We have completed our sale with Hughes today and they have been fantastic every step of the way.
10/10 for communication, Knowledgeable, helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with.
Lewis valued my property he was great and quoted very competitively. I called the office with a query following the valuation. I spoke to Meg who was a delight and I thought it would be lovely to deal with somebody who was so cheery even at 9:30am. That call confirmed I was going with Hughes and I have never once regretted it. Every call with Meg since has been a joy, I have never had to chase a response from Hughes. Emails are always answered promptly, they answer the phone and act on things when they say they will which made the process run smoothly. Meg has helped me with finding an electrician/plumber, answered questions re my purchase - even though they are only dealing with my sale, guided us through the solicitors process and just been a dream to sell with. The photographer made the house look its best and the marketing package and strategy was brilliant. Everyone I’ve dealt with at Hughes has been great.
Meg has handled our sale from start to finish and has been an absolute gem. She is super efficient, professional, an excellent communicator and just a really wonderful person to deal with daily. I can’t recommend Hughes enough.

We had been on the market with another agent, sold STC twice but unfortunately both lots of buyers pulled out (through no fault of that agency) - we decided at the end of our contract to try Hughes, we liked their more modern approach and we liked the advertisement on social media.
The whole process from the moment we signed the contract was a massive go slow. Lewis and the team required constant chasing otherwise it would be weeks of not hearing from them.
Lewis specifically did not like his staff members being chased, whether this was via email or phone call. So much so that when we mildly criticised their customer service, he threatened to terminate our contract. He rang my mobile from a number that was not his to make this threat, his tone was rude and condescending, which we found very unprofessional to say the least.
We regularly got the feeling throughout our experience that Hughes prioritised the buyers and not us as the vendors (despite us being the paying client of Hughes).
We have recently come to be in a situation of owning a second property which we need to sell. We will be using another agent that was in our chain, who were far superior in terms of communication and professionalism.

We put our house on the market in March 2025, with a high street estate agents and then viewed a property on the market with yourselves, fell in love with it and had our offer accepted!
After many months and 2 buyers dropping out of our sale we decided to put our house on the market with you as your whole team had been so helpful, reassuring and knowledgeable.
You sold our house before it even went to market!! And 2 months later we are now in our dream home.

Outstanding experience selling our home!
We approached Lewis as he sold us our first home back in 2019. After full renovation we decided it was time to move on. He gave us a comprehensive valuation and lots of advice on staging our home.
We took this on board and he swiftly arranged very professional media and photos with Mark who really showed our house at its best, and allowed Lewis to not only market our house on Rightmove/zoopla but also social media.
Lewis’ team arranged 28 viewings over 2 days which Lewis led. This made the processes low stress and hassle for me, and led to 8 offers over asking price! We sold our house for significantly more than we expected to.
Following this, Meg has been outstanding and her help has made the moving process much less stressful. She was always quick to communicate and helped with chasing the solicitors.
We highly recommend using this estate agent. They’ve been wonderful and we are so glad that we chose to use them!

However right from the first meeting his approach was very straight forward and explained everything I needed to know. From start to finish the team at Hughes have been amazing. Lewis valued our property and got it on the market within a few days. The valuation and offers exceeded our expectations and the handling of the viewings by Lewis made it so much easier. Unfortunately our original buyers dropped out after several weeks, but the lovely Meg negotiated for us and we accepted an offer from a different buyer on the same day! Wow what can I say! Hughes estate agent sold our property for us and we have had the most amazing experience - Lewis sold her us in under 2 weeks on the market, his marketing approach is just amazing and I honestly feel with anyone else the process may have been a lot longer! Lewis also knew it was important for us to find the right area with needing to apply for secondary school for our daughter in September and he did his absolute best to find us houses in the right area although we wasn’t successful in getting some of them he tried his very best which shows how committed he is!
Once we had found out forever home Meg was absolutely key to getting our sale through swiftly, and even though there a few tiny bumps in the road to try and drag things out Meg was committed to be on top of everyone to get it all moving swiftly. We recently saw our dream home on rightmove that was listed with Lewis, and I’m writing this less than two weeks later with an offer accepted on the home we wanted and our current property sold for over asking price also with Lewis. I would never have believed that this process would be so straight forward, fast and easy. Lewis gives you his direct number and is available day and night for advice, reassurance and is unbelievably responsive. His knowledge of the market and experience is evident in every conversation you have. After having been through this process in the past I was almost reluctant to move again as it has always been stressful, waiting days for responses to emails, being passed around an office of people when you want an answer and so on, but not with Lewis.
