Have been renting for over 10 years now and these guys are the best agency I’ve dealt with. No one is perfect but I experienced nothing but professionalism and everything was done by the book. As someone who has previously taken legal action against an agency before I can wholeheartedly say I was impressed by their professionalism and professional attitude. The renting process was clear and smooth, they answered all my questions and 1 year on have never inconvenienced me or caused even an ounce of annoyance.
It’s a shame there’s some negative reviews here but I have not a bad thing to say.

Avoid these people at all costs.
They do not know the difference between the truth and a lie.
When challenged they shout and hang up the phone. They aren't able to manage their diaries....turning up when they shouldn't and not turning up when they should !
Rude, unprofessional people, the manager Jan is appalling!
Moving house is stressful at the best of times, they make it so much worse !

Giving 1 star only because the option of 0 star was not available.
I recommended this Company after dealing with Miranda who was professional and efficient. I didn't know that Miranda no longer worked for them.
Unfortunately, the service now provided is shocking, the staff are
rude, belligerent and totally inefficient. Appointments are not kept, calls are not returned with so many excuses and untruths told.
Standards are way below expectations.

We had an extremely disappointing experience with this agency from start to finish.
From the outset, basic details were mishandled. At the initial valuation on 7 September 2025, my email address was taken incorrectly. We were assured contracts would be sent once the valuer returned to the office, but nothing ever arrived. Only after chasing them did the error get corrected.
It didn’t improve. We agreed a date and time for photographs and were asked to ensure the house was empty. I sat outside in my car with our 5-year-old, 1-year-old, and our dog to accommodate this—yet nobody showed up. When we called, we were told the appointment had been forgotten or recorded incorrectly.
During our holiday, we had arranged two viewings. The agent turned up with two additional, unplanned viewings, claiming we had been emailed. No such emails were received.
Across all the viewings, we were never once contacted proactively with feedback. We repeatedly had to call ourselves, often to no avail. Calls went unanswered, agents were “too busy,” and promised callbacks never came. On one occasion the receptionist admitted she could not recall the feedback because it was over two weeks old.
The final straw was a last-minute viewing arranged with just 20 minutes’ notice. We were promised a follow-up call that never came. After four days with no response, my husband left a message—still nothing. Five days later, when he eventually got through, he was told that feedback emails had supposedly been sent after every viewing, but due to a “system glitch” we had not received any. When my husband calmly explained that, given the repeated failings, we would no longer be using their services, the call was abruptly ended. On calling back, was told he had hung up (which was untrue). The receptionist then shouted at him, insisted he was speaking to the wrong person, and hung up again. We never heard from the office after that.
To add to the frustration, the original property description they produced was wholly inadequate—poorly written, grammatically incorrect, and nonsensical. We had to rewrite it ourselves before it was even usable.
Overall, this agency has shown a consistent lack of professionalism, communication, and respect for clients’ time. I would strongly advise others to avoid entrusting them with the sale of their property.

Can't do their jobs properly and tried to shift the blame to the solicitors involved when called out on it. Avoid them and go instead with someone competent that doesn't have an attitude problem. What a shame you can't give zero stars.

I know little about the letting side, but as a landlord I like the rules for letting that this agency has as I feel more protected.

?? If anyone is looking to put their property on the market I would highly recommend they do not list with South Wales Property Investors and Lettings in Treorchy.
Moving home can be a stressful time and the people you enlist to sell your property should make it as smooth a process as possible.
We have had the worst experience with them the last two weeks and I wouldn’t want anyone else to be spoken to, lied to and dealt with in the manner I have.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Awful letting agency, will never use again! The fact this agency asks you to gather all the info yourself a which is a long process itself, they don’t do any of the chasing for you, asked us for a guarantor when we are working full time and only live in a property next door to the one we was showing interest in. We have lived next door to the property the whole time it was getting renovated, we wanted it from the start..when it finally came up for letting I contacted them the same day showing my Interest saying we have wanted this property for a long time, they asked us to get all the details ourselves and also to get a guarantor, we did everything they asked and even spent money to get the papers for guarantor to give to the agency, through this time they was telling us our pack looked great, we even drove to Cardiff to get bank statements same day to get everything sent over to get our chance to secure the property we have wanted for a while. After they have everything they needed, we was positive we was the couple we secured it, then to be told today that they have decided to go for a older lady, saying the landlord always wanted someone over 30, even though my partner is 31 in December, if this was the case all along why didn’t they say this to save all the hassle that was involved? To say I’m devastated is a understatement and how poor the service was, they have actually let us down, the lady they went for didn’t want the property as much as us, we lived right next door and watched and waited for it to come available only to be told they went for someone else down to age. I think it’s disgusting and in future really reconsider the huge process when they wanted a certain person all along. Do not use these!!!!!!

So supportive, understanding and professional - definitely ticks all the boxes for the best estate agent (and she’s even my street neighbour????). Not only did we have our offer accepted the same day as our viewing, during the process she let us open up the house to measure for blinds/furniture etc which was a huge help to us. If you’re looking to buy in the Rhondda, this is definitely the estate agent to use. No nonsense, efficient and so caring/helpful as it was our first home. The best service! At the end of the phone/email at all times. Our sale and purchase was quite complicated but we were supported by Katy and Miranda every step of the way. We were really disheartened because of the agents we were with previously...we thought that as long as they had their fees then they didn't care about us. But with South wales property, even after selling our house they're still there for us, helping us get through our teething problems.Would 100% recommend ! I wouldn't recommend using this company, i had sent numerous emails stating there were issues at the property with no response. I then decided to provide notice via the telephone and letter (more notice provided than needed ) and the weekend i was moving out i had a call to say my rent was due. I was told by Kate i hadnt provided notice!! The staff are extremely rude and Miranda couldn't run a bath let alone a business. Kate advised me to send the keys in the post which i did, recorded delivery to which i received a call to advise they hadnt received them. When i checked royal mail a member of staff had received them two days prior. She then advised they had the letter but the envelope was empty. When confronted about the situation as i felt this was a lie, she told me i could look at the CCTV of her opening the envelope. When advised i would do so that same day i was then told this wasn't available to do so, Even more lies. Luckily the previous letting agency had a key (south wales refused to collect from them when taking over the property) I was able to collect this from them and provided this to South Wales, Otherwise they were going to charge me for changing the locks. I have recently been informed South Wales have advised i have damaged the property and i owe the last month rent due to not providing notice. I have pictures of the property with dates and times and all correspondence needed reference the notice provided. Make sure as a tenant you keep these as South Wales are absolute liars. Lets see what response i receive from this as everyone else who's left a bad review Miranda has had something sarcastic to say. Chopsey cow!!!!

If I could give it more stars I would. Extremely professional service from the whole team. Miranda has been top class in selling my property. On top of this Miranda has given me sound advice and help in me purchasing my next property which is not for sale with themselves.

We have our property in Tynewyd rented out with South Wales property and management. They are managing the property because we are out of the country. They were hoping to rent our property out soon after advertising. This did not happen. We emailed the company on several occasions but got absolutely no response. The only way to eventually get their attention was to post a public message on Facebook which they eventually responded to. We wanted to know if they had managed to find tennants for our property. Quite soon after that, tennants were found. The house had been empty for almost 4 months, by then. The agency wanted to charge us £300 to clean the property and £250 to remove our furniture & take it to a rubbish dump! The furniture was not rubbish.We did not take them up on this completely overpriced offer.They also wanted £50.00 to clean the oven! We got all of this done for a lot less.The tennants eventually moved in. We have a few small boxes left in the garage and some wood in the shed.We have tried to arrange the removal of these, but haven't been able to do so. We advised the company that we,would be flying back to the UK specifically to move these boxes and wood. Last week I had a message from a member of staff who told us that if we didn't get the boxes and wood removed asap, they would remove them and deduct the fee for doing so from our next monthly rental! We actually had very little of the first months rental because of administration fees. So, potentially we would also be having very little of our second months rent. We weren't actually asked if we would like them to remove our items, we were told that they would be doing so & charging us for this! We were told that the tennants were 2 adults and 2 well behaved dogs.We have been informed by neighbours that there are 7 people & 4 dogs in our 2 bedroom property!.Also, our small garden is full of dog excrement! Despite emails advising them of this situation, they have failed to respond.
Absolutely appalling property management & extremely unprofessional staff. Who incidentally can not write a simple paragraph in basic English, when sending an email. Avoid this agency! One star given, simply because there is no option for no stars.

Having recently sold 1 property through South Wales Property Investors and Lettings, and just accepted an offer on a second (both to the very first viewings), what can I say. I cannot speak any more highly of Miranda and her team. They offer a professional and efficient service. Miranda in particular is available to offer assistance and advice either via the conventional telephone call, or through various forms of social media at all hours. They kept us fully informed of progress at all times. Great service, highly recommended, and will be using them again in about 3 months or so

Such a shocking company! Offered my partner a flat then when he contacted the landlord about the flat and to sort payment details out he was told that flat was already let out, so then the landlord offered my partner another flat in the same building.
A week goes by and my partner and the landlord are sorting out the details for payment etc for him to move into the property on the 19th December, my partner told the landlord he would tell him this afternoon on how the situation was.
My partner then got an email from the company saying that the landlord has decided not to let the property to my partner as he has found someone else!
I know neither me nor my partner will come near this company again!

An absolute joke of a company, they rip you off, lie to you and when you want to complain about a member of staff won't give you the details to do it, I would never recommend this company to anyone and they promise to do jobs that never get done but still take your money, wot a farce ????

Very incompetent staff throughout the two shops, overspoken by Miranda and hung up on several occasions. Lied to regarding the releasing of bond. When confronted in the shop, overspoke me once again, and once challenged she said she felt threatened. False promises of maintinence work for over a year. And once moved out of property, every phone call was hung up on. I wouldn’t redolent this company to anyone, because if there are any maintience jobs needed, or wanted to make a complaint, nothing is given whatsoever. Absolutely diabolical service.
