We recently used Paul Carr to purchase a house. There was little communication.
I phoned after exchanging to ask if we could double check on some measurements that we had already taken.
The abrupt female that answered said,' why are you doing this now,it should be done before exchange'
I explained ,'like I said we already have done the measurements but just wanted to double chec on some things'
Her reply was 'no due to being 3 days before completion ' (although seller wasn't there,the agents had a key so it wasn't too much to ask)
I have had more polite/respectful conversations with doctors receptionists.
I certainly wouldn't recommend them.

I had an extremely negative experience with this agent. They insisted I use their in-house mortgage advisor as a condition of proceeding. Despite this, they never passed my offer on to the vendor, who I talked to them later . To make matters worse, the recommended mortgage broker was incompetent and mishandled my application entirely, causing me to lose both the property and a significant amount of money. This combination of unethical pressure and gross professional failure has resulted in substantial financial harm. I strongly advise against using this agent for any property transaction.

I worked as a case handler at a Conveyancing Firm, for a Sale which was handled by Tori.
She would go above and beyond to her clients .. She would regularly email me requesting for updates on the case and keep relevant parties updated. Chasing the other side solicitors on my behalf as well.

To Tom — the one with the orange Corsa and signature sunglasses (though I understand there may be more than one Tom!) — what a fantastic chap! I have found Paul Carr to be the most successful estate agent in Walmley for selling houses.
Tom suggested an "offers over" strategy and this did the trick for generating interest.
Natalie then did a first class job of handling the negotiations as we had multiple offers.
Then Michelle professionally handled it with the solicitors once an offer had been agreed.
They work as a team, Tori answered plenty of my questions also .

I started communicating with Sharron in April for the purchase of a property through her agency Paul Carr Walmley and I can confidently say she has been an absolute star throughout the entire journey. My situation was a bit complex, involving a 3 part chain and requiring constant communication between several parties. Never have I ever come across a company as bad as this. I purchased a house and was having difficulty with the vendor during the sale. Despite several emails and calls to the office, the team were no help at all; they did not reply to one single email, never once offered to assist in the matter (which would have been very amicably resolved if they had).
The worst customer service was moving day - it took me over 1 hour to get through on the phone to arrange a time for key collection. When we went to the office to collect keys the lady never even asked for our name - I could have been anyone!! she's never met me before. She didn't even look up from her computer she just held her hand out with a key - no congratulations or hope you enjoy your new house - NOTHING!
I have been in the new house over a month now and am still waiting for the agents to tell me what the house alarm code is......several calls and emails and again NOTHING.

UPDATE: Replying to the lies provided by area manager below:
I have only ever received the memo of sale from Paul Carr Walmey emailed by Bethany. No other emails apart from the progressor at the Streetly branch.
Its correct I did call several times on moving day, BUT only ONCE did I actually get through to anyone at the office and speak to someone. It took over 1 hour to get someone to answer the phone! You can see my phone log of you like that only one call was answered. The solicitor could not get through either to tell you money had transfered and release key. One person in the office, when she did answer she told me how it wasn't her fault the phone had been engaged for 1 hr she was alone which leads to my next point.....
The lady in the office on moving day was ALONE (3 people in my family will vouch at her dire behaviour , that she was not on a call nor midconversation and that there was no one else there) she was not on a call, she was sat at her desk, THE ONLY person in the office. I also have only ever met Ben face to face at the viewings so no one cpuld have vouched for who I was..... thats more lies. Truth is she rudely gave keys to someone she had no idea who they were.
I have spoken and emailed the assistant manager Tom Baker at Walmley by phone twice and discussed the alarm, again happy to share call log. I should not be told about things regarding the house sale fittings via your Google review reply. Once again no one professionally calls or emails back with the information.
You have my number if you really cared and knew your reply was not all lies you would and should call me or once again, are Paul Carr not going to actually respond professionally.
UPDATE: NO CALL FROM THE AREA MANAGER TO FOLLOW UP!

Terrible communication and service when trying to sell a property. Were pushy about moving our property over to a separate auction house, and very quickly wanted us to reduce the price to make their job easier. Then advertised at a substantially lower price than had been agreed which left us in a completely untenable position which forced us to have to take it off the market.

Despite requests by email and telephone on several occasions to remove their board from our property, it's still there nearly 3 months later Problem with Estate Agents in general, all over you like a rash till you sign up with them after that their only suggestions to achieve a sale is reduce the price.Then customer service disappears faster than a unicorn.

Sadly since my last review this estate agents has gone downhill. They ignore your calls and emails. Even sent a complaint and they ignored that. Wouldn't leave my house in their hands thats for sure.

Would not recommended this agent to buy or sell your property. Extremely bad service! They are not professional, push you use their mortgage advisor. Very disappointed. Their mortgage broker Paul is extremely terrible lack of knowledge, done really bad work for our re-mortgage deal! . All wrong, made us lost Lots of money due to had to pay over £6k Patently to come out a stupid deal made by this mortgage Advicser, Never use this branch or their mortgage advisor

Put my house on the market with Paul Carr Walmley in July 2019. They massively overpriced the house which obviously meant there wasn’t much interest. Pricing my property at £250k when it was probably worth about £230k! Our first buyer who eventually offered, it seemed like Paul Carr never did correct checks with buyer as I was told they were cash buyers when in fact they were selling a property which they was having problems with - which highlights the fact that no proof of cash was shown to Paul Carr. The buyers were dragging their feet with the sale, trying to knock price to eventually pull out with no good reason. I would like to say that this isn’t every Paul Carr as we have received a good service from the Erdington branch who do the correct checks and price houses at their true value.

This was our first experience of selling a house and we chose Paul Carr to handle things for us. Our experience was dreadful! There was no communication unless I rang them and we were just fobbed off when we did speak to someone.
Just awful I would never recommend to anyone else.

The agents here are about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. Why I or anyone would sell a house through these clowns I don't know. Communication is none existant and every single one of them seem to have a chip on their shoulder. Very very rude when things don't go their way and they use bully tactics on buyers too and I personally heard this from the horses mouth too as they seem to think buyers and sellers can't find ways of communicating. It's reasons like this why I think why I or anyone should just sell their houses privately with no corrupt agents getting their beaks involved afterall there are plenty ways of advertising these days not like the old days plus no commision. Shame I couldn't leave -5 stars to be honest.

Just called about a property in Sutton Coldfield, both staff that l spoken too this morning 21/05/18 are most uncooperative with the sale of this property l have had some professional
Advice for my solictor and been told to ask some questions but the staff do not want to co- operate at all it a least property and no one seen to know who owes the least and why the vendor will not extend the least, but Paul Carr now nothing about this property and not even prepared to negotiate, very very poor service from this branch staff need more training

I wanted the details for a property I had seen on rightmove on February 2nd 2015. It is now February 24th and they are still not available. When I ring I'm told they are busy but details will appear when the backlog has been dealt with.
I rang a different office about another property they had put on rightmove a week earlier and was told it would be another week before they went to measure up and a few days after that before they would be available.
On the good side they will arrange a viewing so you can measure up yourself.
