As someone who works in car sales, I fully understand the pressures that come with delivering a smooth customer experience—whether that’s dealing with brokers or the clients themselves. So stepping into the world of property buying for the first time, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Especially after dealing with a few estate agents beforehand who unfortunately left a bit of a sour taste.
That’s why I genuinely have to say how impressed and content I am with the service I received from the Lux Homes team. Buying a home is a huge and sometimes overwhelming process, but Bella and Adam made the entire journey feel so much more manageable. Whether it was over the phone or me being that slightly annoying buyer asking to view the flat one more time (or two!), they were always welcoming, patient, and made me feel completely at ease.

Sophie @ Lux - where do we start! We were first time buyers, and for that reason we were relatively naive to the process of buying our first home. Sophie was extremely supportive, from booking our first viewing through to completion yesterday - always ready to reply to our (many!) questions and queries via phone and email.
Sophie has a calm and collected nature which is exactly what we needed as first time buyers, but when it came to crunch time and completing our purchase Sophie was nothing short of fantastic - even to say that is an understatement! Without Sophie's experience and genuine care for her client's we wouldn't have been able to move into our dream first home, after what became a lengthy and at times frustrating transaction. Despite some difficult hurdles within the chain, we didn't once lose faith in Sophie's ability to get the job done!
Thank you isn't enough to show how grateful we are to Sophie, and her brilliant team at Lux for helping us every step of the way. If anyone is looking to sell/purchase a home we will have no doubt in our mind in suggesting that Lux is the best place to start!

Branch manager "Sophie Andrews" is simplely the best Estate agent I have ever worked with. She is committed, maintains communications regularly, act as a bridge between both Seller & Buyers effectively. In one word, if you are thinking to buy a property, just reach out to her and/or Lux Homes, I felt being Branch manager, she still works as sales person, mediator and time to time an admin too :). Stop doing all the work Sophie, lets others do some work too.
I also go a chances or two to communicate with other employees of Lux and found they are very professional & active. Overall a great Estate agent to deal with.

We bought a new property. Our experience with Lux Homes Estate Agents has been deeply disappointing. The completion date was initially promised for October, but we were only able to move in March. Throughout the process, they failed to provide an exact timeframe, which caused significant frustration and uncertainty.
Additionally, we were assured that the building area would have 24-hour CCTV surveillance and a secure car park gate. Unfortunately, neither of these promises have been fulfilled, raising serious concerns about safety and security.
To make matters worse, the condition of the property upon moving in was unacceptable. I will attach pictures to show how the interior looked just days after we moved. The current situation has become a disaster, affecting not only us but also all our neighbors.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this agency, as our experience with Lux Homes Estate Agents Hornchurch has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
We were promised many things that were supposed to be delivered, but nothing has been fulfilled to this day. One of the biggest issues was accepting the solicitors recommended by Sophie. These solicitors dragged the process for over six months before setting a completion date. Recently, one of their solicitors contacted us, informing us that the process had not been fully completed or legally finalised after 2 years.
In addition to these legal delays, we were extremely disappointed with the poor quality assurance standards. At the handover, we were shocked to see a complete lack of quality control, and the attached pictures speak for themselves. When we received the keys, we were disgusted by the lack of cleanliness—the entire place was a total mess, with construction dust and debris left behind, showing their complete indifference.
Moreover, the snag list has not been completed, and the reported issues remain unresolved to this day. This experience has shown us a lack of professionalism and reliability, which is why we do not recommend this agency to anyone looking for a smooth and stress-free property transaction.

I went to view a property which the price on the market was £230.000-£240.000
Okay I did view the flat and I give offer of £228.000 an then the offer was rejected and then I give £ 233.000 and then Sophie give me a call a she said if you offer 235.000 the flat with be yours and I said to her if not do not come back and ask for more because that’s the maximum we can offer so me and my partner decided to give what she asked for once I call her I said okay we offer £235.000 she said I will call you back it was Friday,
I did wait wait wait but she never called me back so I called her and one of her colleagues said she will call you back.she didn’t
I called back again on Saturday and I been told she will call me back.she didn’t
I called her on Monday and she finally answer saying that the offer is rejected again because the owner needs maximum price which was £ 240.000but actually on Friday she forgot that se said offer £235.000 and the flat is yours,anyway .
I said to her okay we can’t make it.
After 1 hour this lovely and professional Sophie called me back saying that she did her best and now the offer is again accepted ,congratulations
Then straight away she asked me via email for more details and to instruct the solicitor in 48 hours and I did.
My broker was working on the case and I paid the solicitor 300£ to start his job.
So all seems to be okay when one beautiful Friday this clever lady give give me a call back saying that the offer is again rejected because somebody offered more So your offer is rejected. I was very surprised and shocked too because I thought she’s called me to ask me any further information because we already start everything and the offer was finally accepted but then four days later she didn’t feel ashamed to tell me that they give it to somebody else and I told her what if two weeks later I come back saying that I will offer more than the person would you tell him that? Sorry we don’t care that you have starts all the procedures to buy this flat but now we’re gonna go give it to her because she gave more .
She is very unprofessional and I said to her I don’t care about the flat because there is plenty of flats around as long as I’ve got the money and the right to buy. I can buy it even better than that but what I cared is the way she played with us without feeling a shame and without even saying sorry because we already paid £300 solicitor and the broker was working hard with the banks and with the papers for 3-4 days. Please be careful they not professional . after that, I called a few other agencies which I viewed a few flats with them and I did like as well to ask them if the flats are still available and they said sorry somebody already gave an offer and I asked them can I not give me more than they gave so the offer will be not accepted? They said sorry once somebody’s offer is accepted we can’t take any other offer so SOPYE when an offer is made and accepted you cannot give it to somebody else.
Also I had a call few weeks after threading me if I don’t remove the review, she will send me to the court ????can you imagine

Don’t know where to really begin.. in May we decided to put our property on the market with a different agency as it was a lot cheaper but it was the worst decision ever. After a couple of months we were desperate and we lost our hope so we quickly had to move with another agency. After reading the amazing reviews from LuxHomes on Google I just thought why not give them a call and see what they think. That call has literally changed the game! I had a conversation with Sophie and I can honestly say that she is hands down the best sales manager I have ever come across! The property was on the market within a couple of days and sold in a month! I can’t recommend Sophie enough, very quick at replying to all my emails, always made sure I would be informed about every step, very patient as I am a very fussy “client”. Initially I really trusted this company
I had been with purple bricks and have some health conditions so struggled to manage doing my own viewings. I was getting atleast 3 vieweings with Pbricks and some offers as well. I really believed the agent when they said they would take all the stress off my hands and i should switch to them. Enrolling with them I had no issues, they said I could use the pictures I had with purple bricks and we wouldn't need to take new photos.
Fast forward 6 or 7 weeks later, my property was not been marketed, not one viewing had happened, the main agent ignored my calls and texts, they refused the pics they Initially said they would despite all of this i really wanted to still continue to sell with them due to my illness however they clearly just didn't want to sell my property.I asked to get photographers out but wouldn't do that either, took 1 person to view at a time not agreed with the tenants, it was not great service at all.
I wish in hindsight I had not been so trusting and left purplebricks as they had suggested. Yes they offered me a discounted price, however the service was shambolic. I get they are motivated my money however morally they treated me wrong.
I can see when they get negative feedback they try and put the person down like it's untrue, which is very unprofessional and speaks volumes about how business is conducted. Negative feed back should be taken onboard and used to improve. In my opinion their approach to vulnerable customers need to be improved. I am not someone that usually reviews unless I feel it would be either great or in this case the opposite. I'm sure they are fab to customers they can make a lot of money from.

Lux are a fantastic agent if you get the right agent Alex, who’s the assistant manager at Hornchurch is really good and keeps you up to date with everything, Lewis who started the process and then left the business was equally great. Unfortunately some of the other people who we have dealt with really haven’t been of the same standard. Generally okay but not the best we have encountered. Yes they secured a sale but at £94k below what the property was first valued at.

Tell me someone that doesn’t find moving stressful?? Moving with the support of Sophie was second to none and an experience I won’t ever forget.

Awful service purchasing a property from a seller using Lux Homes as their estate agents. Would avoid at all costs again. Great if you’re the seller it would seem as they’ll just do whatever you tell them without following ethics or a moral code (sending us a very intimidating email on completion day demanding thousands of pounds unrelated to our sale that we had never heard about before) but also very misleading and would tell us what we want to hear to get the sale then it all changed later on and left us out of pocket. If you have special requirements do not use this estate agent. I have a disabled daughter and so am looking for a home that meets her needs. When I tried to book a viewing I was told by Sophie at the Hornchurch branch that I had viewed a number of properties. I was unaware there was a limit on the number of properties a buyer can view. Very unhelpful and uninformed of the needs of disabled customers. Avoid this disabled unfriendly estate agent.
Lux senior managers - I find the reply posted by your branch manager in Hornchurch both defamatory and discriminatory. I object being referred to as a ‘time waster’ because I visited more than the allowed quota of houses. This is because I need to ascertain whether the properties could accommodate the adaptions my daughter needs such as a wet room, ramps etc. I think there is a real need for your staff to receive training around disability as Sophie seems to think that having a employee with a disabled relative means Lux homes are knowledgable with regards the needs of disabled people. They are not all the same, with each person having their own unique. Needs. I do hope staff receive the necessary training so that your disabled customers receive the same quality service as your able bodied customers. I have shared my experience of Lux homes with local disability forums to help others avoid having the same experience that I have had and urge you to address this.

We had such a great experience with Lux Homes and could not recommend these guys any more, as best in class for service, expertise and the photos, yes the photos are so important!
Sophie the Sales Manager looked after us from day 1. She was very professional, organised and prompt with the sale of our property and with thorough communication through the sales process until the end. Some people find Estate Agents just get until the sale and they go quiet, not these guys and not Sophie.
To the sale process itself, we needed a very quick sale, to help facilitate us finding our dream next home, to which Sophie happily supported with ease and got us a sale within 2 weeks despite being on holiday for the start of the sale. This is where the fantastic photos helped show off our beautiful first home to prospective buyers.

I wouldn’t want to deal with this estate agent again.
Firstly, the estate agent that showed us the property exaggerated the rental income by £500 which in turn caused us affordability issues with the bank. This meant that we had to increase our deposit to compensate because the estate agent lied to make the property look good. This estate agent then left the company and the sale was handed over to another estate agent. I found this particular estate agent to be forceful and abrupt. She had zero mannerisms over the phone and email. Didn’t address me properly and lacked professionalism/ customer service when talking. She would question my commitment to buying the property when the vendor hand’t even found their property to move into. We were initially told when viewing the property that the vendor “had found a property and was ready to move in”. However after paying for broker and solicitor it turns out that his sale fell through and I believe we were misguided by the estate agent. I was then told that the seller was looking for a property within the next few weeks. 3 weeks later I was told that the seller hadn't answered their phone for 3 weeks and now they withdrawn from the sale. In the meantime we were bombared about paperwork and blamed for not going fast enough. Due to this forceful nature and misinformation I have lost £850 with broker and solicitor fees which the estate agent is obviously not going to refund.

Absolute farce of a service communication wise.
I booked a viewing , answered the relevant questions, most notably “do you have any pets?” To which I said yes a small dog.
Days later I went and did the near 2 hour journey to view the place and on arrival was promptly told it was no pets when I mentioned the dog.
I’m a day and a days pay out of pocket to travel to a property I could never be accepted for, simply because a typical estate agent was too pressed to get people in and viewing it to tell me the truth about the landlords policy.
You can do better elsewhere.
And you can do better Lux homes.

If you are going to advertise a property then you should allow people to view the property the same people that had booked on the same day the property went live, To be told it was fully booked is quite not understandable. I booked a viewing on Property went up Thursday 17:05pm. I sent a viewing request at 17:22pm i called today Monday to find out why i have not been called back only to be told that its under offer. How is that possible if i didn't even get to view the property? Next time its better to just drop a letter into the door as estate agents take sellers for a ride and buyers for a ride. This was just ridiculous. I am assuming this particular estate agents had special customers they look out for rather then first come first serve, Absolute disgusting behaviour.
Update -
Received a call from a women from Lux Homes asking me why i left such a review, She spent literally 10mins and 20seconds arguing with me on why i left a such a review which is 100% accurate based on my experience and my opinion. I don't understand that after leaving a review why do i need to be contacted by the company to be harassed or to justify myself about the review.
It was my experience it was my opinion that should be the end of it. To try to bully and say we will remove you of the search list someone will leave a bad review on your business and then you will deserve it all this petty little things. The way this women spoke there is no need of this, I have no time to argue about this there are plenty of estate agents out there who follow the rules. I don't even want to get into what was said but just be careful who you deal with at this estate agent.

We used Lux Homes to list our flat for sale after previously using Haart, Bairstow Eves and Purple Bricks who were all unable to sell our property for the price we wanted. We chose to use Lux following a recommendation from a neighbour who had recently sold with Lux achieving full asking price. Sophie listed our property and was unbelievable throughout. She explained everything so clearly and was honest, helpful, available and unfailing in her determination to get viewings and secure offers. Within a week of our flat being listed Sophie had secured an offer at our asking price and we have just completed on the sale. Daisy dealt with the sale from the point of offer to completion and both Daisy and Sophie were fantastic at keeping us updated and chasing solicitors when needed. Alex was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the house sale process, there was never any question too small or inconsequential for him to respond to in a cheery and informative manner. We'd struggled to sell our property through a different agent and on meeting Alex, we understood why. He took a genuine interest in the sale of the property, was pragmatic and honest regarding the market (selling a maisonette during a pandemic is not easy) and with some top notch photography, was able to position the house really well. We we're lucky enough to move into our new home back in October 2020. It was a long time coming as we sat in a chain in what seems like forever but with Alex and his team at the helm they pulled off what seemed like a dwindling possibility.
i have had a few dealings with estate agents in the area (Hornchurch) but i couldn't recommend Alex and the Lux homes team enough! If i was to move again, I wouldn't look anywhere else! The communication from the team over the last year has been excellent. Alex always made himself available for a chat and always got back to me the same day. I found him to be honest and very hardworking to our cause. Not once did i feel like i wasn't getting the attention or advise i wanted. I know just how hard the team worked at closing our deal and I can honestly say they earned their commission!
When you work with a smaller independent firm like Lux homes, you know they are going to do their best for you and work at closing the deal. There's no doubt in my mind that if we went with some other agents in the area or, an "online only" agent we wouldn't be in our new home.

My Experience with Lux Homes was Super!! I used the letting service as I needed a place to rent. I dealt with Alex and Aislinn together they made the process fast, easy and efficient. They did their best to explain anything that wasn't very clear to me (including a few clause in the contract) as it was my first time renting a property on my own and I needed a place to stay fairly quickly. They have a great professional relationship with the landlord which made it easier for me to communicate a few minor adjustments needed to be done in the property in order for me to move in. I had to liaise with Alex from Lux Homes frequently as the property I purchased was being sold through Lux Homes.
There was a large chain and a very tight deadline to 'complete' with a threat of the chain collapsing if we didn't complete on time.
Alex from Lux Homes was seriously on the ball! He chased all solicitors, kept everyone up to date and worked harder than anyone (including some of the solicitors) to make this happen.
If it wasn't for Alex we would not have met the completion deadline.
I would highly recommend Lux Homes as your chosen estate agents.

Have worked with Lux homes now for a good period of time and can honestly say they have been excellent in every way.
New tenants are found in a very short period of time so the apartment has never been empty.
Any issues arising from tenants are dealt with speedily with no fuss and with minimal involvement from myself. This is exactly what a management company is paid for. To take the stress out of the owners hands.
If we keep receiving this type of service, I can see us working together for a long, long time.
