I agreed a purchase on 5 Whitburn Avenue which was marketed and confirmed in the memorandum of sale as freehold. After instructing solicitors and incurring costs and a level 2 survey, it later emerged during conveyancing that the property was subject to a short lease of around 12 years, fundamentally affecting value and mortgageability.
I withdrew immediately once this came to light. Despite requesting written confirmation that the sale was no longer proceeding, my emails were not responded to.
This experience caused unnecessary stress and wasted legal costs. Buyers should independently verify tenure before proceeding.

I assisted my daughter with a proposed purchase through this agency and was directly involved in corresponding with them. The property was marketed and confirmed as freehold, but during the legal process it later emerged that it was subject to a short lease of approximately 12 years, which brought the transaction to an end after costs (including a Level 2 survey and solicitor fees) had already been incurred by my daughter.
From my experience supporting the process, this caused unnecessary stress, delay, and wasted time that could have been avoided had the tenure been clear from the outset.

Very impressive initial meeting and presentation of the property on Rightmove but that's where the professionalism ended. Initial agents presenting the property had not prepared appropriately and were poorly informed; another left the property and did not let us know that she had left the doors open when she drove away. Communications via telephone became increasingly difficult to the point where calls were either not answered or not returned. After 11 weeks, there were no discussions about changes to the sales approach. Those people who came to view the property were incompatible with the property despite being "vetted" by the agent for suitability and feedback after viewing was limited and unhelpful. This was a really bad experience and I would not recommend this branch of this organisation to anyone. We honoured the 12 week exclusivity period but have now moved to another agent.

Terrible experience of trying to sell property with Paul Carr hamstead. They showed little to no sales skills when carrying out viewings. There was almost no communication from the branch on any level, and they disregarded most of the instructions we requested.

Michelle Hiley has been incredible! She has helped smooth over my transaction and has been so efficient in general. Have just viewed a property advertised by the company. The viewing has been hosted by Mr. Graham and honestly it could not have gone down better than it has. He has been very helpful and has responded to all our questions. He has had a deep dive into the property viewing process and has explained to us everything that we needed to know and what to look for when investing in a property. He has taught us a few things about the area's history as well, which is always worth knowing about, as well as a nice touch added with the property viewing process. This shows what a man of greate knowledge he is. He has walked us through every single corner of the house and has covered everything we needed to see and understand with the property. Top service, we could not have been happier with quality of it. If i will ever need to sell a properrty, i will make sure Mr Graham will host the viewings!

I was selling my late mother's house and was helped and guided all through the process by Peter and his wonderful team of girls; Michelle, Sam and Carol. There were setbacks along the way with potential purchasers withdrawing their offers but the team were unflagging in their support and enthusiasm and kept me informed every step of the way. They worked extremely hard with viewings and liaising with prospective buyers until the house was eventually sold. They are a credit to the company and I wish them all well in the future!

I used Paul Carr to sell a house for me as the executor of an estate, i booked an appointment and the gentleman turned up on time and gave me a quote there and then and a written quote within a few day which i accepted.
My next dealing with them was with the manager at the time who came around and measured up and booked me a home visit with Samantha Wright.
Samantha had the job of looking after me until the house was sold subject to contract, then i was introduced to Michelle Hiley who then looked after me until the end.
Although the house took almost a year to finally go through, no fault on Paul Carr, people were putting in offers and not having the money or passing the security checks.
Both ladies gave first class customer service the entire time, always friendly and bubbly over the phone and if not available always called me back as soon as they could, i felt nothing was too much trouble for them.
If i found myself in the same position, i would have no hesitation in using them again.
