White and Guard were excellent to deal with but failed to sell our house. The communications are excellent, email, text message and an app, which works well. We went dual agent after several months of no success and the second agents got a buyer in three weeks. White and Guard worked harder and are better organised than the successful agent but crucially don't seem to fully understand the specifics of how to sell on our busy road. A lot of positive energy is needed to point out the upside of living on a main road.

We are a first time buyers and are new to the experience however, we have been in contact with many different estate agents when looking to purchase a house. From the initial phone call with White and Guard we could tell it was going to be a good experience.
We initially viewed the property with Tammie and she was very knowledge and helpful with giving us information on the property and the process of purchasing a house. We rescheduled a second visit and again went out of her way to help us to view with our work commitments.
After our offer was accepted we have been speaking to Paisley and she has been answering emails straight away with any questions we had and giving us as much advice as she could and made us feel at ease. The process was quick and we remained updated throughout, I do not have a bad word to say about the whole experience.
When looking to purchase a house we have been hearing all the horrible stories on how everything can go wrong, but at white and guard with the help of Tammie and Paisley I don't believe we could have had a better experience.
So I would just like to say thank you for making our first experience a good one.

I feel extremely disappointed with the service I received from James, the valuation manager at White & Guard. He came to value my property and provided an inaccurate valuation that ultimately delayed the sale of my home by over 2 months!!!. Despite my concerns, the advice and pricing strategy he offered proved to be ineffective in the current market.
Throughout that time, I was repeatedly told that the reason my house wasn’t selling was because there was no washing machine—an excuse that felt unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of revisiting their pricing strategy or approach, the agency dropped the asking price three separate times. This not only significantly reduced the perceived value of my home but also gave potential buyers the impression that something was wrong with the property.
Frustrated, I decided to switch to Morris Dibben estate agents. They valued the property correctly, marketed it properly, and secured a sale in just one week.
This experience has left me questioning the accuracy, professionalism, and overall effectiveness of White & Guard’s services. I would advise others to proceed with caution when relying on their valuation advice.

Initially had 3 Valuers from local agents. All came in with similar valuations.
Jamie who valued ours seemed to be the strongest character and least like a “yes man”
What they did that was different to the others was show examples of the same properties being marketed by themselves vs other agents.
We also noticed that most of the stuff we were clicking on on Rightmove were theirs.
Tammie who was the seller, very direct, no messing about and always felt like I was being treated honestly.

Happy to hide any issues that you may miss to get their sellers top money. Then when the sale goes through won’t help you rectify them in the slightest. Selling a dangerous property with a light switch in the bathroom less than a meter from a shower, no smoke alarms, faulty electric meter, constant debris falling down the chimney, TWO water leaks causing lasting damage a leaking roof, non functioning fridge freezer unit, radiators not working, sunken floor boards and many more issues. Be prepared to pay for any issues to get sorted yourself on top of the money you’re already paying for the property and to the estate agents. I would never ever use this agent again and will certainly tell others not to. They will never side with the buyer and always with the seller. They’re just as guilty as the sellers.

I am a natural sceptic of estate agents having had multiple poor experiences in the past, to the point that I thought 'they're all the same' and 'how "good" is a good estate agent?'

I had the displeasure of interacting with an estate agent who left me utterly offended and shocked by her unprofessional behaviour. I received her call regard one of the property I viewed yesterday. She would like a follow up and I said the price is higher than what I expected and so I would not make an offer. But she insist to ask me what do I think I will offer if I do. so I did.
To my utter disbelief, the estate agent had the audacity to respond with a completely inappropriate and offensive remark. She said, "I'll call you back if someone decides to give a property out for free." I was left speechless and appalled by her lack of sensitivity and disregard for my situation.
As a customer, I expect professionalism and respect from service providers, especially those in the real estate industry. It is absolutely unacceptable for an estate agent to make such disparaging comments to a potential client. She demonstrated a severe lack of empathy and professionalism. Even the offer I said if not what she expected, I don't deserve such a comment like that.
It is essential for company that values its customers and treats them with the dignity and respect they deserve.
In conclusion, my encounter with this estate agent left me feeling insulted and disheartened. Her offensive remark showcased a lack of professionalism and empathy that is simply unacceptable in any business setting. I hope that this review serves as a warning to others and encourages the estate agency to improve its customer service standards.

From start to finish it was a great experience. It started with Alastair, one of the partners, visiting and explaining the process. One of the reasons I chose them was because I had seen their extremely professional presentation of photos and details of properties. He and his team did not disappoint, and I was extremely impressed with the advertising details, which I am sure helped clinch an early sale. Talking of which we had two views almost before the print had dried. These two parties both desperately wanted the house, and viewed prior to the opening day. The next day, another twelve potential purchasers viewed the property, most of whom also put in offers. It sold for more than £20k over the advertised price to one of the two first viewers within days of being advertised. I was pleasantly surprised, as I thought our quirky home would not appeal across the board. The follow up team were amazing, working tirelessly, even some evenings, to push the lawyers in the chain along, and obtain the swiftest exchange possible, whilst keeping us well informed. I would have no hesitation in recommending White & Guard to any buyer or seller.

So glad we did our research and picked White & Guard. Super-friendly and professional! The property went onto the market on a Thursday, we had five viewings the same week and by Monday had three offers on the table and sold at 5% over the asking price, we were absolutely amazed and delighted. The sales progression team then did an outstanding job to chase all the solicitors etc to ensure this went over the line smoothly, we can't rate them high enough! Tammie and Leanna both did an amazing job and so did everyone else we dealt with.

We did our homework before engaging an estate agent for our sale, and White & Guard clearly stood out from the rest, and we were not disappointed. Throughout the process they were consistently on the ball keeping us informed and moving fast and proactively. We didn't have to chase them once.
The real acid test came when our buyers, who were already committed to moving out of their house for the buyer below, at the eleventh hour had a delay when their mortgage provider played a dirty trick so they could increase the interest rate and made them reapply. This left a young family with a disabled child completely out on a limb with nowhere to go.
W&G moved heaven and earth to arrange a short term lease contract to give them the breathing space and to move in. It was 5pm the day before they had to move out of their sold house that everything came together. Very impressive indeed! Subsequently our sale completed without a single hiccup.
Leanna was our main point of contact, but we can't commend her in isolation. The entire staff at the Bitterne office, and the agency's letting team were amazing, exceptionally competent and enthusiastic throughout. We can't conceive any other estate agent could possibly match them. Brilliant job well done!

They had a good knowledge of the local area, and were ambitious yet realistic about the value of my home. This led to us having a lot of interest and a sale agreed within a couple of weeks.
After the sale White and Guard were on hand to support with any queries, and more importantly, help chase the sale through, regularly checking in with other solicitors and agencies involved. I believe that without this the sale could have been delayed by longer than necessary.

We were very happy we went with them in the end, we did a lot of research before picking our estate agents to sell our home, we wanted people we could feel we could trust and had a good reputation. Fees were competitive against other agencies around. People seemed super helpful and happy to talk to us every time we rung up.
We loved how they presented the homes they sell and the amazing photography was the deal breaker for us. The only thing I would say is a negative is perhaps that they were too optimistic on our evaluation as we didn’t get near enough the figure we were first told in our initial evaluation. Nonetheless I would still use their services again as they overall experience was pleasant.
The post sales team was incredible, I really do believe that our estate agents were a huge part on us being able to complete in time due to tight deadlines and useless solicitors on the other end! Leanna in particular was an absolute lifesaver and did an amazing job at not only communicating with us the whole way through but also going above and beyond trying to chase other ends. So thank you White and Guard & the whole team. We would happily use you again, although I hope not anytime soon as I never wanna move again!

I am over the moon with the service we received with White & Guard! I dealt with Tammie (when viewing the property) and Chelsea for the rest of the time. I found Tammie super helpful, and honest when we viewed the property. Tammie was also really friendly! We hadn't come across many agents like that when viewing other properties. We had our offer accepted within an hour and was handed over to Chelsea very quickly to see through our purchase. We had a few bumps in the road with the rest of the chain but it wasn't anything to do with White & Guard. I am so impressed with the way they helped throughout the whole transaction, even when solicitors weren't playing ball. The experience from start to finish with White and Guard was great. Beck came out and discussed the whole process of us selling our property with them and showed us the companies incredible stats that made them stand out from the rest.
An open house was set up as soon as we were ready and every slot was filled! We received multiple offers via their already vetted and qualified buyers which made the process simple and easy for us.
Once our property was sold we were contacted regularly by Beck to view properties before they were going to market so that got first dibs! I’m very picky so we saw a fair few but they knew exactly what we were looking for.
As the chain completed their progression team kept in contact with us and ensure the process was moving as seamlessly as possible and they were more than happy to help us set up second and third viewings with the vendors so that we could get measurements for building work.
The whole team is professional, friendly and knowledgeable in their field. Highly recommend!

Just wow! They spent a lot of time taking top quality photos and video, and it paid off. The particulars looked fantastic. Had two viewings the first day and twelve the second, Ten offers, and two from the first day bid against each other. Achieved more than we could have wished, and more than the other agent s who valued the house. At the moment their sales progression team are keeping me well updated with progress through to contract. All the staff I have met or spoken to are friendly, helpful and fantastic.

I don’t normally write reviews but I really feel I had to with this company. They appear great if you are selling a property with them but if you are a tenant of a property being sold then they treat you like utter rubbish. The House we lived in was up for sale and the agent came round to take pictures of the property. He proceeded to move all of our furniture around without our permission and had little to no respect for us. They were extremely pushy on the phone about arranging viewings and when an offer was made for the property in front of myself the agent sarcastically smiled at me and didn’t even ask the potential buyer to step outside to discuss their interest further. I wouldn’t ever recommend white and guard to anyone.

Well what can I say, where do I begin! From the moment Alister & Tammy came round to value our property I knew we were going to be in safe hands. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone throughout our journey and any questions I raised were always dealt with promptly. Leanna in the sales progression team did a great job at speeding things up in the final weeks of our sale, and we were always kept up to date with everything that was going on. Then, when our house failed to complete on time (through no fault of their own!) the team really went above and beyond for us, they stayed hours beyond the end of there shifts (on a Friday night may I add!) and made a very stressful weekend a lot less stressful for us. Honestly their customer service skills are second to none, they made us feel we weren’t just another “client” and we will definitely be using them in future and recommending them to everyone!

Awful agency. When anything goes wrong they ignored me and refused answering my emails. Shannon and Rebeckah very rude and unprofessional. Also they lied to me all the time in 4 month just to secure the sell in long term. I agreed to buy a house in February, paid survey, arranged mortgage and ended up waiting for the seller to find something. After 4 month they found nothing apparently. And these 2 girls didn t bother to tell me the truth about the waiting time. They kept lying that the seller is just unlucky in finding someting. What about, after 4 month to ask the seller to rent somewhere and look for something after. If you want to sell for an amazing price....you do something about it. I ended up renting because of their lack of professionalism, poor communication and ignorance. I also lost a lot of money. Now the house is back on the market and with the next buyer they will use the same lies just to secure the sale in long term. AVOID!!!! Don t collaborate with them unless you want to wait 1 year to buy a house

Having dealt with other estate agents I was so pleasantly surprised at how well communication was held from the beginning. Staff were polite and professional. When buying or selling a home you can feel like your agent is very present until your offer is accepted and then you can feel like what is important to you isn't important to them, You get a bit lost in the revenue target process. With Whyte and Guard I have felt like a valued customer from the moment I made contact, no pushy hard sales just knowledgeable staff that clearly want to make the right match when it comes to a sale and purchase combination. When I have called the office, I am called back. I don't need to chase for a reply. Contact is maintained and I know that the process is with a safe and professional team. Well what can I say? White and Guard have been exceptional, in particular Alistair Jones in the Bitterne office of Southampton. I cannot fault the service provided by White and Guard. From the beginning to the end they have been amazing. Every member of staff is professional, helpful and willing to do everything they can to assist. There was no pressurized selling, they were prompt with their appointments, arranging the open day and keeping me informed the whole time. They made me feel at ease when selling my property and I felt in safe hands the whole time. They were respectful and honest. Do not use any other Estate agent, other than White and Guard! From the first time I met Alistair Jones, I knew that I wanted to sell my property with White And Guard. He reassured me constantly and did not put any pressure on me. He answered all of my questions and even came to take beautiful photos of my house when he was meant to have a day off! He spent quite a long time taking tasteful photos and was respectful and so knowledgeable. He made me feel at ease. He introduced me to his colleague Jordan Ross, who conducted the open day. Jordan again was prompt, efficient and really professional. They are a great team! Thank you for all of your hard work!

Had a viewing booked with them for today and rang them to confirm the booking. They said it had been cancelled. They said they had rang my mobile yesterday but I didn't pick up. I said I had had a call from a number I didn't recognise but no message had been left.
So I then said I would have turned up today for the viewing being none the wiser and the arrogant lady in the estate agents office had the cheek to say said IF I HAD PICKED UP THE PHONE YESTERDAY I WOULD HAVE BEEN WISER.

After agreeing an offer the estate agent failed to contact or communicate with me for over 17 weeks.we heard nothing during this time from any of the staff, , Following completion I complained that we had received no support, sales progression or communication which is in total contradiction to their glossy marketing brochures suggesting they hold your hand throughout the process and are the best local agent. The managing director advised they only had to find me a buyer and was not obliged to sales progress or keep us in the loop. They didn’t even know the chain had fallen apart twice and offered no serious apology or compensation for the appalling service (none) we had received. If you want a good agent who progresses your sale and keeps in contact with you then this is not the company to use. I have sold 26 houses over 29 years and have never experienced anything like this. Absolutely atrocious service and attitude from senior staff stinks.

Late on last Sunday, I spotted a property I was interested in which was on with White and Guard in Bitterne. By Monday early afternoon I was in viewing and on Tuesday afternoon my offer was accepted. The speed of these initial stages was all due to the efficiency of Shannon in the branch who is amazingly organised, enthusiastic and proactive in her approach. My viewing and follow up communication with Tammie was also fantastic as she was informative about the property and able to professionally answer all my questions. Over the past year, I have experienced many estate agents but have been so impressed with the outstanding service I have received in such a short time. We instructed White & Guard to sell our house after a cheaper 'DIY' style estate agents gave a poor and impersonal service. Jason spent a long time making sure the photos he took reflected the full potential of our property, his knowledge of photography and skill in this area is a definite benefit. I found his attention to detail (such as the materials used in tiling) meant that the property description gives any prospective buyer a good feel for the place before they book a viewing. Lee and Alistair who did the majority of viewings made sure there was a steady stream of viewers and kept our property well promoted to potential suitable matches. They kept in regular communication with us, including regarding feedback (which was chased very quickly) and viewings, and enabled viewers to spend a good amount of time viewing rather than rushing (which the last agency seemed to do). We have been really happy with the service, and now we are sold, I feel confident that they will help us get the paperwork completed asap through their sales team. Would highly recommend!

House Sold on the first round of viewings and to a buyer who they had qualified was able to complete the purchase.
I truly wish all other agents worked in the way White&Guard do and we may not of had our previously challenging experience with a different agent.
White&Guards attention to detail and communication was superb. Fortunately though we are having a much better experience with Jodie, Lloyd and Kelly.
