Brilliant agency, we’ve let our beautiful 4 bed house from them for over a year and the whole process was quick and efficient, they don’t charge ridiculous fees like some agencies. I had a very smooth experience with Newcastle Lettings. The team was professional, responsive, and made the entire rental process simple. ? 1 star Avoid this agency at all costs. I paid £1,950 upfront for a rental arranged through Newcastle Lettings, only to discover the property was completely unfit to live in — damp, dirty, unfurnished (despite the contract stating it was furnished), and full of health and safety hazards. I returned the keys immediately and informed the agency, but they refused to refund my money or take responsibility. I believe I was misled and possibly scammed. Communication has been appalling, and they’ve ignored multiple attempts to resolve the issue. I’m now preparing to escalate this to Trading Standards and pursue legal action. Very unprofessional, we showed up for our booked viewing 10minutes before time booked, waited 1hour, called their phones both office and agent and they didn't even bother to answer or to come for the viewing. Disgusting properties. We were shown some of the most dirty, filthy, unkempt, properties we've ever had the misfortune to view! The cheek of the staff showing us round, acting as if nothing was wrong with these places. Grubby does not adequately describe the vast majority of the property stock this agency has.
