I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience due to the sheer level of frustration I’ve had with this estate agent.
I trusted this agency to handle the sale of my property, and after four months on the market with zero offers and only 3 viewings, I can confidently say that they failed to deliver on every front.
The marketing was shockingly poor. The listing lacked any real effort or creativity. The photos were badly lit, poorly framed, and made my home look far less appealing than it actually is. There was no attempt to promote the property on social media, which in today’s market is simply unacceptable, even when I raised that as an issue they said they would promote on their socials, but didn’t. Other agents I later consulted were shocked by how little visibility the listing had.
To make matters worse, the agency made several false promises. From inflated expectations about viewings and buyer interest to claims that they were actively pushing the property, none of it added up. I received very little communication unless I chased them for updates, and any time I raised concerns, they were brushed aside.
When I finally had enough and requested for the listing to be removed, I had to chase them for over three weeks just to get confirmation. The lack of urgency and basic professionalism was staggering.
If you’re looking for an estate agent who will actively market your property, communicate clearly, and follow through on their commitments, look elsewhere. This experience has been both stressful and disappointing from beginning to end.

Having bought and sold many houses on the Island I have used most agents and really wish I had stayed with one I knew, not sure why I used Pittis this time but what a mistake.....no communication even after chasing daily.....no call backs even when promised and emails ignored. Having read other reviews it seems Shanklin branch is very good and Ross from Ventnor did try to help but I would caution against using Newport branch as you will have no consistency or help. Never normally write bad reviews as I feel it is always subjective but if I can spare someone the headache of trying to deal with a bad agent when much better are available then it's worth it.

I had a good time dealing with Jamie Gallop at the Newport Isle of Wight branch. He was very professional, helpful, and supportive all through our property search.
I wish I had found a suitable property with Pittis as I was so wowed by what he was doing in supporting customers.
I'll definitely recommend Pittis to my friends and family and hope at some point in the future I'll be able to buy another property through them.

Took a very long time after making intital enquiries to hear anything back and when we did it was just to be brushed off as though we weren't remotely important to them despite getting in very early on a new rental listing.
Have received far far better service from other agents in the local area even though none of them had anything for us it was still a good level of communication that we appreciated.
Just found it all to be very poor and as though we weren't worth dealing with for them like maybe we are scum to them or something? We will take our business elsewhere and be patient for the right thing to come up.

Please, please, if you are on the hunt for your dream family home, allow Pittis to help you. Even if you think you've got someone else that's great from elsewhere, just give them a go. If you want to know who to ask for, JAMIE G ALL THE WAY. He is nothing short of an exceptional asset to the team there. I have a very busy life with work and 2 small children and the poor man had to leave voicemails most times he called me but every time I called back or he did catch me he was courteous, friendly and truly couldn't be more helpful or understanding. As an anxious person this means the world. Right up until the end of my search Jamie was on the end of the phone and set up countless viewings for me, accomodating all my needs as sometimes the hours/days I needed weren't the most convenient, but he made it work. 10000000% recommend!!!

They have been aggressive with their sales, kept ringing us to see if we wanted to sell. I told them not to ring any more last year. Today they phoned and asked to speak to my mother who has just died. I was very upset and they had the attitude - "well it's not our fault we didn't know". Yes, it was your fault as I asked you not to ring any more. Disgraceful . No way would I ever use them.

Although we didn't find a property though Pittis Estate Agents this time, MICHAEL PARKES was fantastic in planning the order in which we went to view the properties working out how long it would take to get from one viewing to the next and with describing the Bungalows to us over the phone before we started viewing.

Having bought and sold sereral propertys in the past i have never fortunately come across the unprofesionalism. As i have recieved from there Sandown office. Kieran does not respond to emails or return calls. Then when finally he makes contact he is rude and agressive. Neil is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Shocking service i would certainly never ask them to market my property and would have to think really hard before buying anything they maketed.

Rude , combative and in denial that there were real concerns and issues with the property that they were attempting to sell us. When our surveyor effectively said to avoid at all costs and inform the bank not to lend against the property, their answer was to ask us to go to a different lender ! Unbelievable

All about the quick sale. For you seller's using Jamie as your point of contact, he won't allow anyone to offer more money/ view a property once he thinks he has the sale, even if the seller HAD NOT accepted an offer. Something 'off' about this estate agency, or maybe its him. Be aware and ask for full transparency.

We had been trying to move house back in March 2020 but we lost our buyer due to the COVID lockdown. We struggled to get another buyer with our existing estate agent. We were worried we would lose our dream home. Andy from the Newport branch had showed us a couple of houses and knew our situation . We decided to switch to Pittis and Andy had sold our house before we even had the photographs taken. The house we brought was also through Pittis and they two branches worked amazingly well together to see our sale and purchase though to completion. We are incredibly grateful to Andy and the whole Pittis team.

I found Pittis to be a very professional and personal service, the staff only to happy to listen to your concerns offer advice and generally help you with the process. They didn't always call or return calls when they said they would but they did eventually. Apart from that minor observation, I would recommend their service to anyone in my position selling their first home without hesitation.

Commission is not a straight percentage on the sale price but is set at a percentage of the valuation so that you pay the same amount even if you have to drop the price in order to achieve a sale. They make an extra charge for photographs. Communication is bad and if they are busy then calls are directed to the mainland. The co-ordinator for the sale is based on the mainland and is always behind with what is actually happening. The solicitor that Pittis recommend is based on the mainland and everything is done online which may not suit older people not used to working in this way. You will need a printer and plenty of paper and ink! Better to choose a local solicitor yourself.

Went in looking to buy property and put name down on there list didn't want to know until we had sold our property even though the property I was looking for was advertised on the window and wanting to view the guy just dismissed me and said our properties are selling to quick get in touch when you've sold your own property never asked any questions about value of property I was looking for a lot better service from all the other estate agents on the Isle of Wight who did take time to speak to you and take your details

The young lady at newport lettings on the isle of wight was rude, passive aggressive, and totally unprofessional, and completely denied I had given notice. (Thankfully I had evidence of this conversation and watson porter lettings sorted it). I would never use this company and will encourage fellow house hunters and renters to also avoid them.
