Despite repeatedly reporting the issue, my emails and calls have mostly gone unanswered, and there has been no resolution. This has caused huge inconvenience, and the lack of communication is extremely unprofessional. Very disappointed with the service.

Cannot recommend Romans enough. Millie must have shown my husband and I around about 20 houses over the last few months. She was incredibly patient answering our questions and knowledgable about the area and local property market. We finally completed on a fab property a few weeks ago and couldn't be more thrilled. Was very happy with Romans for getting my house sold. They did however over value my house then asked me to drop it by 50k in 1 go, which didn’t really feel like they were trying to get me the best price. Also I would look around for solicitors rather than there recommended- TMT Legal Services their communication was awful and were expensive. Other than that Romans were good and was happy.
However, I do have to say that Mollie Steadman is an absolute 5* she was communicative, always answered the phone and if she didn’t, she always called you back. She really helped me massively through the entire process through all the fine details and was there whenever I needed. She is a superstar!

Romans were not the preferred option as very little was known about them prior to this experience however within the locality of Windsor it was a choice of properties between Romans and Horler. Our agent was Mia and she was an absolute star with great advice around the local area which was really helpful and we ended up selecting a property. Mia was insightful as well as understanding to the needs which was a drive etc. Mia really has helped every step of the way through to key handover. What an absolute pleasure it has been and once at the property to be met by a surprise box of snacks and a card was nice touch! Highly recommend this branch as well as Mia!

A message to Romans. I can buy a property wherever i want. I called and they said i am registered in Northwood, why am i calling Windsor. Then started to tell me Pinner and Windsor is different areas.... Listen.. i don't care. I look everywhere for a home. Not just in one area! Just do what you are paid to do. Pick up the phone and make an appointment with the vendor. Its a simple job. Instead they want to ask unnecessary questions.

The lettings team at Windsor are nice, friendly and understand needs. Sam is a diamond!
Sadly, they are let down by the Romans property management team, who will take over once you have signed up. They are unfriendly, unresponsive, not interested in anything, work against you rather than with you and generally seem to have no interest in actually helping landlord or tenants. (Our tenants contacted us directly to avoid having to deal with them).
There are much better management companies out there so my advise is to find the property through the lettings team, then go elsewhere! Avoid the property management service at all costs.

The property manager Kim Stockley deserves a special mention for the outstanding level of service provided even during a very difficult time like the pandemic one. Always ready to help, available to listen and immediately deal with any (even small) issue, she always shows to care about the Romans' customers. Recently she followed us during the tenancy renewal process, making it smooth and easy. We are sorry to have only 5 stars to assign, because she deserves more of them for sure!

I have worked with Sam Morton from Romans for many years now. Finding someone you trust to let your property, and act in your best interests is difficult. So many agents tend to cut corners where they can, sometimes at the cost of the landlord.
Sam and I communicated directly, all the time, and if I needed to deal with another part of Romans, she was always on hand to help if necessary.
Romans are not the least expensive agency, neither are they the most expensive. What they do is offer a service that is worthy of what you are paying for. When you need someone to look after an extremely valuable asset for you, this is exactly what you need.

The service we received from Carl, Robert, and the team at Romans was absolutely brilliant. We started the process as speculative buyers attending a viewing and very quickly ended up both selling our previous property and buying our new one through Romans. From the initial meeting with Carl and Robert it was less than 48 hours before the photographer came round and the same again before the property was listed. Within 48 hours of the 'launch day' we had multiple offers which Carl helped negotiate after which we selected a buyer and progressed quickly to conveyancing etc. The support post offer acceptance was also impressive and professional, regularly managing all parties to maintain momentum through to exchange / completion. We had a property on the market with Romans who failed to sell it in 8 months. Piers who dealt with our sale seemed to constantly want us to lower the price despite us initially putting it on the market for less than what he valued the property at and he never seemed to want tp negotiate with the perspective buyers, it was always the first and only offer. When the property did finally get to a sale agreed sadly our buyers then pulled out due to a family illness. They said we could have the surveys etc that they had paid for as no use to them. Piers then took it upon himself to send these to the next prospective party before we had even accepted there offer without our permission and they then retracted there offer. It was at this point Piers told us to find another estate agent. Quite frankly I was appalled by the lack of customer service and I would not recommend Romans ever again. Horlers however managed to have the property sale agreed in under a week, which says it all if you ask me.

My experience with Romans in Windsor has been positive from start to finish. I ended up getting the property I really wanted thanks to Annie Nicholls and the her wonderful colleagues. I was referenced checked with the lettings hub who were great and everything was sorted before move in date. On arrival of checking in, I was happily surprised to see a massive box which was a care package left by the Romans team. It contained everything I could ever need including breakfast bars, toothpaste, cookies, DVLA move home reminders and most importantly, some vouchers for a huge hamper of wine! Annie and the whole Windsor team have been amazing and I’m so grateful that my son and I are living in our dream home. Thanks so much for all your efforts!

I had a fantastic experience working with the Windsor Romans Letting team. They understood my needs, recommended suitable properties, were easy to talk to and were very responsive. They quickly helped me find a new home and helped me secure a move date within the timeframe I had specified. From initially calling them to register my interest in a property, I had 3 viewings within 2 days and had an offer accepted and deposit paid within 4 days - - all in all moving into my new property within 2 weeks. Went with Romans after obtaining quotes from a number of agents. The Romans Rep I dealt with, Pierce was professional and gave what I felt was a fair appraisal. Throughout the sale process I was pleased with the amount of communication and they worked hard to find buyers for me.
Unfortunately Covid had an impact on my sale and my initial chain collapsed. Fortunately, Romans were able to re-establish a chain quickly and provided great support during what were some vary stressful months.

The estate agent we were buying through had to do 99% of the work Romans were meant to as they were so unresponsive. I moved to Windsor over four years' ago. I was very worried about living in a rented property as I have always lived in my own property before. I went into Romans and the friendly team there put me at ease in no time. I talked to Sam Morton, the lovely lettings Manager in the Windsor branch, and she arranged for me to view several properties. I was impressed with the properties I saw and signed up for one a few days' later. I moved again after a couple of years as Romans found me a property which was more suited to my needs. I have always been very happy with their service which was prompt, efficient and friendly. We stayed in touch with Carl and recently decided to move to a new property after completing an extension project. It was a no-brainer to contact Carl again and sell through Roman's. The professionalism and understanding of our situation we received from Carl and the team meant it was a stress-free process of listing our property, taking viewings, and ultimately selling. We were kept up to date on the latest marketing reports and online activity through regular email and phone call updates from Pierce and Dan. Romans and the landlord recently visited a property my pregnant sister rents from. She was verbally abused by both the estate agents and landlord because she wants the boiler, window and fridge fixed. They was asked to leave by the environmental health lady who was also at the property because they started shouting, leaving her in tears. You should be ashamed! There’s only one word for Romans and this landlord, scum. Imagine leaving a young pregnant lady with no hot water and then blaming her. Avoid at all costs.

Please think twice before renting a property with this agency.
We rented a property through them for 2 years, they are very friendly when showing you properties but as soon as you've signed a tenancy agreement with them they don't give a monkeys.
Slow to respond to urgent repairs and they charge extremely inflated 'agency/admin fees' when tenancy agreements need to be renewed. They also tried to force a rent increase on us even though we were already paying over the market rent value.
When you do finally give notice to leave they will expect to be allowed to show up at your property 5 times a week for viewings, which can go on for months as anyone who makes an offer on the property mysterious vanishes (probably after seeing the enormous agency fees and deposit that they want just to sign a document).
Then after you leave, they will refuse to hand over your deposit and come up with an abundance of excuses as to why (such as waiting for quotes which seem to take weeks). Leaving you out of pocket and a time when you've moved and need it the most.
I have rented previously with another agency and things were far more professional. It's unfortunate that people who can't afford to buy have to put up with unprofessional agents and greedy landlords.

Thanks to Thomas in the Windsor office for responding to my enquiry so quickly and arranging viewings at short-notice. Ultimately decided to pursue another option with another agency due to other factors, but the service he provided was fantastic and couldn't fault him at all. Will certainly look to use Romans in the future

Went through them to get a place, it did not work out unfortunately. There was a bit of a slow process on their part on resolving the matter but they did keep their word at the end of the day and dealt with it responsibly. I appreciate that from them.

The property management department is very lacking in all areas. As a landlord, I constantly have to chase for updates on issues reported by tenants and most recently had an engineer who the property manager has arranged to investigate an issue call me directly as the property manage felt it was too technical to understand. Furthermore despite stressing urgency of issues raised by tenants, I am still waiting on Romans to get back to me. Pretty poor and I am left wondering what my management fee is paying for when I am having to do so many follow- ups!

We have sell our house and rent a house for a short term with Romans. Their service and costumer service are excellent. From the moment Joshua came home prepared with all the information about the market and the strategy about how to sell the property, we knew it was the right agency. Very well organised, quick to reply and managed very well the process including all the additional services (mortgage advice, follow up on the sale and weekly updates). We have to break the chain and look for temporary accommodation very quick, Thomas has been really good finding different options, available for short notice views and keeping us up to date on the process. I will highly recommend Romans to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

Dealt with Donna as a prospective tenant. She was very approachable, kind and considerate. All while doing her job professionally. I know she was trying to sell the properties to me but it was in a friendly, polite and considered manner. She was a pleasure to deal with and I would certainly go back to Romans in Windsor.
She even managed a smile when I quipped the fees are quite high. A true professional who had the right answers. And I can be a bit of a grump so thank you and well done To the lettings team.

I moved to Windsor from overseas and didn't have a chance to scout the area or do much boots on the ground searching for living arrangements due to work obligations and travel.
After speaking with several estate and lettings agents, I felt I found an agency I could trust with Romans staring with a Mr. Sam Brown who honed in on my interests and needs for a long-term residence.
Further, I KNEW without a doubt that I found the right agency when I was treated with nothing but kindness, generosity, and patience as I tried to navigate aimlessly at times.

It took them nearly 3 weeks for Romans to return my deposit. When it comes to damages, they are extremely picky and will charge for the smallest of things. They also do a pretty bad job with the inventory, and the burden of proof is on the tenant to prove that damage was there prior to move-in. Make sure you take pictures, otherwise you are screwed! In case of any dispute, they automatically side with the landlord. They even charged me for maintenance items which are clearly the landlord's responsibility! Now I have to deal with the bureaucratic of raising a dispute with the deposit scheme because of Romans' unprofessional behavior.
