Hamptons have been absolutely fantastic. We have just got the keys to our new home and through the whole process Hamptons, and particularly Jan M, have been amazing. Jan has been our point of reference from our first viewing all the way to getting the keys and we could not have asked more from her. She replies to emails quickly and if she doesn’t know the answers then she gets the answers asap. When viewing properties, Jan took the time to get to know us and really understand what we are looking for in our new home. Instead of just sending over loads of listings that don’t resemble what we’re looking for (as some estate agents do), she made sure that she was contacting us with genuinely great properties that meet our specification and budget. Finding something that my partner approves of has been a mission, but Jans perseverance and patience has meant we achieved it! In future years, when it’s time to move on from this property, we will definitely be using Hamptons and specifically Jan again. After the past few months working with Jan, we consider her more of a friend now than just an agent who sold us a house once.<br><br>Having had an awful experience with another estate agency in Windsor, just down the road with yellow branding, it was so refreshing to have an experience that was genuinely fantastic. I would not recommend this agency to tenants.<br><br>After five years in the property, I was told that the landlord wanted the flat back because it was being sold. I therefore had to leave my home and incurred thousands of pounds in moving and associated costs.<br><br>I was interested in buying the flat myself and made an offer. It was rejected outright, with no counter offer or attempt to negotiate.<br><br>What happened next is deeply concerning.<br><br>The flat is no longer for sale. Instead, it has been relet to new tenants.<br><br>So, after five years as a tenant, I was required to uproot my life because I was told the property was being sold, yet it was subsequently withdrawn from sale and rented out again.<br><br>The timing also deserves scrutiny, given that this happened shortly before significant new protections for renters came into force.<br><br>Tenants deserve transparency when they are being forced to leave their home. I believe what happened here deserves proper investigation, and I will be taking the matter further.<br><br>I would not recommend this agency to anyone. My experience with Hamptons, was consistently extremely disappointing. As a tenant I paid my rent in full and on time every month, yet was met with poor communication, delays, and a general lack of responsiveness and accountability throughout my tenancy.<br><br>Requests were often ignored, responses (if any) came only after repeated chasing, and the only time the team seemed proactive was when asking for payments. Since vacating the property over two months ago, I’ve followed up multiple times regarding outstanding matters, only to be met with silence or delayed responses.<br><br>If you’re considering using Hamptons, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. In my experience, Lawsons estate agents provide a far more professional and efficient service — without the unnecessary stress and frustration.

Currently renting a property that Hamptons manage. They are very good at chasing tenants and putting tenants under pressure. They are however, useless in every other aspect of letting and property management. We’ve had nothing but issues from the second we got the keys then they have the nerve to request a review. Well, here you are! I would not recommend as a tenant. Can’t wait to get out of one of their rentals, I’m looking forward to serving notice when the time comes.

I am currently renting through Hamptons and the letting side was great, we got everything in order quickly and it was done, props to Ms Holt for that.<br>The horror of our tenancy began a week later when we realised our drain wasn’t working.<br>No one from Hamptons has any definitive answers or information. They decide to play these mind games with you where they send different individuals to “investigate”.<br>This issue has cost us an abhorrent amount of money and ruined our Christmas. They choose to respond selectively.<br>I was looking forward to Christmas in our new house and obviously they have already ruined that. Please do not let through Hamptons. Their sells department must be great but go through the rest of the reviews, only the sales bit is great. Their property management has caused us great emotional distress as well as forced us to live in an unliveable flat. If they compensate us for the amount of losses we’ve had and give us a reasonable amount of time to vacate the property, I will at the earliest possible chance. Pathetic service.<br><br>The excuse of this being the holiday period could have been used but I have given them fair notice of over 2 weeks prior to the period with several reminders that this period would be approaching and we would need it done prior to it.<br><br>To add to my review, someone could have died due to the negligence of the property managers, a heavy chandelier has fallen in the flat below us because of the damage. This could have literally killed someone

We were fortunate to have an agent friend experienced, but no longer working in the area, who gave a shortlist of three agents they felt we might consider for the sale of our porperty near Windsor. We chose Nick at Hamptons as we felt he had a a depth of experience and a straightforwardness that we felt was genuine. Plus the network and resouces of a large agency.<br>The sale took a while (unlucky timing to market!) and yet they kept plugging away on social media etc and Nick was available for regular consultation and reviews.<br>Once the sale was underway we were surprised to find the Office employed a "chaser" in the form of Jackie who was brilliant at her chasing job and as intermediary, and giving updates on the state of play - to a successful conclusion.

Rented a property through Hamptons during which time all the maintenance was never carried out so lived with mould and damp on the kitchen ceiling. Not to mention the broken washing machine and hob.<br>When the tenancy came to an end they were unhelpful and rude and difficult to get in contact with. Would never recommend.

The letting side was perfect; Martine had been nothing but great and helpful and understanding.<br><br>Nightmare starts after the tenancy began; virtually zero support from the property manager; had a blocked drain and it took them over 3 days to send a plumber to sort it out.<br><br>I did send a detailed e-mail about the inconsistencies with the inventory, but was sent from one department to another.<br><br>Finally checked out and same items which were pointed out at the beginning of tenancy being discussed again. They have a habit of asking for same thing 3 or 4 times.<br><br>It doesn't seem like you are dealing with a company, rather disconnected and disoriented individuals.<br><br>I feel for the landlords, perhaps this is Hamptons modus operandi, dont provide property management services, tenant will move out and they can charge fees from landlords again.<br><br>Update: as indicated in the response from owner, I did send an e-mail with my contact details, it has been over 3 months and no contact. I really wish there was a way to remove all stars; as they do not deserve even one.

From the moment a lovely member of staff Maxine did the first viewing they made the whole matter very hassle free. Dealing with Hamptons was one of the worst experiences I have gone through renting a property.<br><br>Their email system did not work at one point, 3 times I sent my tax returns and then they wanted them a 4th time.<br><br>The vetting procedure is awful , having connected my bank to their system to check income, it was unable to obtain the info so I was requested to send statements. Sent Accountants details to then be asked for them again.<br><br>Was assured several times over probably around 15 phone calls (most from them) and over a dozen emails in a week it was nothing to worry about. Eventually after they asked I prove I had at least £79k of savings and make 12 months worth of payments in a 4 month period I called it a day.<br><br>To add insult to injury, their BACs system takes 5 working days to return money, not sure where they bank but most genuine institutions have the money in your account within minutes of making payment.<br><br>Vetting is understandable, however I’m sure it was only a matter of days before they requested a copy of my health report from my doctor or blood type.

Rented me a premium apartment, without doing any due diligence, landlord had outstanding debt of with utilities provider for 18 months prior to my tenancy.<br><br>Did not provide mailbox key for weeks after taking occupancy, so couldn’t access warning letters.<br><br>Utility provider cut off supply was without heating or hot water for 6 weeks during covid as result of their incompetence.<br><br>Nearly 3 months since tenancy ended, have received £0 deposit yet despite 98% of the deposit being uncontested. Have gone out of their way to delay, claiming for items not mentioned in check out, send TDS the full amount to adjudicate for only a tiny claim.<br><br>Absolute disgrace.

Excellent communications from the office staff; I always knew I'd get a swift and helpful response from Victoria or Emilia to any query.<br>Area for improvement: it would be helpful to have a little more information when starting the rental than merely a quick hand-over of keys. To take just one example: a quick explanation of the little black toggle on the key ring (which opens the gate from the housing block to the shopping centre) would have been most useful!

Terrible experience with Hamptons of Windsor.<br>All was going well, we were informed that our offer on a purchase of a Hamptons listed property had been accepted. The next day, we were told another bidder had come in with a higher offer and we were gazumped. From then on, the communication (or lack of) from Hamptons went from bad to worse. Trying to get hold of Nick (the "Sales Manager") was impossible. We were in a position to increase our offer to the asking price, yet could not get through to Nick who was handling this property. Multiple phone calls and messages through the Windsor office to ask him to urgently call us.<br>We then found out the property was listed online as "under offer", despite our intentions of beating the requested price.<br>Dealing with Nick is something we will not forget. Perhaps some training in his communication style is required.<br>I would highly recommend people look at other estate agents in the area.
