Absolutely shocking experience with CJ Hole Downend. I viewed a property, completed all the requested checks with the person on the phone, and promptly sent over proof of funds a few days later and everything else they asked for. After that, I heard absolutely nothing back. I emailed four times and called twice trying to get an update. Not a single response to any of my emails, and no meaningful communication whatsoever. Then, without any notification or courtesy update, I noticed the property had been marked as Sold STC. If the property had gone to another buyer, that's fair enough, but completely ignoring a serious applicant who has taken the time to provide all the required documents is incredibly unprofessional. Basic communication and customer service seem to be lacking. A complete waste of time and a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend CJ Hole Downend based on how I was treated.... Bad experience here. I have been waiting for the return of deposit since 08/09/2024 (check-out date), at time of writing the date is 04/12/2024. Despite asking for updates and calling, I have not received any response from this agency for 2+ weeks. IMO, there are many other options in Bristol worth trying before Chase Buchanan Downend....
