Robert in Goadsby Southampton office recently sold a property for an aging friend of mine. I live 120 miles away from Southampton so thought it would be a difficult process to manage. From our first meeting at the property Robert was always incredibly professional and nothing was too much trouble. Whenever we asked a question we received replies immediately. Unfortunately we encountered problems with the property as its old and in a very poor condition. Robert organised plumbers and locksmiths to attend the property within hours of us asking. Rob you are the best manager and now you got a new gem Baxter besides the wonderful Reece. I never had to wait for any queries and Baxter normally comes back to me via email and phone calls in 5 to 10 minutes, sometimes earlier than that when I request for a direct call back. I have also experienced Reece invaluable advice on particular queries. You guys are best, really I mean this and I will come back to Goadsby again and agin and again for sure. The last line comment is from my lovely wife.

Second to none support from both Simon from London road branch and Mandy from Chandlers ford who was our sales progressor.
I had chosen a solicitor who you'd have thought didn't own a keyboard and didn't understand the concept of answering a phone... This became extremely frustrating as we couldn't get any updates or any communication at all for that matter and as first time buyers you need to have some level of "hand holding" because everything is new and confusing
Luckily Simon and Mandy were on the case and helped push for responses and eventually we managed to lock in a completion date for when we needed it
Both Mandy and Simon knew my that communication was not my solicitors forte and therefore called me the moment we exchanged to congratulate us..

I let with this agency for 5 years and they have always been extremely helpful and nice. They always came beck to me with answers to every questions and solutions to every problem in a very short. I had a scare about having a pest infestation and they informed the police state manager the same day so they could send someone to assess the situation (thankfully there was no pest there). They liaised with my landlord when I needed contract extension and we’re very understanding of my busy schedule. Regular a management checks were done and the report was always thiurough and helpful. Overall cannot recommend them enough.

We had an excellent experience with looking for a property from the start to the finish where we unfortunately had to pull out of the property due to some unexpected development.
The viewing agent James was very friendly in both our viewings and answered all our questions promptly while Rob gave us a very honest summary of the expectations of the seller and what was expected of us which was extremely helpful in making a decision.
We felt rather bad about having to pull out but even after that, their response has been better than expected. We are certain to use them next time.

I have been renting my flat for the last 4 months with Goadsby and just had my first maintenance check visit today. It was very easy to rearrange my visit due to work patterns, they did not put any problems to that.

Goadsby Southampton certainly quash any bad traits that people often say about Estate Agents.
The entire process was excellent from listing/photos/viewings/feedback etc and then the sale chasing and making things happen with various solicitors and the chain was the difference to us moving to the deadline we needed to. They update you, call you back, give you advice - nothing is too much trouble.
All of the team across both Southampton and Chandlers Ford; Georgia, Martin, Ben, Mandy, Josie, Andrew - all excellent and were all 'human' who genuinely cared and understood how tough moving is.

I am not normally someone to write a review, especially for companies with multiple branches. However, my experience at Goadsbys Southampton has been appalling. I am a student and began the process of paperwork for renting in February 2019. From the offset, my housemates and I were spoken to very rudely and treated like an inconvenience. The atmosphere in the office reflects the tired attitude we experienced throughout the process and although this company isn't specific to student lettings, if you are a student in Southampton reading this then I would just advise that you go elsewhere.

The team at Goadsby London Road were quick to contact us and let us know when our dream property had come back to the market and to fit us in for a viewing.
Once the deal was tied up Ben Tomlinson, Georgia Munro Ford and Mandy Ballard all worked persistently to get the transaction through, even when it seemed like it might have hit an insurmountable snag. This is the second property that we have sold via Goadsby and this experience was as good, if not better than the previous transaction. The information flow and level of communication has been excellent, they have been prompt to respond to any issues or questions we had and have provided regular updates to us. Our instructions, unlike other other agents we have dealt with in the past, have been adhered to. We also deal with them on lettings and the service is equally as good from this department also.

Really poor service from these guys today. Had a viewing booked for 5.30pm, myself and my boyfriend left work early and were stood on the street waiting. I called them to find out how long the agent would be and was told there was no appointment booked in and it might be because the property had been let yesterday. The guy I spoke too was very apologetic and not his fault as the appointment was booked with someone else. Ultimately, spent a week looking forward to the viewing, left work early and was left waiting on the street, massive waste of time and effort.
