Hanover Homes is the joining of two long established Brighton and Hove family Estate and Letting Agents.
In 2019 both companies decided to come together to create a brand-new estate agency situated in the heart of Hanover, a vibrant, colourful community in this popular area of Brighton and Hove.
We are a small, friendly, independent agency and we pride ourselves on giving a personal touch for all our customers.

Customer service this good is a rarity these days. Hanover were my rental agent for 11 years until I decided to sell. For rentals they were always reliable and responsive. Living out of area, I knew any issue arising would be dealt with promptly to the best of their ability. In recent years, Rebecca in the rental team has been superb.
Deciding to sell through Hanover was an obvious choice. There were a few twists and turns as there usually are, but Ian and Josh were with me on the rollercoaster.

We have been renting with Hanover for almost 5 years, starting with Wilkinsons before they merged. We have had nothing, but a great service from them throughout this time. Their responses were always very prompt and adequate, they were always available for anything we might need.
Our primary point of contact has been Rebecca, and she is simply fantastic with her genuine interest and being always straightforward and understanding. Nevertheless everyone else I've been dealing with has always been friendly, polite and easy going.
We have now moved out, but even at this point they have been there to support us with all questions and information to make the process as smooth as possible.
Since there are a lot of bad opinions on letting agents, I believe the people at Hanover Homes do need to be celebrated for the job they do.
I would strongly recommend them for anyone looking to rent out/rent a property, who is looking to strike the best balance for all parties involved.

We bought our home with Hanover Homes who were by far the friendliest and best agent in Hanover. The market was strange in 2020-21, due to stamp duty being waived, and the market being closed, so lots of demand. However, they do not engage in what we felt are strange sales tactics used by some other local agents, like 40 viewings in one weekend and unreasonable questions about our finances. Hanover Homes understood what we were looking for, didn't waste our time, and come across as transparent, honest and just as concerned about us (the buyer) as the seller (who they work on behalf of). We have used Hanover Homes as an agency to rent our home through and also to sell our home. They have always been incredibly professional, been genuine in their advice and pricings. As a rental agency they forwarded our tenants’ comments promptly and actioned them sometimes within hours. Always available to speak with and answered any questions quickly, nothing was too much trouble even when we required a few viewings. I cannot stress enough how AMAZING Hanover Homes were for the entire 2 years we rented with them. From beginning to end they have been nothing but helpful, responsive, professional and just downright brilliant! We always dealt with either Sophie or Rebecca, both of whom were so lovely. Anytime we needed maintenance on the house, they were on it and had someone round within one or two days depending on severity. They were fantastic throughout the pandemic and could not have been more understanding and helpful. We received almost all of our full deposit back at the end, and the deductions made were more than fair - something that is TOTALLY rare in any rental I have ever been in throughout my life. Honestly the best agency I have ever dealt with by far, if only they were able to let smaller properties I would have stayed with them for sure! Thank you so much Hanover Homes, I will 100% always recommend you to any students or anyone looking for larger properties as you have been nothing but amazing! A*!!!!!

I've been renting a flat through Hanover Homes for a year now, I wanted to leave sometime before reviewing as my last agents started off well and rapidly declined however Hanover Homes have been wonderful throughout and made the initial viewing and vetting process very simple, they communicated well with the landlord of any issues which are normally sorted very quickly. I have found them to be friendly and responsive to a little banter which makes them very approachable in the long run.
Ian initially showed me the flat as he is friends with my old landlord, he manages sales usually but was very accommodating of me, Rebecca and Sophie take care of renters and I have found them very helpful and usually quick to reply to emails. Clearly a good soild team.
I'm very happy in my little flat and hope to be here for many years to come.

We have rented a Student Property from this agency for the last year- if you are a student in Brighton please use this agency!!! It has been the most stress free year, all issues in the house have been solved within a week of reporting (by the lovely handyman Lou!) and we cannot fault this agency on any aspect of the service. We've had correspondence with Rebecca throughout- from the first initial viewing all the way through to receiving our deposits back and she has been so helpful and lovely throughout the year, responses are almost instant no matter what queries you have!
Cannot recommend this agency enough to students- a fantastic year and the best agency I have rented from as a student! Thank you for being so incredible for us this year.

I have just sold my flat with Hanover Homes, Vicky and Ian were superb throughout and I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about selling their home.
Within a day of it being of the market lots of viewings had been booked in and it took just ten days to get an offer at asking price.
Their service was professional and they were always on hand to help the chain move along smoothly. A really lovely local company to deal with, would recommend.

The valuation with Vicky was stand out. No showy wasteful reams of paper detailing previous sales or properties ‘I may be interested in viewing’. Just honest conversation about my property value and the offer of help should I need it for my purchase.
I was lucky my property sold quickly (within a week) and I am now in my forever home.

I'd steer clear of using Hanover Homes, awful customer service. Was laughed at by the team when attempting to solve problems which included my potential loss of deposit. Instead of helping i was told to contact the Landlord, who had previously told me that he paid HH to sort these problems. Not really sure what they do?
