We were given a valuation band of 200-250k (which in itself is outrageous), we were assured we could reasonably expect to receive over 225k for the property . We listed for 235 on their advice and grossly overpriced ourselves as a result. The interior photos in the listing were great, the exterior photos were unflattering and utilised drone shots on a crowded street - we had to ask for the lead photo to be changed. Proactive communication was absolutely non-existent, had to request every change in valuation, had to chase the mortgage in principle certificate, reduce the value numerous times. We only held a viewing for one couple (twice), which we had to conduct ourselves. As a result of the pricing strategy, we did not sell and lost the house we wanted. In addition, even delisting was farcical and the property was still live several weeks the agreed delisting date. Simply put, the pricing strategy was incorrect from the off and the enormous portfolio this agent holds is at a severe detriment to it's customer care.... Read more

First photos were poor, I had to ask them to retake them a few times. No contact after it was on the market, no updates , had to phone for updates . Wouldn't recomnend Robert Ellis, we had a very bad experience with them, just feel it was a waste of time and a lost opportunity for us to sell our house.... Read more

Joely came out and promised me the earth to get me to market with them and was told they had many clients looking for my type of house in my area. Was assured it would also be marketed at Stapleford. Stapleford knew nothing about my property Once agreed to go with them all went down hill. I had cause to ring the office on a few occasions and messages were not passed on. I was told Joely wasn’t in and I could hear her in the back ground. No communication from them as to what was happening Saw an open day advertised on my property without clear communication from them. I know the market is slow at the moment and a quick call once a week to keep me informed would have been great. My current agent rings regularly just to touch base. Not value for money, total rip off, we was promised a weekly call! If we have received about about 10 call in 8 months, never got the story correct sold at Christmas and still awaiting to complete sale, we had to chase Robert Ellis to chase the selling chain! We lost our chain once due to them not doing there jobs before the lockdown, they can’t get any worst!... Read more
