Recently we were involved in the sale of our late brother/uncle's home in Brighton. Joe and Kate at Wheelers were extremely helpful and positive at all stages of the selling process. They guided us through the sad task in a professional and friendly manner. Their assistance was invaluable. Their excellent communication skills were especially needed as we live in Glasgow and they kept in regular contact with us.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Wheelers as an estate agent. In particular their knowledge of the Hanover area is extensive and gained by being there since 2001.

From our first meeting with Jo and Kate, we felt well supported. As first-time buyers, we were naturally nervous about the process and the decisions involved, but they guided us through each step and made everything much clearer. Wheelers are just brilliant. I had three valuations when selling my house and Joe really stood out for his honesty, non-hard sales pitch and knowledge of Hanover houses and the area. Having bought our property in Hanover through Wheelers in 2017, we were highly impressed with the service offered via Joe and team. When it came to moving on, we had no doubt about using there service again.
We feel an estate agent plays an important part in people's lives as ultimately it is their responsibility to select the right buyer which effectively influences the future journey for the vendor.
There are a lot of moving parts that all have to line up perfectly, particularly with a dependant onward purchase at a critical time in our lives. Joe and Kate delivered fantastically from start to finish, with a transparent and honest, no noise approach, that made us feel very much involved and part of the process.
Furthermore, as we were extremely local to their office we were able to stop by to have face to face catchups to align on all stages of the process, keeping everything running smoothly.
We would also advise to take their recommendation of Healys Solicitors, as a winning combo. Outstanding teams, combined!

I can not recommend Wheelers highly enough. I invited three estate agents to give a valuation and so pleased I chose Wheelers even though their valuation was not the highest it was clearly realistic given market dynamics at present. It took just three months from going live on the market to completion! The service throughout was second to none, I'm not sure how it could have been better. Joe and Kate are a superb team and managed every aspect of the process in such an expert and diligent manner. My advice is do not hesitate to go with Wheelers look no further!

I recently sold my flat through Wheelers Estate Agents and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, Joe and Kate were professional, proactive, and genuinely great to work with.
I had a few agents round before choosing, but what Joe said made the most sense. He was genuinely interested in the flat and took the time to explain the market and the pricing properly.
We had a few challenges along the way, and Kate — who mainly handled the sale — was amazing! I was really impressed with how much effort she put into looking into things when issues cropped up. I always felt they had the perfect balance of being on my side as the seller while still being fair to the buyer.
Their communication was consistently great. I never felt out of the loop, never had to chase, and it was clear they were doing everything they could to keep things moving. If Kate was away, Joe was fully up to date, so I always had someone who knew what was going on.
Whenever I mentioned to people that I was selling, I’d get the usual comments about solicitors and estate agents being useless — and every time, I found myself saying that thankfully this wasn't the case. Mine were genuinely helpful and nice people to deal with.

Wheelers are exceptional estate agents. We recently purchased a house they were representing, and the onward chain turned out to be remarkably complicated. If it hadn’t been for the outstanding work of Kate, one of Wheeler’s agents, I’m certain the chain would have collapsed.
Kate single-handedly took on tasks that really should have been handled by various conveyancing solicitors. She kept everyone calm, informed, and reassured throughout, all while remaining consistently cheerful, kind, and incredibly supportive.

The Wheelers team sold our house in Hanover and were fantastic, finding buyers in a difficult market with uncertainty about interest rates and the economy constantly in the news. In the latter stages of the sale when things got a little tense and quick, calm communication was required we were kept well informed of what was going on. We were in a chain or six (or maybe seven, I've tried to block it out of my mind) so they definitely earned their fee keeping in touch with various estate agents and solicitors. We had such a good experience with Wheelers - can't see how it could have been easier or more stress free. From our first meeting, Joe was completely down to earth, not at all like the pushy estate agent stereotype we were getting used to dealing with. He took the time to listen to what we were looking for and when it was apparent that that first property we viewed wasn't it, he didn't put in any hard sell or scare us into buying something unsuitable. When we then later found our dream house, thankfully on with Wheelers, we jumped at it and felt supported along the process by both Joe and Alison. They're just really honest, down-to-earth people, who seem to care about making the sale right for both their seller and the buyer. I can’t thank Joe & Alison enough for helping us through a really tough time. I lost my brother during the pandemic, he lived in an area miles away from us and we were at a loose end.
Calling Wheelers was honestly the luckiest thing that happened to me! I’ve sold plenty of properties in the past and with probate I had to get at least three quotes. I’m so glad that Wheelers were one of the four that I called.
It was emotional enough making the trip down to arrange my brothers affairs and clear his property without all the upselling, unemotional service you get from the so called ‘big guns!’
From the moment Joe walked in, he gave me honest, experienced advice, exactly what I’d been hoping for from the start, he really knows his stuff and this continued from the team throughout!
I really cannot recommend them enough, they overcame all the hurdles and kept us in the loop throughout, which made the process so much easier for us.

I first met Joe when I came down to Brighton to buy our first ever home. Joe was so friendly that I wondered what was wrong with him! Coming from London where a friendly smile is often a sign that someone wants something from you, I wasn't prepared!
Joe was so reassuring about the area (and what a wonderful area Hanover is), the schools, the park and crucially, the amazing pubs, that when we came to selling our house a few years later I didn't hesitate getting back in touch with him.
Selling our house wasn't a doddle, but Joe, Alison and Ronny go the extra mile. They make you feel like you're part of a family.
I think the best story I can tell about Joe, is that whenever he talks about his many reviews, he always gets hung on on the single negative review someone wrote! Frankly, a sea of negative reviews couldn't have persuaded me to choose another agent.

From the moment I received a call back from Wheelers, after I had completed an on-line viewing request pro forma, I was hectored to provide my maximum budget. I repeatedly said that I was looking for a two-bed terraced house in Brighton, and the maximum price I would be prepared to pay was very much dependant on my assessment of the property. The lady representative carried on bluntly and rudely demanding to know my maximum budget and stated it was company policy to be provided with this figure. I again said I did not have a maximum budget and had to terminate the call as the Wheelers representative just kept trying to bully me into providing a maximum budget figure and would not facilitate a viewing. Very unprofessional behaviour.

The one thing I really don't need when I'm looking for a house/flat is estate agents who continue to actively market a property and then smugly tell you they are not offering viewings because 'we have had so many offers on that property. And who then put the phone down on you when you try to ask why they continue to encourage people to contact them when the place is not longer for sale.
Wheelers is the best example yet of this that I have come across.
Seven out of ten estate agents are fine so I suggest you duck out of this one in the 30% bracket. Wheelers staff might like to remember that many of us rent places out as well and will make our choice of agent for that based on our overall experience.
