooker only to be have a very unprofessional angry lady say oh why didn't he find that in the first place and hung up before I could say any more. Will not be using them ever again.

Well followed-up and efficiently managed from local Heathfield office. Good personal contact.
I have had the occasional difficulty communicating with Head Office re their policy of issuing statements only when cash is transferred. Statements should be sent to landlords every month to keep track of monies owing, bill outstanding etc. Head Office service is more impersonal.

I have used Freeman Foreman (Heathfield) twice to find tenants for a detached house in the countryside. In both cases they found the tenants very quickly. They did a very good job of assessing the people and in both cases I ended up with great tenants who pay on time and are very little trouble. I like the fact that Freeman Foreman
are very picky and ensure all the T's are crossed and the i's dotted.

Absolutely terrible. They asked for a deposit on a property to let while we were selling our house. They were informed of our position as soon as we expressed an interest in the property. They still took a deposit knowing it was likely we wouldnt be able to move in time. This is only my second move in 33 years and on any occasion when I asked Freeman and Foreman for advice as to whether we would be able to move they palmed me off with waffle. On more than one occasion I suggested they ask their sellng department. This didnt happen and as soon as I paid the deposit they started to apply pressure for a moving date! When I spoke to a reputable letting agent they said that a deposit shouldnt be taken until I had exchanged contracts on the property I was selling. Be very wary when dealing with this company.
