We knew Helen was the one when she came and did the valuation on our house. She was professional, seemed honest and thorough (told us all the things we needed to get the house ready). Nevertheless, when I called the other competitor to tell them we were going with Leaders, they wooed me by sharing statistics (which I now believe must have been fabricated.) We did not like the vibe we were getting from the other lettings agents. They were nonchalant and evasive when we asked questions. When they finally found a tenant, and we told them we did not want to use the no deposit option, they told us the tenants may not want to rent the property again. We waited for a response; however, a week later we still had not received any updates from them. With my tail between my legs, I called Helen, and she graciously accepted us as clients. Helen, offered to pick up the keys from the competitor - very gutsy! Within two days she found us tenants, and worked assiduously to ensure the property was ready for the tenants. With Helen, I felt like she actually cared about finding tenants for us. She went out of her way to ensure the property was ready in time for occupancy. We are now in the United States, and even with a five hour time difference, Helen always responded to my questions in a timely manner. She even gave me her number, so I could contact her outside office hours. You really cannot ask for more than that! If you are looking for a professional, diligent, honest and thorough, lettings agent, I highly recommend Helen at Leaders Gosport. She is the best!... Read more

Very professional presentation at viewing. Jess sells her branch very well. The market was slow at time of sale but they managed to get an offer on the house in the 8 week contract. Only draw back is sometimes it’s hard to speak to the branch but calls then go through to head office where you can leave a message and get a call back but, if the calls where transferred to their mobiles this would help a lot in my opinion. I rented a property via Leaders Gosport and I was really happy with them from the outset. Other agents just didn’t seem that interested in getting back to me when making enquiries (despite being a single professional with a decent budget and all the right credentials). Leaders scheduled a viewing straight away on the day and time that I had asked, I met Chloe Pritchard who was the single point of contact from start to finish and treated me like a customer, not an “applicant”. I really liked the way it was just a case of “pop an email saying you’d like to let the property” instead of filling out some stupid enquiry form like other agencies. Within two hours Chloe informed me the landlord had accepted me subject to referencing and the property was reserved for me the same day. The onboarding tool is great it shows you what they want from you without having to chase the agent. The referencing was easy and fast and I didn’t have to submit a million other things. Leaders kept me informed right up to the move date and even let me sign the contract with the landlord two weeks in advance (something agents normally refuse to do until on the day in my experience). On move day it was just a case of popping in to pick up the keys and everything was done. The inventory and check in report was done without me having to be there. Overall the experience was excellent, Chloe was a really professional person to deal with and as a side note I love the online payments portal meaning I can reconcile and pay my rent by card - I absolutely despise direct debits and standing orders giving people access to plunder your account. This facility lets me stay in control which is great. I will definitely be using Leaders from now on.... Read more

The process was an absolute war and dragged on for months and months thanks to some absolutely inept solicitors - but Leaders were genuinely a shining light throughout. Avoid Leaders at all cost!! Me and my fiancé have been renting with leaders for just over a year and have had nothing but issues. We moved in end of November 2020 and by the second week of December I was admitted into hospital with a bad chest infection due to our heating not working and leaders dragging their feet with getting it fixed. We have had 6/7 months of no working bathroom light or extraction fan which turned out it just needed a fuse changing but they didn't even think to look into that. We have had mice in the loft and the exterminators out every month or so to check it as there was over 100 living up there. Our shower has only just been replaced even though I put in about it being broken months ago. We also have a mold problem where we had no fan and has cause my asthma to be bad. In September they said they were happy for us to renew our contract but wanted to raise our rent by about £30 a month and when we pointed out all the issues we have been having and the effects it's had on my health they decided to send us a section 21 notice just 9 days later now leaving us homeless while we wait for our new property which is being adapted as I have become disabled in recent months. I also believe our landlord just wanted the extra money to pay for his brand new 21 plate car. I would never use leaders again. They also never bother responding to emails and when you call them and get told you'll get a call back that day your still chasing them 3 days later.... Read more

I had a difficult start to my ‘let only’ tenancy in Gosport, sourced through Leaders. Turned out the landlord’s representations about their property - its being cleaned between tenants etc. - were far from reality when I actually moved in. And some electrics were in a parlous state and the washing machine plumbing was awry. A lot of ‘let only’ agencies would have washed their hands of the situation. However, Leaders felt a strong duty of care toward me as a tenant they’d placed and didn't abandon me, instead they went above and beyond financial or contractual obligations in bringing their influence to bear on the landlord, and helping my negotiations with him until everything was sorted out. Well where do i start, this review is more focused on certain individuals than as a company. I am a big believer of buying from people, i would much rather spend a bit more for better quality of service. Two people i would like to say massive thank you, and huge love and respect for are Jess the senior sales manager and Charles the mortgage advisor. Jess is that person you want in your life to always make you smile no matter how you are feeling, every time i called to speak with Jess, she was always so happy and energetic (not in annoying way) she made me smile! Always happy to take my call, answer any questions i had, no matter how annoyingly small they was and i always felt happy after getting off the phone. Charles, what can i say apart from this guy is the guru of support and knowledge when it comes to mortgages. He had great patience, confidence in every answer he gave me and was a pleasure to talk with. Both Jess and Charles combined is everything you want when purchasing a house. I have not had an easy life, i suffer from Bi-polar and BPD which if you know anything about are very difficult mental health conditions to live with. If i dont even like the tone of some ones voice and feel they are being rude and abrupt it can set my head off. Neither Jess or Charles know this about me and why should they, they both treated me with nothing but respect, very professional and at all times making me feel like an individual. With their great support, mannerisms and caring nature. I can honestly say, if it wasnt for both of them i would not of bought my house. Unfortunately we did have to pull out of our purchase due to reason out of there control, which was very stressful for myself and my partner. I was going to purchase a property through Leaders earlier this year but unfortunately the sale fell through due to the tenants refusing to leave. I'm giving them 4 stars because the letting agents who were managing this weren't able to give me tangible updates so I had to pull out. However, the Sale's team and in particular, Val was amazing throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend her enough. She was understanding, professional and tried to keep me in the loop as much as possible. I would recommend Val and the Sale's team to anyone trying to buy a house. Property had previously been let by Leaders and was then put on the market for sale with them. From start to finish Jessica at the Gosport office and her team have been great. Setting up the contract, with a favourable commission rate was easy, great photos and marketing. We were kept up to date regularly as to viewings and achieved a sale very quickly. From there We were still regularly updated with the process and used their recommended local solicitors. Along with Jessica we also had a dedicated after sales team member who liased with both ours and the purchasers solicitors ensuring a smooth transaction. Exchange now done with a completion date set and still Jessica is advising us of events.
