Hugo has been fantastic throughout the entire letting process. He was polite, attentive, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. I really appreciated how quickly he turned around every request and how clearly he explained each step of the process. The property was listed quickly and let just as fast.
On a personal level, I enjoyed our football chats, it showed he took the time to connect with us as people, not just clients, which made the experience even better.
We also dealt with Amy, who was equally helpful. She answered telephone queries promptly and explained everything clearly.

Dear Tony,
I have dealt with Hugo over the past 4 weeks since we arrived in the UK in relation to finding a property for us. From walking in off the street and into the Leaders offices, Hugo greeted me with a warm, friendly and welcoming presence.This instantly made things easy and created a desire to want to deal with him and Leaders.
From looking at the property to all the ins and outs of references, ongoing communications and the setting up of it all, I found Hugo to be very professional and knowledgable. Where he didn’t know of things I asked he sort it for me.
Hugo’s pleasant manner, humour and warm personality have always been present in our dealings together.
The only bit of constructive feedback I would give would be to communicate all of the little details, which can get overlooked when someone is brand new to a country.
Oh, and that he is a West Ham fan!
I would recommend dealing with Hugo and Leaders.

We rented a property through Leaders in Emsworth and I couldn’t fault the process from start to finish. Amy in particular was absolutely excellent throughout and couldn’t have done any more to make the move a smooth and easy process. It was great to have someone who kept in constant contact at every step of the process and no query or question was to big for her to deal with, she would always give us a call and let us know the answer same day. Amy was excellent at taking us through the process methodically and letting us know where we were at and what we needed to do at each step. She was friendly, upbeat, helpful and extremely organised. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her, or Leaders too anyone I know. From the very first property visit with Amy, she made things easy and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. This is an update to my earlier review, I have had the pleasure of dealing with Hugo in the last few months finding a new tenant for my property.
Hugo is extremely professional and courteous . He has worked diligently to ensure a new tenant has been signed up. I always get a phone call and regular updates , he has worked extremely hard this time round overcoming issues with tenant referencing, credit checks etc.He has also shown great commitment working whilst sick, not something common anymore in the workforce .I would give Hugo 5 stars and would look to do business with him in the future.
I dealt with Jessica following a terrible experience with another letting agent. ( I am a landlord)
I have given Jessica 5 stars for the following reasons.
- Excellent knowledge of the current rental market resulting in an accurate valuation
- A strong customer base , the property was rented out after the first set of viewings .
- Excellent communication, this is such an important and often understated quality in a good estate agent. All queries dealt with in a timely manner and I GET A PHONE CALL BACK I cannot stress enough how poor other agents are at calling back.
- I have spoken to Jessica later than the working day, this shows the commitment and drive of a great agent.
- I haven't been a landlord since 2006 and alot of the legislation has changed and I found some of this somewhat confusing initially. Jessica has been incredibly patient and helpful and has organised things such as cleaning the property and an additional electrical inspection ( both not yet part of our contract)
- The property is a family property preciously owned by my mother who is terminally ill, during the switch of land deeds and myself taking over the estate Jessica has been extremely kind and helpful to my mother. Interpersonal genuine soft skills go along way. ( My mother speaks very highly of Jessica and her professionalism).
I would be surprised if Jessica is not a branch manager in 5 years.( Leaders put this in place or someone else will).

Been without hot water in the bath/shower since Friday, only today has someone gone out to look at fixing it, got told the contractor may not be able to go in because there’s dogs, then on the ring doorbell we’ve seen them going in and out 8 minutes later (no communication to say wether it’s been fixed or not), got home from work and it’s still not repaired and no one’s contacted us to let us know when it will be fixed it’s constantly us chasing, not acceptable having to bath a year old baby by having to fill the bath with the kettle.
Now been told it should be tomorrow and hopefully landlord accepts the work needing to be done! Not fair at all. Should not take 5 days to get this resolved.

We have recently moved into Emsworth and have to say that Hugo Tansley has been a star. He always (even when feeling unwell) had a smile on his face, was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to make sure not only that we found a property we liked but that any problems were sorted as soon as possible.
Any contact we have had with other members of staff have also been very positive. We would certainly recommend Leaders at Emsworth.
The only niggle we had was with an automated system that promised to make our transfer to facilities like Council tax, water companies etc seam free. Even though we did not give permission our gas and electricity was changed to another company and took a lot of hassle to get it changed back to the company we wanted. we would not recommend this system to anyone.

Now five months down the line with our rental. Would have been longer but for the first lockdown when we were unable to view and take on the property we knew would suit us perfectly. Lisa Wallage was extremely professional in her presentation of the two properties we initially viewed, and she too instinctively knew that this seafront flat would be the right location for us. That good experience has continued in Alex Mihall's extremely capable hands, where she has dealt professionally and calmly with any teething problems that have arisen since we've been in residence. I have rarely come acros such unprofessional ignorant and rude behaviour. My partner popped into the Emsworth branch to request a viewing and she was told she needed a credit check just to view. The older woman shouted at her because her mask had slipped. I then went in and was told that credit checks were required to view and this had been the case for 10 years - this is a lie! She also shouted at me for stepping on the Covid Line - Yeah!! If you can avoid this joke of an estate agents please - do I made several complainst to head office and theyre cleraly nor bothered - this is definitley the scumbag end of Estate Agency - avoid at all costs!!!

Charis Henn and Tyler Downie provided a superb supportive and professional service through-out the period they were selling my property. It was an incredibly difficult time in the market spanning Brexit and the COVID emergency but through-out they kept me fully informed, worked incredibly hard to hold and repair a long chain together, personally helped push the sales process through and were supportive and caring in their service. Would NOT recommend them to anyone. The service we have received during the tenancy is shocking. Our stuff has been ruined by mould which was in the property BEFORE we moved in and the stuff is only 3 months old. I also have asthma and they do not seem to care that this is causing health problems. Many people I know have stated the same thing about how bad the company is. They do not get back to us when they said they would. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
