We worked with several estate agents before, but Alex Wilson at John Hilton really stood out. He consistently went above and beyond, liaising with solicitors and keeping in daily contact. Without his extra effort, we truly might not have reached the exchange stage. His boss Marius was also fantastic in the whole process of selling our property, always providing same day feedback on viewings. Prior to John Hilton we had used other estate agencies to try to sell our old property and purchase our new one, including Brand Vaughn, Leaders, Cubitt & West and Fox & Sons, who I have to say were all substandard in comparison. John Hilton truly was a cut above the rest. Plus Alex Wilson as mentionned previously, really is outstanding at his job, thorough, meticulous, personable, a great negotiator and incredibly dedicated and hard working. Thank you, Simon, you supported me through what was a very stressful period and I am extremely grateful. All this when you had suffered a family bereavement yourself. You were always so patient and encouraging. Alex played his part in the sale too, showing countless people round. I had previously been listed with two other agents in the village with no outcome and Hilton's took on my sale when I was becoming very anxious about it all. What a pleasure!
We had to sell our mum's property for her to go in a care home. The experience could have been horrendous. Luckily we had Alex to help us though the whole thing. He couldn't have been more helpful. I dealt with the Rottingdean office for the sale of my 2-bedroom flat which has now exchanged. The staff in this office are easy to deal with, return calls, and follow up emails.
In a difficult market, it took a few months to find a good quality buyer at an acceptable price, but Alex secured the sale and kept me up to date along the way. I dealt with Alex throughout, which provides the continuity that I value.

We recently sold our property through John Hilton’s in Rottingdean and can’t praise the team highly enough.
The sale from start to finish was predominantly managed by Alex Wilson, with the support of the wider team.
Our ongoing purchase was complex, with a relocation to the South West included. Alex took a lot of the strain away the situation, managing expectations and resolution of issues with our sale, allowing us to focus on our purchase, new schools, etc.
You sense there is in-depth experience and knowledge, which naturally brings trust in their guidance throughout the journey.
I’ve sold properties in the past where once a buyer is identified the agent sits back and it’s down to the seller and solicitor to get it across the line. Alex however was in constant communication with all parties and applied the right amount of pressure when required to ensure not only the chain completed, but also kept all involved informed, which in turn reduced stress.
To summarise, a highly professional outfit, made up of a team of warm, calm and skilled individuals who seriously know their stuff.

We went with John Hilton for both our sale and purchase and everything has been great from start to finish.
Our contact was Simon throughout the process.
For our sale, the photo shoot for the website was arranged within 2 days, and the listing was live before we knew it. We were lucky, the first viewer became our buyer, so the whole process took about 8 weeks to complete. Simon was in constant communication with all parties and never lost his cool even when things got a bit complicated. He made sure we all made it to completion before being hit by stamp duty increase.

I hate estate agents as a rule but I have to say John Hilton have been the best. Alex Wilson was the greatest support throughout the who long winded tortuous experience, offering support, knowlege and encouragement the whole way through. My onward chain broke down 4 times but still he persevered going over and beyond in my opinion. I could of given up without him. But we exchanged today after 8 months from the original offer and I am soooo happy!!!!! I can not recommend John Hilton enough and Alex in particular.

My experience with the people of John Hilton in Rottingdean has only been a positive one. Alex Wilson was especially helpful and very supportive when things didn’t go as planned. He kept us informed at every opportunity and even on his days off. Once, he even contacted me when he was on holiday. He, and his colleagues have had a very hard job with our property chain, twice it looked like it had fallen apart but they persevered and we got there in the end. I don’t normally have many good things to say about estate agents, but this group has surpassed my expectations.
