I approached JMG Property Services about managing my flat in Feltham. From the outset I made it clear that my tenant is long-standing, cordial, and cooperative — even open to discussing a new lease and rent adjustment. Despite this, JMG made presumptuous assumptions about “difficulties” with the tenancy and declined to take on the property, framing the situation as if it were contentious when it is not. As a landlord based overseas, I was seeking professional guidance on either retaining the tenant or proceeding with a standard Section 21 process if needed — something any competent letting agent should be familiar with. What’s most disappointing is that JMG’s public statements claim to support all landlords, whether first-time or experienced, yet in practice they seemed hesitant to work with a property previously managed by the landlord directly. This is inconsistent with what they advertise on their own website. Overall, I found their approach cautious to the point of being unhelpful. While polite in communication, they did not inspire confidence in their ability to handle real-world tenancy negotiations or challenges, which is exactly when landlords need an agent to step up.... Best of the best! I found them by chance while walking around Feltham trying to find a rent,and God sent in my way Mr.Peter. We can't thank him enough for all his work and support that he gave to us. Peter Agent was not good, deposit was returned due to change in guarantor. Edited: I want to update you on behalf of the reply: Yes, you made an effort, but you haven't been in our position. We failed to fulfil the requirements. 1: we were new here, and the salary slip was 15 days. Now we have a much better salary slip. 2: guarantor, you haven't shared the requirements. I thought businessmen would be enough. But you never mentioned it. We change the guarantor, and it will cost more, not even in the policy. As per newcomers, it should be mentioned these points. I started using JMG in 2002 for a tenant for a property, I had just bought in the area. Tenant just left after I have sold the house that's 20years plus , During that time we have gone though some issues of getting the rent from the tenant but always done by Peter and Matt in a way that got the results and we ended up with a paid up and happy tenant who did not want to go, any issues they were resolved amicably with the tenant and any query's Peter or Matt would resolve and the annual return was handled by the third member of this team Mats wife .
