I initially gave a good review when we were buying. However my experience sellling was the complete opposite. Selling my deceased mother's bungalow we asked for a realistic price and assessment of the market from Jo. Despite her bullishness (about the price she would get - and the speed of sale), we advised her to market at the lower price of the range she gave as we did not want the property hanging around for months / years (which we told her). she encouraged us to sign a fixed price contract for commission. When she then said drop the price (which we did), she wouldn't change commission. 24 week contract, 1 viewing - why would you trust their knowledge, opinion? Go elsewhere.

I would not use this agent again.
At offer stage I was explicitly told that the buyer’s deposit had been “verified by the solicitor.” That assurance was material to my decision to accept the offer. It later became clear that no verification had taken place at all. The agent had simply asked the buyer’s solicitor what the client said he expected to receive, and this was relayed to me as “verification.”
In reality, the deposit depended entirely on a third party refinancing, with no proof of funds, no confirmed timescale, and no independent confirmation. This was never properly disclosed to me. Unsurprisingly, the transaction then dragged on for seven months, with repeated delays caused by the buyer’s inability to access those funds.
When I raised this issue after completion, the agent refused to accept any responsibility, denied that their representation was misleading, and immediately threatened legal action for the full commission rather than engaging constructively with the complaint.
I fully accept that commission is contractually due on completion. However, basic accuracy and transparency at offer stage are fundamental to an estate agent’s role. In my case, inaccurate information was given, material risks were not disclosed, and the consequences fell entirely on me as the seller.
Based on my experience:
• buyer finances were not properly checked
• key information was presented inaccurately
• complaints were handled defensively rather than fairly
Proceed with caution.

Was interested in two different properties posted by Morris Dibben office in Hayling. First one I was messed around for the viewing, had a million calls between us and at the end changed their viewing rules and we weren’t able to view the new build property. Second property we went to view we asked to reserve and was told to apply via a form instead, which we received no answer for. After chasing them for nearly a month, asking for calls back and not receiving them we’ve just found out that the property we really wanted to reserve is gone. We were told we were unable to receive on the day even though we were the first to view… we’ve now lost the house we fell in love with due to the team’s inability to communicate, my partner seemed to get answers pretty quickly that the property was gone whereas I had to keep chasing and not getting information out of them. Clearly avoiding my calls, I just wanted to progress and was clearly not favoured by these estate agents. Would avoid.

Disappointing experience.
Firstly I had a mortgage meeting with their in-house mortgage advisor, which was carried out infront of the 4 people that worked in the branch as there was no private office, so all my personal information and finances was discussed infront for 4 strangers!
Knowing I was interested in a property that had come back on the market, and knowing I had no AIP they asked me if I'd like to make an offer on it, which I did, the vendor made me an offer back which I agreed to, they then asked me to get them my AIP done ASAP so they could remove it from the market, got it done and sent over before the weekend, come Monday it was still on the market and they did not explain why, Tuesday someone else had made an offer, and they never even mentioned anyone else was interested in the property.
Feel like I was throughly messed about and taken for a ride!

Well I was not very impressed as it seemed to take a very long time and they didn't really seem to get into gear quick enough or have any sense of urgency to help get a chain of only 3 transactions lined up to complete. In fact 3 months from our solicitor being ready to exchange to actual completion is poor in my experience of moving house and we had to chase for updates, very frustrating but maybe we just expected too much.

I bought a property that was placed with Morris Dibben being sold by the online method of auction.
Unfortunately, I had problem after problem with the exchange and completion of the property wholly caused in my opinion, by the auction company. The staff at Morris Dibben went above and beyond in trying to sort out the issues for me and even arranged for the seller to let me move in after yet one more huge mistake by the auction house’s solicitors prevented me from exchanging and completing on the agreed date (I had the moving van en route to the property and my buyers waiting outside my home to move in!).
I would never ever sell nor buy through the modern online method of auction again but I would have no hesitation in recommending Morris Dibben in Hayling as an agent.

Having delt with other agents, They are THE goto estate agent on the Island, they are professional, friendly, responsive and in touch with the current market. Lauren delegates her team members very well providing you with the best service possible.

Once we found a house to buy it was easy to put in an offer and they kept us informed all the way and checked everything was going ok. They were able to offer us viewings of the property again whilst all paperwork was being sorted. Polite and courteous service. Only reason for 4 stars is they were not very good at helping us find the right property, but this is what I found with most estate agents at this current time.

I was satisfied with the service provided by Morris Dibben Estates. Unlike the other agents they operated professionally and kept communication channels open. The sales process was testing at times but they kept me informed of current status and helped smooth bottleneck. All in all well done.
